Dossier Perfume Review

If you love high-end designer fragrances but not the high-end price tag, you’ve probably heard of Dossier. Over the past couple of years, Dossier has absolutely exploded online, and it’s easy to see why — they offer affordable, high-quality fragrance impressions that smell incredibly close to the original designer scents.

The Idea Behind Dossier

Dossier was founded with a simple but brilliant idea: make luxury-inspired perfumes accessible to everyone. By cutting out the designer branding, fancy packaging, and celebrity marketing, they’re able to offer clean, vegan, cruelty-free fragrances at a fraction of the price — usually around £29-£39, compared to £100+ for many designer perfumes.

Each Dossier fragrance is “inspired by” a well-known designer perfume — and if you check their website, they tell you exactly which one they’re duping. The bottles are simple, elegant, and the focus is purely on the scent.

I’ve been testing out three of their most viral scents: Amber Cherry, Floral Marshmallow, and Gourmand White Flowers — here’s my honest review of each one:

Dossier Amber Cherry Review

Inspired by: Tom Ford Lost Cherry

Price: £39 vs £280+ for Tom Ford

If you’ve ever tried Tom Ford Lost Cherry, you’ll know it’s one of the sexiest cherry scents out there — but wow, is it pricey. Dossier Amber Cherry gets surprisingly close for a fraction of the price.

It opens with that rich, boozy cherry note — juicy and a little dark — followed by hints of almond and spice. As it dries down, you get soft florals and warm vanilla that really linger on the skin.

This one feels super luxe — perfect for date nights or evenings out. And the longevity is fab: I still smelled it on my skin the next day. If you’ve been wanting Lost Cherry but can’t justify the splurge, this is an amazing alternative.

Dossier Floral Marshmallow Review

Inspired by: Kilian Love, Don’t Be Shy

Price: £29 vs £200+ for Kilian

Floral Marshmallow is easily one of Dossier’s most hyped scents — and for good reason. Inspired by Kilian Love, Don’t Be Shy (Rihanna’s rumoured signature scent), this is a sweet, creamy floral with an addictive warmth.

You get sugary marshmallow and orange blossom right away, with a soft powdery edge that makes it feel really wearable — not too cloying. As it develops, hints of vanilla, neroli, and musk come through, keeping it grounded and sophisticated.

If you love sweet gourmand perfumes but want something a bit grown-up and elegant, this one’s a winner. Great for day or night, and it layers beautifully with other vanilla-based scents.

Dossier Gourmand White Flowers Review

Inspired by: Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb

Price: £29 vs £125+ for Flowerbomb

Flowerbomb fans, this one’s for you! Gourmand White Flowers is a gorgeous dupe of Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb — one of the most iconic floral perfumes ever.

It opens with a burst of jasmine and green tea, then softens into creamy vanilla and white florals. There’s a sweetness to it (hence the “gourmand” in the name), but it’s balanced — not overpowering.

This is a great everyday scent — easy to wear to work, brunch, or casual nights out. It’s light but has decent staying power, and it definitely gives that “expensive perfume” vibe.

Final Thoughts — Is Dossier Worth It?

I’m seriously impressed with Dossier — for the price, the quality is outstanding. The fragrances smell beautiful, last well on the skin, and the simple, chic bottles look great on your vanity.

If you’ve been eyeing up Lost Cherry, Flowerbomb, or Love, Don’t Be Shy but can’t quite justify the splurge, these Dossier dupes are 100% worth trying. And at around £29-£39 per bottle, you can easily build up a little fragrance wardrobe for the price of one designer perfume.

Have you tried Dossier perfumes yet? Let me know which ones are your faves — I’m already eyeing up a few more to add to my collection!
