Real Techniques Dupes? ♥

Real Techniques Dupes?
I understand if you are slightly confused by the title, but I am telling you the truth and nothing but the truth. I have recently become a online shop-o-holic and when I stumbled across ebay, I couldn't help myself to be honest. And I stumbled upon these make up brushes and ordered just two to test them out.  I then put the title into google and saw several blog posts with great reviews and just had to click buy. I haven't got the actual version of these brushes but judging by other photos they are very very similar.

I ordered the dupe of the stippling brush and the contour brush, which is style 01 and 02 which to me both look just like the actual brushes, a very similar colour and format. The texture is also very soft and it does the job perfectly. These brushes are available in other colours, which makes it different to the other brushes and there is a logo on the side.

The great thing about these brushes are that they stop you from buying a whole RT collection if you only want certain brushes and that is why this is a even better investment as you can't buy separate brushes which is a shame.

The quality of these are great. And the they got dispatched the day after I had ordered them and then they arrived before the date they were due, I was taken by surprise.

Afternoon Tea at Wentbridge + OOTD ♥

Afternoon Tea at Wentbridge

Last Monday I was invited to a lovely afternoon over at Wentbridge House Hotel near Pontefract. The afternoon included an afternoon tea* and a tour around the house and hotel to see what kind of things they have on offer and to talk about the upcoming ‘Yorkshire Day’. (picture heavy!)

As we arrived at the venue, we were seated in the bar area where we were treated to some yummy olives and roasted almonds. That we gobbled down so quick I realised after ward that I forgot to take a photo. We ate the snacks whilst waiting for the other bloggers to arrive.

After everyone arrived and we all had chance to have a snack, we made our way into the restaurant area. This was the part I was most looking forward to – The Afternoon Tea. It was my first tea that I was going to and couldn't be beyond excited to experience it. First was the usual tea and coffee round and then onto the yummy stuff (DISCLAIMER; you are about to get seriously jealous and hungry!) Everyone got a plate of finger sandwiches to share with a variety of gorgeous fillings; mine were different to the other bloggers because I am a vegetarian. Once everyone had finished there sandwiches or whenever you personally finished there was a lovely display of desserts ready to be eaten up.

On the bottom were scones which are the traditional posh afternoon tea desserts, which were served with local jam and clotted cream – both which were amazing on their own and even better together on a scone. The plate above was these yummy little chocolate cakes that were basically a choco-o-holics dream! They were so rich and just melted in your mouth. The top plate was the one I was looking forward to most; this plate consisted of slices of a passion fruit cheesecake and macaroons. My first reason for looking forward to it was because I had never tried passion fruit cheesecake before and it was so beautifully decorated that it was just too good to eat. The second reason was because it was my very first time trying macaroons and oh my. They were delicious and I just wanted to carry on eating them because they were so good and that’s why both these desserts were by far my favourite of the lot.

After everything was gobbled up and everyone had a chat, we were then guided around the house and the hotel. As you can see by the pictures down below, the grounds and the accommodation are such a lovely place. There is an older much more unique building and then the newer building, both have accommodation facilities that are spectacular! Each room was decorated differently and had its own personal touch. The view from each home was also great.

Wentbridge House Hotel is also the first ‘non spa hotel in the UK  that stock Elemis products, which is a huge bath and skincare range that specialise in the spa hotels. However, Wentbridge have put their own twist on it and let you have that spa experience without being at a spa by providing each room with Elemis products that allow you to pamper yourself and relax. There is also a big display in reception where you can buy the products, I thought that this is an amazing idea and really inventive!

Overall, I had such an amazing time and If the pictures mad you gasp and make your jaw drop then I suggest you visit. I recommend the place so much because their service and the house its self is amazing. It would be perfect for a weekend away; Wentbridge is also a lovely small town where it is quiet as it is basically out of the way.

I thought that I would also show you my outfit that I wore in this post as well! It was a hot summers day, so I decided to go with this coral coloured dress from Matalan. This dress was reduced in the dress sale that they have going on to £5! You can find more of the reduced dresses on line, and this one in store. I teamed it with this tan coloured belt around my waist and paired it with my new look sandals that aren't pictured here!

Nails Of The Week; Maybelline 'Coral Craze' ♥

Maybelline 'Coral Craze'

It has been a while since one of these posts! But I am getting back into the nails of the week posts, this is a nail polish colour from the Maybelline Colour Show range that I bought along with some others that you will see next week in a haul! This is such a gorgeous coral colour that is more on the orange side so it doesn't seem more red and more coral - if that makes sense.

I love the formula of these as well, it seems very watery but when it is on your nails it is much more thicker than you think and 2 even coats give you the colour you want. There are some lovely colours in the range which means that I need to spend some money.
The bottle is also a very cute size and the colour is great for the summer time!

MUA Lipstick Review; Shade 11 ♥

MUA Lipstick Review; Shade 11
Another drug store review today on a hot summer's day! I recently bought a MUA lipstick after seeing a lot of people on my instagram feed talking about them! So I got sucked into all the hype and spent only £1 on one! How cheap is that! I love the MUA range because of how affordable it is, and the lip products haven't been purchased by me before so this is a first!

I am also in love with the packaging because it is a sleek black bottle with a clear bottom so you can actually see the colour of the product. I decided to go with shade 11 because I wanted to get something pink but very subtle there is also another shade that I have my eye on.

MUA Lipstick Review; Shade 11

These pictures really don't do the lipstick justice! It is so highly pigmented and you are paying for what you see. It is a very smooth, soft texture and feels very light and comfortable on the lips. The colour is also great if you want to build it and make it more intense but I like the nude pink for everyday.

I will be purchasing some more and maybe just build a collection. To say I am not a big lipstick lover- I Love this!
