Charlotte Tilbury's NEW Magic Cream

Have you heard the news? Charlotte Tilbury has given its iconic Magic Cream a serious upgrade… and honestly? I didn’t expect to love it as much as I do. I’ve always appreciated the idea behind Magic Cream — the backstage glow, the celebrity hype, the promise of instant skin revival. But (and this might be controversial), the original formula was never quite for me.

Until now.

The NEW Charlotte’s Magic Cream has officially had a facelift — and this time, I completely understand the hype.

First Impressions: What’s New?

The reformulated Magic Cream launches with a supercharged update designed to target modern skin concerns like pollution, stress and blue light exposure — all things our skin deals with daily.

At the heart of the new formula is Recoverstem™ Peptide, a world-first ingredient made from over 100 multi-action peptides derived from the Eternal Jasmine Youth Plant™. The goal? Support visible skin recovery while improving hydration, firmness, glow and texture both instantly and over time.

Big claims — but surprisingly, the results feel noticeable straight away.

My Honest Experience (And Why I Prefer This Version)

Let’s talk honestly.

I wasn’t a fan of the original Magic Cream. For my skin, it felt a little heavy and sat on the surface rather than melting in. I wanted to love it because everyone else did — but it just wasn’t something I reached for daily.

This new formula, though? Completely different experience.

✨ Texture: lighter, smoother and far more elegant
✨ Absorption: sinks in beautifully without feeling greasy
✨ Finish: hydrated, plump and genuinely radiant (not oily glow — actual healthy skin glow)

It feels more refined and modern — like the formula finally matches the luxury reputation.

My skin looks instantly fresher after application and makeup sits noticeably better on top. Foundation grips without patchiness and the overall finish looks smoother and more luminous.

The “Facelift in a Jar” Claim — Does It Deliver?

The brand describes the cream as a facelift in a jar, targeting 10 visible signs of ageing including:

  • Hydration
  • Glow
  • Plumpness
  • Redness
  • Texture
  • Firmness & elasticity
  • Fine lines
  • Lift & neck lines

While no moisturiser replaces professional treatments, I do see why people say this. The immediate effect is what stands out most — skin looks revived, cushioned and healthier within minutes.

It’s the kind of product that makes you look more awake even on tired-skin days (which, honestly, is when I reach for it most).

Who I Think This Is Perfect For

✔️ Dull or tired-looking skin
✔️ Makeup lovers who want a radiant base
✔️ All skin types
✔️ Anyone wanting instant glow without heavy skincare layering

If you avoided the original like I did, I genuinely think this version deserves a second chance.

Final Thoughts: Is It Worth It?

I didn’t expect to say this — but I love this new Magic Cream.

It keeps the iconic glow people loved while improving the texture and wearability massively. For me, it feels more wearable, more skincare-focused and far more enjoyable to use daily.

Where the original sat on my shelf, this one is actually making it into my routine.

And that says everything.

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐✨ (4.5/5)

Would I repurchase? Yes — which I definitely wouldn’t have said about the original.

Officially launched yesterday (5th March) and I can't quite believe I got my hands on it before everyone else!
