Revlon Shine Addict Nail Buffer Review

I always doing something to my nails, whether it be painting them or getting them done. They never have a dull moment, all this work to them does really damage them and the surface of them are no doubt feeling unloved. I got the chance to review and test out the Revlon Shine Addict Nail Buffer* to see how my nails can turn from the cleaner cinderella, to the princess! revlon nail buffer

Nails of the moment #2

OPI Don't Bossa Nova Me Around
I loved treating myself occasionally and seen as though I was coming to the end of my work placement I took the plunge and went to have my nails done. I was very scared because I wanted them quite short. Rest assured I came out of the salon and I fell in love.

Nails of the Moment #1

Essie Cocktail Bling

I used to always post on my nails, until recently when my nails have just become the least of my priority. Which means, similar to the makeup of the moment posts, I will also be sharing what I have been loving on my nails.

Elegant Touch Review

Elegant Touch
I was recently contacted by the lovely team at Elegant Touch to try out some of their nails and been the nail addict I am, of course I was going to say yes. Today I thought I would do a haul/thoughts about them and how I manage with them on.

Maybelline Midnight Red

Maybelline Midnight Red

Maybelline Midnight Red

Back in September I wrote a post all about  my favourite Autumn nail colours, since then I may or may not have encountered a few shopping trips and bought some more nail colours. One of which is this stunning one from Maybelline in'Midnight Red'. I have reapplied this colour ever single time I have gone to paint my nails and I can't stop staring at it. It is best described as a deep burgundy red that is perfect for this time of the year. I also love the formula of these nail polishes if you didn't already know because they apply beautifully, look stunning for a long time and never seem to chip even after the 7 day promise!

If you can get your hands on this gorgeous colour then go and get it because it is perfect for A/W!

What I've Been Loving - Bourjois Instant Dry Nail Drops

Bourjois Instant Dry Nail Drops

Bourjois Instant Dry Nail Drops

The Bourjois Instant Dry Nail Drops do exactly what it says on the tin to put it across simply. The nail drops are designed to be used after you have applied your polish and your top coat to speed up the nail drying process.

You use the pipette to apply the tiniest amount of this best described as 'oil' to your nails. Best applied to the center of your nails and then it spreads out to cover the whole thing. You then leave it for around a minute and then voila your nails are dry. I find that rubbing the 'oil' in works the best and nourishes your cuticles at the same time.

This is just one of the many things from Bourjois that makes painting nails fun and exciting! If you have no patience to wait for your nails to dry then try these nail drops and you will wish you'd discovered them earlier!

Autumn Is Coming - Nails

Autumn Is Coming - Nails

Autumn Is Coming - Nails

Welcome to the first installment of Autumn is Coming, a series where I show you how I am getting ready for the transition into the new season and my favourite picks. Of course I have to kick things off with my nail colour's of the season, and as you can see I am kind of obsessed and all 9 are very similar. The first three are probably the ones I will be going for the most this year as they are by my favourite, the first two are more of your typical purple and then Paprika is a very unusual colour, burnt orange and it is stunning with an all cream outfit!

The next four are 'pedicure colour's' not to dark to make my fee look invisible but also still sticking to the autumnal colour. Uptown is a colour that I have now decided can be worn all year round, and the Ted Baker one (part of a gift set at xmas) looks stunning on the toes as it is all glittery and can be worn alone or on top.

Finally we have two choices that I adore but maybe won't be using very often and that is because of the colour more than anything. Slip Stream is a bright purple, lovely but maybe not as autumn appropriate as I thought at first and Urban Purple is like the colour of wine and my skin tone like the latter looks washed out when wearing it.

Manicure Monday - BarryM Speedy Sprint Finish

BarryM Speedy Sprint Finish

After my Why I Bloody Love Autumn post, I was in the mood to pain my nails in the most autumnal colour possible. Of course nothing I had already was good enough therefore a shopping trip was in the distance and I picked up this new BarryM Speedy in the shade 'Sprint Finish'.

BarryM describe it as a 'pomegranate' colour but I would say this colour is a deep berry, burgundy and in the night it looks more like an ox blood colour. Making it perfect for the autumn and a great transition colour.

These new shades to the Speedy range are exclusively available to Superdrug and buy one get one half price!

