The Everyday Makeup Essentials

I find myself falling in and out of love with makeup, sometimes I'll wear the tiniest amount of just concealer and other times it will be a full glam face. One of my resolutions for this year, makeup wise was to wear more of what I own and experiment more. Part of the experimenting is wearing more makeup on a daily basis, not layers of foundation but putting a lot more effort into what I apply and use. These are the bits and bobs that have lately been catching my eye and I've been wearing.

For my base I've been gravitating to the L'Oreal Infallible Foundation (full post here) more and more. It provides me with a meduim coverage that lasts all day without zero shine, when applied with a trusty beauty blender it covers everything and gives my skin a flawless look. To follow up, the Collection Concealer has made its way back into my makeup bag, since discovering an unopened tube in my bag its made me fall for it again. Its great at highlighting under the eyes and covering any pesky blemishes, just wish the shade range was a bit better. The L'Oreal foundation keeps me oil free without the need for powder, which is incredible and from concealer we skip straight to definition.

For my cheekbones and non existant jaw line I love using the Sleek Face Form Kit, the contour shade in this is perfect for my skin tone and helps to define that jawline. Mixing this in the with TBS Baked to Bronzer  gives my skin a bit of a bronze glow perfect to combat the winter dullness. To highlight and add an extra wow to my skin, the MUR palette is my go to, the shades in this compact can be mixed to create a subtle and skin lit glow.

Now onto eye makeup, something I never ever thought would be something I would do everyday but it makes such a difference to my look - I love it! It starts by slightly combing out and defining my brow using the Benefit Precise My Brow Pencil, the deep brown shade is ideal to just fill in the gaps. For shadow the Urban Decay NAKED Ultimate Basics palette is the one. Its filled with gorgeous matte shades that you can sweep over the lid and you are then good to go. The bottom row in particular are the ones that I am loving currently, just look at 'Extra Bitter' a deep orange!! The Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara is an old favourite of mine and many others, it gives my lashes volume and length without getting in the way of my glasses - such a pain! On the odd few days, wearing lashes have also become my favourite thing to wear. these gorgeous pairs are from Threads who sell a stunning selection of eyelashes for all occasions. The Vava Voom pair are my favourite at the moment for a classy yet flashy look.

Picking a lip option in the morning is the hardest decision I have to make, with a draw full of the same shade of nude lip its a tough choice. Keep an eye out at the weekend for a whole post dedicated to the everyday lip! Since, recieving my Colourpop Order the lippie stick in Lumiere 2 is my go to lip option. Its a pinky/mauve nude that applies like butter to the lips. Granted that it doesn't last very long unless you apply a lip liner underneath, for which I have been picking Rimmel's Eastend Snob, it looks gorgeous for everyday.

It may seem like a lot of makeup and hassle to wear everyday but it takes me no more than 10 minutes to apply it all and walk out of the day looking fresh faced. I am hoping to switch up everything every once in a while, so look out for more everyday makeup posts!

What have you been loving lately?!
