Aloha UltraLite Suncare

Aloha Ultra Lite Sun Lotion

Aloha is a British brand that supplies you with all sun protection needs. From SPF8 to SPF50 you will be covered with their wide range of products that include lotions, children's sun protection and aftersun. Their newest range is a UltraLite range and in this post I will be reviewing the Sun Lotion*.

What Makes Aloha UltraLite Different?
Well, this is what I was thinking as well. The UltraLite range has been developed to give you protection from the sun along with it feeling amazing on the skin. As soon as it is applied to the skin it will absorb quickly to leave it dry-to-touch and the best part? No greasiness.
Aloha UltraLite Suncare

As you can see from the image above the sun lotion is a very thick consistency and this worried me at first because surely non-greasy lotions shouldn't be this thick. Don't be alarmed however, once you apply it to the skin and rub it in then it disappears slowly and doesn't feel as thick.
It sinks into the skin really quickly, on my dark skin leaves a white sheen so I know where I have applied it but after that goes and I am left with no feeling of lotion at all!

I went with the SPF50 because in the sun no matter how strong it is, I prefer to be fully protected rather than only half/a little bit. The type of sun care you go for is up to you, the factor you get is also up to you but please remember your sun care when on holiday or even out in the sun. It is very important to stay protected and be aware of the consequences if you aren't.

The UltraLite range features an SPF 8, 15, 25 and 30 and 50. There is also a range for kids which contains a light blue shade to make it even easier to see where cream has been applied - making applying lotion fun!
Aloha UltraLite is priced from £2.99 (250ml) and is available in Savers stores nationwide.

Gladskin Acne Review

Ergh acne, what a horrible word but something that I have to live with and have started to cope with, changing my diet, looking after myself and the most important one of all my skincare has become very important to me. For the past few weeks I have testing out the Gladskin Acne Gel* +  Daily Care Cream* to see how they work and what benefits they have.

Daily Care Cream (30ML - 14.95 50ML 19.95)
I am terrible at applying moisturiser to my skin and the main reason is because a lot of them feel greasy. When it came to testing this care cream I didn't have very high hopes, but the texture of this cream isn't greasy at all and sinks into the skin to give you a nice base for your makeup/other skincare products. All Gladskin products are made for sensitive skin, paraben and perfume free makes them great for all skin types no matter what you are.

Acne Gel (30ML - 24.50 50ML - 39.50)
I have never used a spot treatment like this acne gel, you don't apply it last or on top of everything instead you apply it first, leave it for 5-10 minutes and then apply your creams on top, the gel can be removed if you want but by the time is up the gel disappears. The experience of using this was very weird, but I have got used to it and two weeks after using it I have seen an immediate difference in my acne overall, mainly on my forehead. It is recommend to use this twice a day, but I forget most of the time and just used it at night - perfectly fine! The only thing I don't like about this gel is the consistency. I expected a 'gel' to be much more thicker, yet this is runny. After 10 minutes of applying however it becomes like a peel, and you can remove it?! Very weird but it works!

The best thing about both these products is the pump on the bottles! It makes applying them easy and fun as well. I love that within just two weeks of using these products as a pair I have seen a difference in my skin. My acne has reduced not disappeared but I guess that is something that takes time to happen. I love that Gladskin market these products together, knowing what to use and when.

Sephora NARS Birthday Gift

Sephora NARS Birthday Gift

I turned 18 last month and I am not even lying when I tell you that getting emails around/on my birthday offering me a special birthday treat gets me excited. This year one from Sephora got me really giddy, and I wasn't even expecting it!

Sephora now ships to the UK and since the news broke out a while back I signed up to their mailer but had no idea what I was letting myself in for apart from the odd email about their latest products. Then on the morning of the big day I got an email saying that my NARS birthday gift was waiting for me! How could I resist a birthday gift from NARS?
Sephora NARS Birthday Gift

Be warned you can't just claim the gift you have to put actually buy something and I wanted to get the 'cheapest' yet nicest item possible so that the cost of shipping didn't scare me as much. I opted for a matte lip cream which is yet to be used, so have a look out for that very soon. I didn't pay for express delivery just the normal one and it cost me £10 on top of the lip creme that I had to buy in order to get the birthday gift, all I kept thinking was 'do it for the NARS Parie'.
Sephora NARS Birthday Gift

About a week later it turned up and I have fallen in love with both pencils ever since! When you hear people rave about the lip pencils from NARS they are not lying about how amazing they are, the formula, the colour pay off and the look of them is just luxurious. The lip pencils are only mini, but considering that it is a free gift I am not complaining in the slightest. I believe that they change the gift every year, so if you have a birthday in the next 5 months then you are in luck and can sign up to receive this gift, if your birthday has passed let's hope for an amazing gift next year as well!

NOTD| Essie Resort Fling + Set in Stone

It has been a long time since I have posted NOTD and it's no surprise because I haven't bought any new nail polishes in AGES! It pains me every time I say that, but nothing is screaming at me, and saying BUY ME BUY ME!
Recently, I have been going back to the same duo or the past few months now and that is Essie's Resort Fling and Set in Stone. Both of these together are even better than on their own and there is just something about the brightness of them both that I love love love! It is also a great 'toe nail' colour and is an ideal good with a tan polish.
Resort Fling is the perfect Coral shade and is on the orange side of coral similar to a melon, the only downside to it is that you need three coats so the bottle is finishing quicker than I thought :(

This is definitely my go to nail combo, perfect for the summer! What are your favourites for this time of year?

Superdrug CC Cream Review

Sometimes you walk into Superdug and just don't end up buying anything you were meant to and instead buy something random and new to you. This time around it was Superdrug CC Cream RRP £8.99, lucky for me it was buy one get one half price on Superdrug so I got it for only £4.48 and then cotton pads for 50p - score! CC Creams and BB Creams have taken the beauty world by storm with every brand bringing out there own version, the Bourjois one is mean to be amazing but I opted for the cheaper version to get me started.

These are great when the weather gets warmer and you need a lighter base that allows you to let your skin breathe at the same time as correcting everything but not giving you a ton of coverage. This CC Cream promises to be a 6-in-1 day cream that improves the skin tone, conceals blemishes and imperfections, clarifying the skin tone, all day moisturising, and contains a of SPF 15 - not a lot but enough if you wear more on top when it is really hot.

When I squeezed it out the formula was very thick and this was scary because I expected it to be thin and more liquidly. It however blends onto the skin to become very light and feels as though there is nothing on your skin. The shade medium is perfect for my in-between skin tone and the range is also in light and dark, this makes it difficult as you have to guess due to not being able to swatch.

How did it work? Not the best thing in the world. I had really high hopes, a base that allows me to have those 'no makeup makeup days'. It covered the redness that I have on my cheeks, moisturised my face but I didn't feel that it covered my imperfections (spots and scars). I didn't expect that to happen anyway's but I would have loved some sort of coverage. This was the first time I tried it, then the second time around I used the CC Cream as a primer underneath my foundation as a primer/first layer this provided me with a little bit more of a even coverage but still not great.

I was really excited to use this but it just didn't work, maybe it is because of the weather? It just isn't the time to have a light base, but I will defo be taking it on holiday with me and testing it out again so expect to see a trying it again post! I think this is just a re-branded product from +Superdrug, but it appeals to me a lot more!

Do you both with the CC/BB Cream Trend???
