L'Oréal Paris Infallible Setting Spray for Oily Skin

Has L'Oréal Just Made the Best Drugstore Setting Spray?

I'll be honest – I didn't think I'd ever find a setting spray that could replace my beloved Urban Decay All Nighter. It had been a staple in my makeup bag for years and was one of those products I'd happily repurchase again and again.

But recently, something changed.

Like many beauty lovers, I noticed that Urban Decay's setting spray just wasn't performing the way it used to. The finish felt different, my makeup wasn't lasting quite as long and it seemed to lose that magic that made it such a cult favourite. Following changes to the formula and the end of Urban Decay's long-standing partnership with Skindinavia, plenty of users online have been sharing similar experiences.

So, on a whim, I picked up the L'Oréal Paris Infallible 3-Second Setting Mist.

And wow.

The first thing you'll notice is that this isn't your typical refreshing facial mist. In fact, it feels a little like you're spraying hairspray onto your face! That sounds alarming, but trust me – it's exactly why it works so well.

As someone with oily skin, I struggle to find products that genuinely keep my makeup in place without turning me into an oil slick by lunchtime. This setting spray creates an invisible veil over your makeup that really locks everything down. Foundation stays put, blush remains where I applied it and my makeup still looks fresh hours later.

I've worn it during long workdays, shopping trips, evenings out and every single time I've been impressed by how well my makeup lasts. The shine control is particularly impressive too. Rather than looking greasy by the end of the day, my skin still looks polished and put together.

What I love most is that it delivers high-end results at a retail price point. With beauty products becoming increasingly expensive, finding something that performs this well without the premium price tag feels like a real win.

So, has it replaced Urban Decay All Nighter in my routine?

Absolutely.

In fact, I'd go as far as saying it's become my favourite setting spray ever. If you've been disappointed by recent changes to your go-to setting spray or you're simply looking for something that can withstand oily skin, this is one product I'd wholeheartedly recommend trying.
