Summer to Autumn Fashion Transition

The weather is taking a turn this week and its officially going to be the start of the cold days and nights, rain and all the autumnal feels. To celebrate the end of the summer, Joe Browns have launched their Shaken and Stirred quiz to help pick an outfit to wear when we go out or in the current situation - stay in...

When I took the quiz for myself, it ended with me being match with 'Sea Breeze', which when you read it is the perfect match for me! My wardrobe features distinctive pieces that keep me going all year round but have laid back yet uniquely stylish feel. All year round, I buy items that help me create a capsule wardrobe so that I have plenty of options on what to wear.

As the weather does turn and work is in full swing, my clothes need a autumnal refresh. I think its time I stop holding on to the summer and bring out the ''fall vibes''.

I've been loving wearing and paring the Constellation Necklace* from oNecklace, which is a brand that I have a few things from and have never been disappointed. The quality necklace is amazing and it looks so much more expensive than it actually is. I have it in rose gold as it matches the other jewellery I wear but it comes in gold and silver too. I love everything to do with constellations and it went well with my Space topic at school this month too.

This year, I am all about layering. The more the merrier! Not just to keep my warm and cosy but also because it looks amazing and so effortless. Let me tell you, suede leggings* (£35) are life changing. I've been wearing these none stop. They are soft, figure hugging and just so lovely to wear. I've had many compliments at work and I think these will be a staple in my wardrobe all through to next year.

If you don't have roll neck tops* in your autumnal wardrobe, then what are you doing? They are the most versatile piece ever. I love wearing mine with skirts, trousers, under pinafores - literally everything! I have them in black, cream and burgundy - three colours that look so good with everything and anything.

Now, you could just leave the suede leggings and roll neck how it is ... but throwing a chunky (really chunky) knit on top just makes everything even better! This mustard/yellowy cardigan* isn't my usual colour of choice but its grown on me and I am obsessed. It keeps me extra cosy and looks gorgeous. I think it would look even cuter with a belt around the waist but I don't have one that looks decent or is in good condition.

Pairing all this with ankle boots or knee high boots would look like I've just walked through autumn and landed. I'm obsessed with this whole outfit and its definitely got me excited about more autumn/winter fashion.

Sea Breeze was my cocktail match...what's yours? Take the quiz below and let me know!
