Empties #2

Empties
Another Empties post! I know have a little section in my room that it dedicated to collect the products I have used up! Let's go before we are here all day!
Bourjous Nail Polish Remover // I am depressed that I have finished this pot of fantasticness! I use this all the time to remove my nail polish and need to buy another pot as it is making my life easier and now harder without having it in my life.
Simple Moisturiser// I love this cream for my skin as it is very gentle, but I tried my best to use this up as quick as possible because I find that in the summer it is too heavy to have on and my makeup wont' sit properly.
Skin Therapy Scrub // I have already repurchased this because it really is that great, from the range that is available at Wilkinsons their cleansing scrub is great to use everyday or even every now and then because it feels great on the skin and removes all the nasty things that starts to build up.
Tesco Nail Polish Remover// Now you can see I haven't used this up and the reason is because I hated it!! I can't even express how much it bothers me that I have had to keep it until now to show you because the formula of it is horrible and takes ages to remove your nail polish off your hands and it stinks really bad.
Tresemme Shampoo// Another shampoo bottle because it is something that every girl uses up really quickly, this one for all hair types has been my favourite for such a long time but I wanted to try a new one for the summer so finished it quickly so that I can try more.
Simple BB Cream// There is a full review of this on my blog so I won't go into much detail but I think that this is amazing for everyday wear.
Collection Concealer// I am sure that this will be in my empties post quite a lot because I use this bottle of magic up so quickly and the packaging on this one looks awful because all of the writing has rubbed off as well as it exploding in my draw.
Witch BB Cream// Another product that I have hated since I bought it! I love Witch skincare products and had such high hopes for this BB cream but it really disappointed me as the colour is really off the texture is bad bad bad as it feels like glue on your skin. hate it so much!
Benefit Porefressional// A small sample of love. I loved using this Benefit primer and nothing compares to it, maybe one day I will justify paying the full price for a bottle but whilst I can afford I will stick to buying small samples.
Makeup Wipes// As you can see there are several packets of wipes here because I like to use them daily. Yes, I know that it a big no no in the beauty world but they work perfectly for me and I will carry on using them no matter what anyone says.

The I Will Always Repurchase Oath #1

The I Will Always Repurchase Oath
This is new type of post on this blog for a change, not just your usual things. I thought I would sit down and talk about those products that I am always buying and probably will for a long time. Tomorrow you will be seeing a post all about my recent Empties, but I consider that different to this post because here I am basically talking about those HOLY GRAIL items in my stash. And, I quite liked the title of this post too soo..
Simple Kind to Skin Face Wipes/ Yes, face wipes are a big no no. But if they are good quality I really don't see the problem. I only ever buy the big packet and still go through them so quickly, its crazy because my skin relies on them to make it better.
Quinoderm Spot Cream// My solution to every problem on my face. This spot treatment is great at controlling your breakouts as well as helping to calm and get rid of them. I use this religiously every other night, not every night because it is very and I mean very drying on the skin and basically peels everything off but in the long run your skin is much better off.
Clean & Clear Dual Action // Okay, so maybe I am cheating with this a little but even thought I am still going through my first bottle of the wonderful thing I am still allowed to talk about it right? The full review is here, but in a nutshell this moisturiser is great for those of you who want to control your shine, make you face feel nourished at the same time as clearing up your skin.
Soap and Glory Righteous Butter// Oh S&G you are amazing aren't you. No matter which or how many body butters I buy so collect, I always seem to go back to this one from S&G. Why? Because it smells like Jasmine and the scent lasts all day on your body and it sinks in straight away, which a lot of body butter don't do.
Rimmel Stay Matte// When I first bought this, I would not even imagine to have liked it this much but now I can't live without it or even with it. Perfect for shine, amazing extra coverage and lasts you a really long time. It has taken me months to get through one and to say I use it all day it certainly lives up.
Collection Concealer// Won't dabble a lot about this one because you are all already sick to death but  LOVE this stuff and in my lifetime will go through about 100 because its amazing!

What are your holy grail, I will always need to buy you again products?

The Body Shop Tea Tree Primer| Review

The Body Shop Tea Tree PrimerThe Body Shop Tea Tree Primer

My new favourite Everyday Primer. When I popped in TBS a few weeks ago I had to pick this up because Insta Blur was out of stock, so this was the next best alternative and boy am I glad I picked it up. As soon as you put it on your fingers you can see that its yellow which is ok because it becomes clear on the skin. When on the face it also tingles but that is fine with me because I know its working well.
This primer is suitable for all skin types as the bottle says which is true as I have combo skin and it works wonder. My skin is also blemished and I have seen a difference in the redness of my spots and breakouts.
If you are in the market for a new primer then this is what you need because it is amazing, and lasts for about  hours which is your average day and what more do you want?! It sinks straight away into the skin so you don't have to wait a long time.

