Happy 5 Years Class & Glitter

Today is a pretty special day in my books, 5 whole years ago, I published my first blog post! It seems like just yesterday that I started this crazy hobbie, every post since then I have loved writing and photographing. Each year, I have made small improvements to the way this blog looks and the content that I publish and create. I started this blog as a way to help me deal with stress during GCSEs and now I'm in my final year of univeristy and still going! Each year, this blog has come with me on my crazy educational journery and I hope that it keeps going through my career too.

A few weeks ago, I did something pretty big and scary. My university's student union contacted me out of the blue and asked if I would be up for doing a blogging workshop for a group of students. My head was 'yes go for it' but my heart was so nervous. I have only just started telling people openly about my blog, if they find out for themselves so be it but me telling them as a coversation starter is a bit nerve wracking for me. This 'workshop' consisted of me telling students why I blog, how to start up, tips and tricks and a little photography demo too. I was absotuely petrified but it went so well, so good that a few of the girls have started their own blogs from it and are loving it, this made me squeal with exciement! I did that, I helped them and now they're beginning their crazy journery. I don't want to brag or sound snobbish, but this was a massive achievement for me and I couldn't have ever done if it wasn't for all of you following me and supporting me - so thank you. To my best friend Aamira for giving me the courage to do this in the first place, without here Class and Glitter wouldn't even exist.
happy 5th birthday

One thing, that I have really pushed myself on is fashion posts. I love beauty and always will but posting outfits has been so much fun. Since finding the lovely Laura early in the summer, my OOTD game has been upped by a hundered levels. She is incredible at her job and is so easy to work with. For this special milestone, we decided to theme it all around the number 5 - hence the candle and cake, who doesn't love cake?! Also, a gorgeous dress. This floral number is from Cari's Closet*, a site that stocks everything and anything for all different budgets. On there site, you will find some stunning evening dresses, killer shoes and gorgeous accessories- the one stop shop for everything. I adore this dress and think that it is perfect for any special celebration, it has been designed in such a way that you can wear it off the shoulder too, so much more chic! It puffs out too, so makes you feel and look like a ballerina!
