End of Summer Favourites

My summer officially ended on Monday when I went back to work :( Six glorious weeks off and now back to the grind. Even though I do love the lazy days, hot weather and doing nothing at all - being back at work feels good. I'm slowly getting back into a routine and actually have things to do, which is nice! Over the summer, I have discovered so many new products. From haircare to lip care, there has been lots. So, I thought it would be nice to whittle them down and select a few standouts to share with you today...

Real Techniques Sponge//
For a few months now, I've been using a buffing brush to apply my foundation. But since falling in love with the UD Stay Naked Foundation (full review), I have switched to a sponge. The foundation is very runny and a brush seems to soak up a great deal of the product compared to a sponge. The finish is also a lot more natural and flawless.
MUA Glow Highlighter

MUA Highlighter Palette//
I have a obsession with highlighter, own far too many of them for sure! This one was only £5 and packs a punch. All three shades are stunning but the first ( more golden) one is my current go to and its beautiful. Applies like butter, looks blinding but not too shimmering and against my skin tone looks very pretty!

NYK1 Lash serum

NYK1 Serum

There is nothing better than a good old facemask, especially one that really cleans the skin and this one from NYK1 is a game changer. My t-zone is my worst enemy. Breakout prone, oily and so clogged! I apply this mask weekly on this area and in return it leaves me with clear and unclogged pores. I find that my skin is so much smoother. The best part is when you peel it off, the satisfaction of taking it off is like no other. I love how I can feel and see my skin lifting and resurfacing.

My lashes are stumpy, without volume and very dead. I rarely have them on show as they stay behind my glasses. Didn't have very high expectations with this serum but I am pleasantly surprised at the results, my lashes have some life! The first week it felt like a bit of a chore to apply the serum but I kept thinking about the results of other people and stuck to it. Two weeks later, I saw a big difference when applying mascara as it was easier to get some volume and I didn't have to spend ages working the mascara in. After 4 weeks of using the serum, there is a lot more length to my lashes and they actually look nice. I now love applying a small amount along the lash line twice daily and let it do its work. There is no irritation or discomfort just beautiful lashes at the end.

huda beauty she-eo

Handbag Heroes
In a bid to stop hoarding receipts and other junk, I've downsized my handbag to a really small one and the makeup I keep in there has to be kept to minimum. Two items that I have adored this summer are the Huda Beauty She-EO and Too Faced Born This Way Powder Mini. The lippie is a great one to apply when in a rush and I need some colour on my lips. The powder is great for touching up without ruining the rest of my makeup.
