Top 3 Pixi Milky Products

Pixi are one of many brands that I love. Their skincare and makeup is incredible and I am very lucky to be on their blogger PR list, its a dream. Everything I have tried from them, can be found under the Pixi tag, my love for them is indescribable. A few months ago, they very kindly sent me their Milky range, I thought instead of doing a round up post, I would share the 3 products that I have fallen head over heels for.

 3. Hydrating Milky Peel

This is a great at home peel for anyone who loves giving their skin some serious exfoliation. It retails for £24, which is cheaper than any peel you can have professionally.  The peel has a very cream like feel to it and is very easy to use and feels gentle yet clearing on the skin. It gets rid of dead skin cells, brightens the skin whilst not stripping the skins natural oils and drying the skin out.
I have sensitive skin, which is prone to breaking out. This peel hasn't (thus far) irritated my skin in the slighest. It gets a little red which is understandable but it makes it feel so soft and looks glowy after using. I tend to use this weekly.

2. Milky Tonic

Tonics are incredible for the skin and the Pixi ones are just out of this world. This tonic is infused with oat extract that helps to balance out irritated and angry skin. It smells incredible, but doesn't anger the skin and leaves my skin feeling nourished. I love using it after cleansing in the morning and patting it in to the skin as opposed to using a cotton pad. The tonic comes out of the bottle slightly cold, which made me start putting it in the fridge...not sure if you're meant to do this but I've had no issues so far with it. The cool, refreshing feeling of this liquid on my skin is amazing.

1. Hydrating Milky Serum

Serums are a product that I can't live without, I am seriously considering doing a whole post on my favourite ones because I love so many!
They are a great way of giving the skin some boost, and this one does just that. The white liquid seeps straight into the skin and makes the skin feel bouncy and supple. Its perfect if you have dehydrated skin, my skin has been so dry since being indoors for so many weeks and this serum has been the perfect addition to my routine to bring some life back. For me, this works much better at hydrating my skin than hyaluronic acid is.

I love this milky range and these three products have really sold me, I now need to try and see if I get along with the rest of the products...Have you tried this range?

Working From Home Loungewear

Since April, I like a lot of people in the world have been working from home. My bedroom is not only my room anymore but a classroom for when I'm teaching children. I'm in more of routine now than before and writing a to do list everyday has been a massive help too. Since the lock-down started, I feel like everyone went crazy for loungewear. Sales have gone through the roof online and I can definitely see why. The best place to buy comfy, stylish and affordable sets from is Femme Luxe*, so many choices and so cosy! Here are my two favourite sets, with my messy bun and makeup free face ❤🙌✨

Acts of Kindness During Lockdown

Lock down isn't easy by any means, its taken a toll on all of us, no matter what age or country we are from. We have been told to stay indoors and we know why, its for the best and to protect lives of others. Its hard not to see families, friends and other people like we normally would. I can't wait to get out of this and give my grandma the tightest of hugs. We saw her last in March, she lives in London and we're in Leeds - quite the distance, so that video call or text message means everything now.

Kevyn Aucoin Sensual Skin Enhancer Review

The Sensual Skin Enhancer by Kevyn Aucoin,  a cult beauty item, that I have always heard so much about! I’ve read reviews and watched numerous videos, scrolled past posts on Instagram - everything, all on this little pot.. I was so curious if it was worth the hype and if it works for my oily skin. I'd spotted this in TK Maxx a few months back and have had it my stash for a while, then a couple of weeks ago I started using it here are my thoughts...

Easter Egg Cheesecake: Using Up Easter Eggs

I love all the chocolate that comes out at this time of year, the mini eggs to the Lindt bunnies, they all really excite me! As a family, we tend not to eat the chocolate, rather just melt it down and dip fruit in. This year, I wanted to do something different and switch things up. I was scrolling through Pinterest this week and came across the most yummy looking egg cheesecakes and just had to try it out. This was the result and they went down a treat ❤

Ingredients - 4 Servings, 2 Easter Eggs

>2 Easter Eggs split open
> 1 packet of digestive biscuits
> 75g of unsalted butter
> 250g of mascarpone cheese
> Icing sugar (eyeballed and tested as we went along)
> 2 tbsp of vanilla extract
> 150ml of double cream

Method

1. Use a food processor or a plastic bag and break down the biscuits until they are in chunks. We had some finely crushed and some bigger parts for a bit of a crunch.
2. Melt the butter in the microwave and then mix in the with the biscuit crumb until everything is combined and mixed together.
3. Scoop the biscuit crumb into the egg shells and leave in the fridge for an hour to set.

Whilst the crumbs are setting, its time for the filling.

4. In a bowl, mix together the mascarpone cheese, vanilla extract and icing sugar. We used a electric hand whisk to beat the ingredients together until smooth and lump-less. I found the best way to add the sugar was a little bit at a time and then give it a taste test, you want it sweet enough for you.

5. After the mascarpone cheese mixture has gone smooth, add the double cream in slowly and carry on whisking. At this point, the mixture will turn from a smooth liquid to a very thick, creamy texture - it will look good enough to eat.

6. Take out the shells from the fridge and spoon the mixture into each one. Using these measurements, we filled all 4 shells. Smooth out the top using the back of a spoon and ensure all the mixture is inside the shell.

7. Decorate! Its time to decorate the top of the cheesecakes, this part is open to anything and everything. We went with some melted chocolate all over to decorate, then a combination of ferrero rochers and mini Lindts too. Mini eggs would be perfect for this or even berries!

A very easy recipe and a great way to get rid of those Easter eggs!
