IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better Foundation Review

Early last month, I was very lucky to receive some amazing PR from It Cosmetics. A brand that I've not really tried much from but always heard such wonderful things. Initially, I thought it was just to try their newest launch the 'Your Skin But Better Foundation'. However, a whole bunch of goodies arrived at the doorstep and I am still working my way through each one. For today's post, I am going to give you my overall views and feedback on their newest launch and to tell you all the details about how it wore, looked and lasted on my oily skin!

MY SHADE:
I love the packaging of this foundation, the sleek and very lightweight bottle comes with a pump (hooray!) and feels very luxurious. I've tested this foundation out for a good couple of weeks, I haven't used it consistently every day but on the days I have worn it - spoiler alert - I've loved it. The above picture is after doing all my makeup and setting my face. I went it with my usual primer, powder and setting spray which I know works with other foundations. If oil started to seep through or something didn't look right, it has to be down to the foundation.

When I first started using this foundation, I went in with a sponge because of the thin consistency but I think my sponge was soaking up the product and I wasn't getting that much out of the foundation. I switched to a brush and it immediately made a difference. After 1 layer, my pores were slightly blurred, my scarring was covered and it gave me a nice natural finish - it dried down quite tacky. Then I went in with a second layer, which covered up most active spots and blemishes, any discolouration and really evened out my skin tone. I took these pictures for this post when my skin was at peak breakout central and I have to say it looked just as good coverage wise in real life as it does in the photos.

Despite having two layers on, it felt like there was nothing on my skin! It really was weightless and felt lovely on the skin. I loved how it looked and the natural skin like look it gave to my face unlike other foundations typically do. It wore better through the day too. I found a little bit of oil peek around my nose but nothing that a bit of tissue couldn't fix. I have also worn this under a mask and have to say it DID NOT BUDGE! I feel now, a mask wearing foundation is the best way to test it.

For the photos in this post, I applied it at about 10am and took the final photos at about 7pm. It was super dark outside, so I had to get the ring light out but I think it shows the foundation off in its true form...can we also appreciate how the curls in my hair just don't stay put?!

Has it improved my skin? I'm not really sure...I've been using it on and off and have loved it every single time with a combination of primers and powders but the skincare I use also plays a part in my skin looking better...

LOVE OR HATE: Have to say, I love it! My oily skin and I have fallen in love, its the perfect mix of a everyday natural skin like foundation that I keep reaching for. I can see myself reaching for it a lot on days where I want something more natural but also when my skin is looking all lovely and glowy!

Have you tried this? Or anything else from IT Cosmetics?
