Styling Knitwear for Work

The weather has definitely taken a turn for the worse this week and for me, it has meant having a good look at my wardrobe. I love wearing pretty things to work, but want to stay warm at the same time. After a lot of trialling, I seem to have found the perfect pieces to take me through this season. They can all be styled in a different way each time to switch things up and I get excited every time I wear them!

All these gorgeous knitwear pieces are from FemmeLuxe, a new discovery for me but one that I will be using a lot more of. They have a wide range of clothing, suitable for all budgets and people - the best thing is the choice they have available. There is so much! You can spend a fortune on it all, you've been warned.
The first one that I have worn to death is this Red Fine Knit Oversized Jumper (£16.99), this is perfect for those days where the weather can't make its mind up. It is very airy, flowy and of course oversized which makes it super comfortable to wear if its warm and you can still wrap up in when its cold. I've paired it mostly with these wide legged navy trousers (a current obsession of mine) and pumps. The look is very effortless but the mix of red and blue together works so well. I also love casually styling this jumper with a pair of jeans and boots - much more laid back and comfortable. Having a few simple jumpers like these in your wardrobe at this time of year means that you will never run out options. These can be worn by themselves, layered with scarves and fur jackets or even different kinds of jewellery.

These days there is a lot of 'cropped' going on and for me it never really clicked. They aren't my cup of tea and I don't have that sort of figure, but this Mustard Ruffle Knit (£9.99), was too hard to resist. It comes in so many different colours and is actually really easy to wear. I've come to love how thick and cosy it is, perfect for when its freezing! The ruffles around the neck, tum and sleeves add such a chicness to it and I guarantee you will get people complimenting you! For outside of work, it looks amazing with a pair of jeans, however to make it more office appropriate - I've teamed it with a some high waisted grey trousers. This means that my tummy isn't on show as where the trousers sit and the jumper finishes is right in line. The colour, isn't one I usually go for but nothing screams Autumn more than mustard and I think its time for more of this shade in my clothing because it is so pretty! Wearing this, has also made me feel a lot confident in myself and makes me want to try more decent cropped clothing to see how I can make them work for me and my body.

If I had to pick a favourite of the 3, then this grey bobble stitch knit (£14.99) might just have to be number 1. Firstly, grey never goes out of fashion and it can be worn with anything! Then we have the soft, cushion like material that its been made out of, so well put together and so warm to wear. Next up - the sleeves. You all know that I love a good sleeve and this does not disappoint, it is all bobbled just looks so fashionable. It makes the jumper seem so much more expensive than it is. Also available in a variety of colours, this is a great staple for everyday. I've been wearing it with some high waisted jersey trousers and boots, a real autumnal look. Its is a little roomy, so a size down would be perfect if you like a tight fit but I love my jumpers to have a bit of snuggle room.

Femme Luxe have so much choice and I keep spending my evenings browsing the site to see whats new. A order will have to be placed once I get paid to keep my wardrobe filled with staple pieces that can be worn a numerous of different ways! Who said knitwear in the office had to be boring?