Nails Inc Gel Effect - UpTown

Nails Inc Gel Effect - UpTown

I've been at a stand still with my nails at the moment, it has been my very last priority, due to so many other things going on at the same time!

A few weeks ago I had two family weddings in the same weekend and my biggest dilemma was nails! One day I was wearing blue and lilac the other day, very confusing to decided what colour to wear on my nails. In the end I went with a pinky nude, and this one is from Nails Inc in UpTown. It is part of their gel effect collection and I love it! The formula is very thick so you do get that gel look, and the shine is unbeliveable I didn't even wear a top coat.

Then topped the nails off with BarryM Glitter in Rose Quartz, one I go back to over and over again  due it going with everything!

What colour have you got on your nails?!

Summer Nails 2015

Summer Nails 2015

Summer Nails 2015

Summer is here and the best thing for me about the change in season is the change in my nail colours. I put away the deep berries and bring out the bright ones, in today's post I am going to give you the low down on my top 5 favourite picks for this year!

Rimmel Wild-er-Ness (£2.99)
Wild-er-Ness from Rimmel is a stunning lavender purple and I adore anything that is purple. This is a colour in-between a pastel and a bright, because it is very subtle. You need two even coats to get the colour in the bottle, since Rimmel have re-branded all their polishes there has been an improvement in the formula. It isn't as thick and the brush doesn't split when you use it.
Essie Resort Fling (£7.99)
I have previously talked about this colour on here already so this will be short and sweet. Out of all the colours mentioned in this post, Resort Fling is by far my favourite. It is a lovely orangey coral colour but isn't blinding that it looks ugly on your fingers. Everything looks good with this colour as well and it screams summer.
BarryM Eat My Dust (£3.99)
The Speedy range from BarryM is a pure stroke of genius and a range that lives by the name 'quick drying'. Eat my Dust is the best colour from the range in my opinion because of its uniqueness. it is a powdery, cornflower blue that has a grey undertone making it flattering to my darker skin tone. It is also a great 'toe nail colour' for the summer.
Maybelline Red Hot Getaway (£4.49)
This is the newest polish in my collection, I picked it up the other week after seeing the words NEW next to it in Superdrug. I haven't red much about this new shade from the range but let me tell you, it is amazing. It can be best described as a muted pink coral and looks perfect with a tan! It is currently on my toes and fingers because I am in love with it that much. These also do actually last for 7 days like it says - highly recommend buying them.
Nails Inc Uptown (£15.00)
Nails Inc have got the gel effect look for half the price thing nailed down. The shade Uptown isn't as bright as the rest of my picks but sometimes a nice nude nail polish is just what you need during the summer months.

These are my top 5 five, what are yours?

Spring/Summer Nail Edit '15

Summer Nail Edit

Oh BarryM, stop stealing my heart every so often with a new release. When I heard that they were brining out a range called 'Speedy' and it guaranteed to dry instantly? I was hooked. I waited a little while after they got released to see what other people thought of them, and then afterwards I popped into Superdrug and they were on offer for 2 for £7 - I basically couldn't resist and ended up buying 4, my favourite four shades. The shades I picked up, are ones that I think will be perfect for the spring and summer, they are bold and bright!

Nail Buff - Storing Nail Polish Online?

Nail Buff

I love buying nail polishes and store them on a acrylic storage unit, this means that I can see that every shade I have side by side and also the brands of polishes that I own. One thing I struggle with is that when it comes to choosing one to wear, it is very hard and trying to see if colours are similar to something I want to wear is a even bigger task. Anyone else know of the struggle? Well, let me introduce to you Nail-Buff, changing the way we buy nail polishes one step at a time.

The weather in the UK has been terrible and this grey is a great reflection of the weather outside! The formula for any BarryM Gelly is amazing and I follow in love over and over again every time I try a new shade!

This is BarryM's Rapsberry with Rose Gold Glitter on top and is the most beautiful combination I have ever seen, the colours work so well together and I wish that this polish was in gelly formula because it doesn't last as long! But never mind, still love it and have worn it for the the past week on my toes and fingers!

The Primark £1 Nails!

The Primark £1 Nails!

