Rush Haircare Review

Hair products aren't something that I use very often, but when I do I like to use good ones and ones that I know I can trust. I've recently been trying some products from RUSH and have fallen in love with. RUSH is a brand that has comes from a chain of family run hair salons and with over 60 salons open they really know their stuff and what is best for your hair. They have also recently started to sell in Marks and Spencer's which is great because high end hair brands are really hard to get hold of and been in M&S means it is much easier to get a hold of.

Rush Haircare Review

You can never have enough bottles of hairspray, because even when you don't think you need it you always do. Sometimes it will be for your hair and sometimes its a ladder in your tights - crisis! The RUSH hairspray is all about creating a flexible and soft feel whilst still making it long lasting. I have always found some hair-sprays eg VO5 to be very damaging to my hair not only do they feel really sticky but my hair feels awful and dry the next day. Whereas this hairspray contains vitamins that help to reduce the damage in your hair and help with split ends. Similar to the root gel that I talk about below it also has a citrus smell that is good enough to eat (please don't). With short hair I love wearing a little plait on the side but it always move around when I used this hairspray it lasted all day and the little baby hairs didn't move around!

This was the first thing I was instantly drawn to it claims to 'provide volume and style support to strengthen the hair'. It is recommended to apply a small amount of the gel to towel dry hair and then blow dry for added volume.
Upon using the pump the first thing I noticed was the smell - the product smells like a citrus juice in a gel form, hints of orange came through to me as well as being quite floral. Nice smelling products mean good ones right? I applied it into my roots and then turned my head upside down to blow-dry it, there was a little bit stickiness at first but then after a god blow dry it all disappeared into my hair and when I flipped it over my hair was full of extra volume something that doesn't happen very often with my stick straight hair. The picture above shows my hair after being blow-dryed and straightening and there is still volume left in.

I am extremely pleased with both of these products and think that for the price they are amazing!
The next thing on my list is definitely the dry shampoo and the volume spray..

Primark Haul!

After such a long time, I managed to make a cheeky little trip to Primark to see what they had on offer and as usual I didn't manage to walk out empty handed. I didn't pick up a lot of things but have fallen head over heels for the things I did find! Some of them are things that I can't stop wearing and using!

RefMe: Referencing Made Easy

RefMe

As you go through your school year essay writing becomes a chore and something that no one likes to do no matter how 'fun' you try and make it. Long nights and stressful deadlines don't help either and the worst thing is when you have to reference the entire thing, me being me always forgets to reference as I go along. This is mainly because there are so many different way to reference which way is the right way!!! Where do what go? What do you include? Well, now all of our problems when it comes to referencing has come to end all thank you to this amazing site called 'RefMe' the app and website that allows to you to scan and create your references and bibliography. All you have to do is sign up and your done! As an example I have used my ongoing A2 English Coursework Piece..
RefMe

This site it's self is pretty self explanatory, everything is clear to see and the method of inputting each reference is easy as well. If you have several essays on the go at the same time you can split it up into different titles and that won't get you confused either, I titled the first one I created for my A2 English Investigation Coursework. After that I went on to start adding the sources that I used, the first thing I added was a website and it found all the information from the article straight away, the date I went on it, the author everything.
RefMe
If you use books the site enables you to just search for the author or the title and then finds all the details, this is the greatest benefit of the entire site in my opinion. Because it saves you having to find all the details manually and write each section up. Another benefit is that there seems to be a whole library full of resources built into their system so if there is a piece of information you can't remember then this will do the work for you.
Not only is there a lot of resources buy also it allows you to reference anything whether it is just a chapter, a speech, a song or even a map the resources that sometimes make it difficult to write a final bibliography.
Once everything is into the system you just have to click export and you have all your bibliographies and references at your hand.
Don't you just love it when sites like RefMe.com also come in app form? The app is available on both Google Play and iTunes and allows you to sync it with anything you do on the website. That way if the savvy student inside you finds something when you aren't near a computer or even you can scan it and then research it later. Genius,

This whole process has been simple and quick, from finding the resource I needed to use to exporting it out into the document of my essay. Compared to any programme like Microsoft Word this is something more.

If you are currently sat there kicking yourself because you had no idea as to why you haven't used this before or even heard of this then now is your chance to change everything around and start using it! Let me know if you do, because for me it is a life changer and saver!

Spring/Summer Nail Edit '15

Summer Nail Edit

Oh BarryM, stop stealing my heart every so often with a new release. When I heard that they were brining out a range called 'Speedy' and it guaranteed to dry instantly? I was hooked. I waited a little while after they got released to see what other people thought of them, and then afterwards I popped into Superdrug and they were on offer for 2 for £7 - I basically couldn't resist and ended up buying 4, my favourite four shades. The shades I picked up, are ones that I think will be perfect for the spring and summer, they are bold and bright!
