6 Things To Do During Self-Isolation

What a crazy world we are living in at the moment. It all seems a bit surreal, I keep thinking this is all a dream/we're living the life of characters in a movie or something. We're a few weeks into the UK lock down and my life has changed so much. I work as a teacher and schools were shut around 3 weeks ago, we're teaching online now, which is new in itself and working from home is a completely different concept to me. I'm still trying to find that balance between sleeping and working, hopefully I'll crack it soon!

In today's post, I am sharing with you some ideas of keeping yourself busy/entertained during this lock down period or if you're in self-isolation for any reason. There's a little bit of everything in here, let me know if you have any suggestions too!

Removing makeup in the evening can sometimes be a pain, mainly after a long day and even night. I've seen Face Halo* floating around online for a while now but never really thought it would work, it claims to do a lot of things and I just wanted to put it to the test...

Mum’s Little Sudocrem

Some good news…
All Mums want for Mother’s Day is a nice lie-in

This Mother’s Day is taking place under extraordinary circumstances, it can’t be denied. With many families making the choice to stay indoors and self-isolate starting this week, nipping out to find a gift isn’t quite so simple. Fortunately, new research has shown that UK Mums aren’t actually fussed about expensive presents.

According to a study conducted by British skincare brand, Sudocrem, it’s the little things that count when you’re showing Mum you care. Gestures like letting her sleep in a little longer, watch a film she likes, or have a soak in the tub can be worth their weight in gold.

Skincare Haul

Ahhh skincare, what a wonderful thing. Products that can either make or break everything for you. A few weeks back, I went for a glycolic peel to help with scarring and acne. It was such an amazing experience and I have another one booked next week, but my skin went super sensitive and so dry! I needed to amp up the hydration in my routine, so off I went to Superdrug to do some (small) damage. I haven't been skincare shopping in a while, usually just order the same things over and over on Amazon - I was very very excited. This is a small insight into what I ended up buying and trying...

Easy Vegetarian Meal Ideas

Happy Saturday! Today I bring you a slightly different post than usual, its all about food. My second love after beauty. In the last few years, I have become more experimental with my lunches and dinners, to make them more exciting to eat! I've been a vegetarian since I was born, never had meat, fish or even eggs. I'm not entirely vegan, I don't eat eggs (religion and family), milk and yogurt don't sit well on the stomach and then I love cheese. I can tolerate some cheese but others such as goats cheese, which I adore, my stomach can't take no more :( This doesn't mean I don't have lovely food still. This is a post all about some yummy. easy meals recently and that took very little time at all!