I posted this exact picture on my Instagram a few weeks back and my oh my did I get come lovely comments, as well as people at work telling me how lovely these nails are. Many were surprised to know that they are actually fake and not real! I found these super easy to apply and to wear as for me they weren't that long, I was scared to use and them and hoped that they wouldn't pop off..but they managed to stay on my nails for a few days and I am glad I went with this pattern as its perfect for the summer. I would recommend going out and buying a pack, they have such a wide range of choice for you to choose from and are worth it for only £1!

Autumn Picks| NEW BarryM Gelly's

BarryM Autumn Gelly

Seen as though its nearly the end of summer and we are approaching the Autumn season and months, I thought this would be the perfect time to kick off a new little 'series' titled Autumn Picks. By far my favourite season for so many reasons, and what better way to talk about it then blog about it! Each post that you see over the next three months will be all about different things, including makeup, clothes and even some random foody things! To read all the posts from this series click here and soon you will be able to see them all!
BarryM Gelly's

This post is going to be all about the NEW BarryM Gelly's that have launched, I only picked these up yesterday and just had to post a quick swatch and tell about them. For me the change in my nail colour and lip colour is the start to any new season, and this new collection has got me super excited! There's a total of 6 new shades in the collection, and being a big fan of them already I KNEW that I had to pick up at last 3 of the new colours and they were 3 for 2 in Superdrug..sooo?! There are around 6 new shades I think, but these three appealed to me most..who knows I may just buy the others, but I own similar to those colours and the ones I did pick up are different to any others I have every owned.
BarryM Gelly's
T-B Mustard, Paprika and Chilli

I love these three colours, they scream Autumn! The names are so cute and so are the colours! The swatches above are two coats and I think that if you are looking for some transitional colours to take you in to the next two seasons then these are defo for you. My favourite of the three has to be Paprika because its a colour that I don't own and is so pretty when I saw it in real life, but the other two also need an honourable mention!

Box Polish|Review+Swatches

Box Polish

Buying Nail Polishes are my guilty pleasure, I love buying new ones in all sorts of colours even though most of my collection is pinks and nudes..oh well! Today I bring you a new brand of Nail Polish that I am sure you will all fall in love with, I bring you 'Box Polish'
What is Box Polish?
Box Polish polishes are made by hand and each bottle is presented beautifully and inside holds the most gorgeous nail polish.  You an also request a specific shade, add glitter and personalise everything down to the bottle! This whole concept really drew me in and I wanted to find out more!
Box Polish

The Bottle
Very Ciaté like these bottles are very sleek and a really nice size, where you can see what's inside the bottle. Having bottles these sizes are helpful with glitter polishes because you can really see what kind of glitter it is going to be. I love the black lid as it makes it looks very professional. All the bottles have the Box Polish logo on the front and then on the back is the names of each polish and they are adorable names and fit really well with each colour.
Box Polish
The Formula
As soon as I opened the box, the first thing I did was swatch them, because I wanted to see what they were like. There was one opaque colour and the rest were glitters, I would say that all the glitters on their own don't show up very clearly on my little wheel; but on top of the black and other colours they would look amazing! The black took 2 even/thin coats and then it was done and like I said the glitters take more on their own as they do with any brand. The first two glitters and last one are all gold and vary in the size of the glitter so you can pick whichever you prefer. Then the sliver ones left are one small pieces and then a mix of chunky and fine glitter - one that has become my favourite all ready.

You will defo be seeing this in a NOTD post very soon so that you can see just how amazing they look!'

Box Polish Officially Launches on the 6th September,  2-4 at the Pavilion, Cheltenham.
Tea, coffee and cakes will be provided plus two brand new Box Polish collections, a competition to win a free polish and a live demonstration of the multi-chrome magic!

I hope you clicked on this blog post because you wanted to know what shade this beautiful colour of nail polish is! Its this perfect off white colour that doesn't seem to wash out my skin tone and looks amazing in the day and at night. 2 coats is all it took, and it took me by surprise. This is the perfect all round summer shade.

NOTD| Rimmel London 'Breakfast in Bed'

Rimmel London 'Breakfast in Bed'
Rimmel London by Rita Ora in Breakfast in Bed
My perfect summer nail polish. This is such a gorgeous colour and the picture does not do it justice as in real life it is the most stunning minty blue colour I have in my nail collection. The formula and staying power of Rimmel Polishes are always on point, and this just made me agree with that even more and I want to try more from the Rita Ora range as all the colours look amazing. The name is also uber cute and makes me feel all relaxed when I read it and wear the colour.