GUEST POST| Special Occasion GRWM

Today you are being spoilt! My very very good friend Aamira who I talk about all the time has actually written this post for me! She's going to do a 'get ready with me' style post! This post will also tell you and show you that we are both very similar. Enjoy!
Prom, party or even a festival? Special occasions are personally one of my favourite times; not only do you get to go out with family or friends and have an AMAZING time, but you also get to doll up (which is probably the best part of the day; Shhh…)
As it was Eid this week, I had the opportunity of dressing up and playing around with makeup.
The Outfit
For my outfit, I supported a sophisticated nude dress with lace embroidery from Monsoon paired with a black lace bolero, black leggings and nude coloured heels from Next. I stayed minimal with my accessories and wore a black and silver bracelet with a black clutch bag.
PS. Sorry that there is no full photo of my outfit as it was a very busy day and I was unable to get the photo of my full outfit.

For my eye makeup, I thought I’d be a bit daring and have a first attempt at a slight smoky eye which is something that it extremely out of my comfort zone.
To create this eye look, I used colours from the Naked 3 palette which I am COMPLETELY obsessed with.
* Firstly, I used ‘Strange’ all over my eyelid which is a pearly white colour with a pink undertone to it.

* After I was happy with the brightness of ‘Strange’ on my eyelid, I applied ‘Limit’ on the last ¾ of my eye. This is a pinky nude colour which matched the colour of my dress perfectly.

 * Now to create the smoky eye! With the help of trusty old sellotape, I managed to create a crisp line. For this, I applied sellotape to my eye making sure it’s in line with my lower lash line and the corner of my eyebrow. I then lightly loaded my brush with ‘Blackheart’ and ever so gently made a ‘V’ using  the sellotape and my natural crease in my eye as guidelines. I then blended the black eyeshadow using windshield wiper movements. To intensify the black, I kept adding small amounts of black at the edge of my eye and blended more, again using windshield wiper movements. I also blended it into the limit just to the colours blend together perfectly.

* To add more depth into the crease of my eye, I lightly dusted ‘Trick’ slightly above ‘Blackheart’ on my crease.

* I then went back and touched up ‘Strange’ and ‘Limit’ by patting the products on my eyes using my fingertips.

* To line my eyes, I used ‘MAC Gel Liner’ which has a really thick consistency but is extremely easy to apply. As I have hooded eyelids, my eyeliner isn’t really dramatic and neither is the wing.
* To create the illusion of thick lashes, I lined the upper waterline with Rimmel’s ‘Scandal Eyes’. This really made my eyes stand out.
* For mascara, I used Maybelline’s ‘Rocket Lashes’ which dramatises my eyes and making my lashes look longer and extremely thick.
Eyes completed, now for the rest of the face.
The Face
Special Occasion GRWM

For foundation, I used MAC’s Pro Longwear’ in shade NC35. This is normally a shade darker for my normal skin tone, but because I have tanned recently, this colour fit my skin perfectly. It has a really smooth finish and makes your face looking absolutely flawless.
As I had run out of concealer, I was in desperate need to buy a new one. I bought Collection 2000’s ‘Lasting Perfection Ultimate Wear Concealer’ in shade fair. This concealer definitely reaches the hype and completely erased my dark circles.  For application of concealer, I usually dot 3-5 dots under my eye and blend inwards with my ring finger.

For blush, I use Gosh ‘Multicolour Blush’. This creates a really intense pinky-red shade of blush, making the cheeks stand out.
A look is not completed without Lipstick! I wore MAC’s ‘Ruby Woo’ Lipstick. Normally, I stay away from bright lips, but as it was Eid and I was supporting a nude eye, I thought, ‘Why not?’ This lipstick was really creamy but was also really drying so wearing lip balm prior to wearing this lipstick is a MUST!
And that’s it; a simple yet bold look which will definitely have heads turning!
Now time for the close-ups of the makeup! Remember, if you try this out, it won’t look exactly the same as everyone is unique and has different face shapes, eye shapes etc. stick with what you think will suit you from this look, and you will look as beautiful as ever!
