Everyday Makeup for Autumn

I love doing my makeup but the dark, cold mornings are the worst because there's no light to see what you are doing. For all you know, you could end up walking out having put on everything backwards! Some days during the week, I have time to apply everything - choose a lip stick ect. Other days I have 10 minutes, to apply everything and GO! These are the products that have been my current go to and ones that I know will last, look good and give me a natural everyday look.

As the cold months have made a reapperance, my skin is flaky and dry. On a whim in Boots I picked up the Soap & Glory primer. I've read reviews about this primer and thought why the 'heck' not (get it?!) its a very creamy formula, which is odd for a prime but oddly works. It sinks into the skin straight away and helps to keep my face shine free all day. Following this, my foundation of choice has been the Revlon Colorstay Foundation for Normal/Dry. For a while I have been using the oily skin version of this foundation, which is amazing but as my skin was turning for the winter the dry formula is much more creamier and better coverage. With the primer it works a treat and to top it all off the Colorstay Concealer works wonders, under the eyes and on pesky blemishes. The three have become my holy grails for the winter and will definetely be getting more wear out of them, to set it all into place I've gone back to the Rimmel Stay Matte,Powder, I'd forgotten just how AMAZING this setting powder is!

Look Good Feel Better Contour Brush

The sun that my body caught a few months ago in Crete is still going strong, so my face needs to be darkened up to match nicely. To do this I've been contouring with the Sleek Face Form, this contour shade is the perfect cool toned colour to apply in the hollows and give me defintion too. Sometimes, I can apply a bit too much and it all comes down to the brush that you use. My go to recently has been the Look Good Feel Better Angled Contour Brush*. Its a small, easy to handle and precise brush that makes contouring just that little bit easier. The angled shape of it means that you can apply contour to the forehead, cheeks and nose with out any problems. The bristles are also really soft and doesn't pick up a shed load of product, meaning you have no waste. An amazing point about these brushes is that 8-12% of each brush sale goes to LGFB Charity.
I am still on the highlighting craze and the MAC Soft & Gentle is amazing for the winter time. It adds the perfect amount of sheen, glitter and dewiness to your skin. A little also goes a long way, applying too much can make you look a glitter ball but a small amount looks incredible. The Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara is just WOW. Its got a brush that reaches every single lash, a formula that lasts all day and night and then a result that makes your lashes look fake. A few coats of this in the morning and my eyes look awake and alive. Of course no makeup look is complete without a lip colour right? I am slowly getting into berry shades but for now my favourite lipstick is Twig fom MAC. Its taken me ages to finally try this shade and I wish I did sooner. The colour is great for everyday and its just perfect.
