Winter Sun Preparation

All being well, my friend and I will be heading off to Croatia on Saturday for some much needed R&R! Like everyone, we've had the most hectic year and she's even graduated during all the madness! As a treat and celebration, we decided to book a few days away during October half term and I for one can't wait. We've taken all the precautions, have everything ready and can't wait to hopefully catch some winter sun! As well as working this week, I've also been getting myself ready for the holiday and here are some of the standouts for me...

I love going makeup free as much as I can when on holiday and for the last month or so, I've been incorporating vitamin c into my routine to help me achieve that glowy and fresh look. I've been obsessed with the Antipodes Vitamin C Gold Serum. It contains kakadu plum, which helps to illuminate the face. Bakuchiol to help with smoothing and  their signature grape and kiwi combination to help uneven skin tone. I love applying this in the morning under makeup to give me a glowy base and let it work some magic on my dull complexion.

As well as this serum, I've been trying really hard to remember to apply eye cream on everyday. I am yet to see drastic results but the Dermalogica Vitamin C Eye Cream seems to be slowly targeting my dark under eyes and I really hope it makes them fade away or at least make them look less tired!

The NYK-1 Lash Force is revolutionary and if you've not tried it yet -WHY? Nothing compares to this lash serum - nothing. I slipped off the bandwagon a bit with this and since August, made it a mission to get back on track and I am so glad that I did. This not only 'feeds' my eyelashes with lots of good things, it really does help my lashes grow and look fuller. Perfect for no makeup days when on holiday.

Obviously, we aren't going in the peak of summer! We're going in October, which for Croatia is their autumn too but its a whole lot warmer then it is here and for that I am so grateful. I've been suffering so much with dry skin all over my body and no cream seems to be helping. One night I decided to switch from using a cream to pure rose hip oil and let me tell you - life changing. I noticed an instant difference in my skin, even stubborn areas like my elbows are looking and feeling so much better.

I have really been working on my body and face skincare for the last month, in preparation for this trip and I hope it all pays off! When the PIXI Remedy Masks* landed on my doorstep I got so excited! They have some awesome products and masks are a great addition to the line up for their 'Rose, Vitamin C and Milky' range. These masks are huge tubs (just like ice cream) that come with little applicators to help you distribute the mask and they are lovely. They all have a jelly formula that feel cooling and soothing on the skin. Of the three, the Rose one is my current go to. I just love anything rose based on my face and this mask does not disappoint. It hydrates, soothes, restores and protects. What more do you want?!

Most of these, if not all are definitely going to have to make their way into my case and come with me as I can't live without them!
