Hawaii Drugstore Haul

This is one heavy worded post, so you might need some snacks or even take a break but its here! My holiday consisted of sight seeing, sleeping and of course makeup shopping. I didn't really buy much from Sephora as we seem to get most brands over here now anyways but when I went to the likes of Ulta and CVS there was more of what I wanted. I have tried so hard not to use anything until writing this, so the dedication is real! This actually seems like a small haul now that I look at it, but I bought presents as well for others which I can't post on here, incase they see!

Maybelline is of course a brand that we can easily get in the UK but there are some products that are yet to make their way over, one of them bring the Fit Me Loose Powder. I hear Nikkia Joy on Youtube talk about this all the damn time and how amazing it is for oily skin and boy is she right. This stuff is powder gold (if this is a thing..). I got the medium shade and now regret not buying more of it - saying this, I think it will last me a long time because I've used it all month so far and it doesn't seem to be going down at all. This is a very finely milled powder that a light dusting over the skin keeps my foundation locked in place for hours. This is like Rimmel Stay Matte status, the only other powder that I use, like this is a big deal. Ahh, I am just in love.

The Butter Bronzer is a repurchase of mine, after trying it out last year I just knew I needed a back up. This is very cool toned, so on my skin looks a bit ashy at first but blends out to give me a lovely bronzed glow. Wet n Wild have also launched here now, but the highlighters were too good to not pick up. The pattern on them alone is worth picking up, the shades are stunning and I can't wait to finally apply them to my face!

On the lipstick front, there was a lot of choice of nudes and nothing else, which didn't bother me at all! I opted for a liquid lip from W n W in the shade Rebel Rose. A Dose of Colours one which isn't pictured here because its in my handbag, but this has quickly become a favourite of mine as the formula is outstanding. A Catrice lipstick to keep in work for during the day top ups, the formula of these are so creamy and I am becoming a big fan of the brand after trying a few bits from them recently.

In Ulta, I picked up this rose gold duo that came with a lip liner and matching lippie stick. Very similar design and concept of the ColourPop ones but not the same quality, the swatch I did doesn't seem to be very pigmented which is a shame but the packaging is stunning. The actual Ulta brand was also on display in store and desperate me with a different skin tone after four days, ended up picking up a concealer. This is infused with aloe vera and other good ingredients that makes it kind to the skin.

The Ulta had just opened on the island, I couldn't make it in the morning for the grand event but later on the day I managed to pop in a see what its like. It was amazing, think Cult Beauty in real life. On one side there was all the brands such as ABH, Clarins, Tarte and then the other side was Morphe (in another post very soon!), E.L.F, L'Oreal and so many more. The whole experience was just amazing, the store was really busy but the staff were so friendly and the shop itself is heaven. I signed up to their rewards system whilst paying, because who doesn't love a good loyalty scheme! The very kind sales assistant gave me a makeup bag as a gift for signing up and for being from the UK, which was so lovely of him. It wasn't until I went back to the hotel that day, that I realised the bag was FULL. It had all of the above products in, along with brushes that I've already started to use. Its given me a real insight into the brand as a whole and the eyeshadow palette is great for this time of year.

A very simple haul, I picked up foundations too which you can read about in this post. Keep an eye out for my Morphe x JH post coming soon...
