Ideal Home Show Manchester 2015

The Ideal Home Show came back to Manchester for a second year, and I was very lucky indeed to attend courtesy of Plumbs! Here are some pictures from the show, and my favourite bits.

The home show is held at Event City a gorgeous venue and right next door to the Trafford Center making it a perfect day out for you and the family. When you enter the venue there are lots of different sections to visit - home improvements, interiors, fashion & beauty, technology and the area that we spent most of out time in Food!

If you have never been to anything like this, let me explain it for you. Each of the areas I mentioned above are full of stalls from different companies and brands selling their products and items. There is everything from blenders, beds to mini houses that you can look around. This year there was even room sets (collage above) that I have fallen in love with, the wildlife/butterflies inside the rooms make it very chic and pretty.

I also popped over to the Plumbs stand to see exactly what they were all about who produce high quality furniture Covers, curtains and reupholstery. They offer home visits free of charge to show you exactly what they offer and how they can revamp up your house. The fabrics on the display at the show were really pretty and I had to really stop myself from buying everything!

Have you ever visited the IHS? If not, I highly recommend visiting next time around it comes to either Manchester, London and I believe Scotland!

A big big thank you to the lovely people at Plumbs for providing me with tickets!

18 Things I've Learnt Before Turning 18

This Saturday I turn the grand age of 18 where you officially become an adult and the whole world is in your hands. I actually can't believe that 18 years of my life is over and I don't think I remember half of it but in the last few years I have managed to learn quite a few life lessons and general lessons so here are the top 18 ...
18 life lessons
CREDIT

1. Go with your gut on any decision you make
2. Don't waste any time on the people who don't have time for you
3. If you have any fears then face them because you may never get the chance again to do something you would never have the chance to do
4.  Spoiling yourself every now and then is always the right thing to do
5. There is nothing wrong with eating until you burst/pop
6. Don't settle for the first boy you see, and don't ever change for him either, he should accept you just the way you are (learnt this from other peoples relationship's)
7. Some people just don't want to listen you to what you have to say, so make them listen
8. Failing at something isn't the end of the world, in fact it is the start of a hard working journey
9. Have Fun
10. Money doesn't solve all your problems, it can help with them but not fix them that is up to you
11. If you want to stay in and watch back to back Disney films then why not?
12. If you have a dream that seems possible (even if it costs) go for it
13. Everything happens for a reason, a bit of a cliché I know but
14. Change isn't an easy thing to get used to but get used to it because it is there to stay
15. Accept yourself for who you are, flaws and everything
16. Laugh when you can because it helps you even in the most terrible situation
17. Forget about all the things you worried about in the last year or even 18 years because they were all important life lessons
18. Be who you want to be and be the best version of yourself

If you can think of any 'lessons' you have learnt in life let me know!

Silicon Mix Hair Treatment

My hair routine only consists of washing, drying and straightening - pretty basic but because of the heat I apply everyday my hair is very damaged and lately very dry. Swapping shampoos hasn't helped, so I have been trialing this Silicon Mix Hair Treatment* and it seems to have worked some magic.

What is Silicone Mix?
It is a deep conditioning treatment that helps to restore the health, texture and shine of your hair. The treatment helps to repair damage and ensures your hair is getting all the right minerals that it needs.

My Experience
It works wonders. After just one use I noticed an instance difference in my hair, the texture had transformed and my hair was silky soft. I wash my hair three times a week, but only use this treatment once a week, towards the end because I want it to last me all week. I apply it on washed hair and leave it on for around 5 minutes (longer than it recommends) just like a conditioner, I find this works better on my hair compared to leaving it on for a long time and using it like a hair mask. I apply this only at the ends of my hair, for best results.

The one thing that put me off upon first use was the smell, it is very perfume like and this is always worrying. Don't let that put you off though, because once you apply it and mix it in the smell goes.  The texture of the treatment is gel like and the creaminess makes it easier to apply in your hair.

Overall, I am thoroughly impressed with the results of this silicon mix! I would have never thought that a deep condition is what my hair needed, and will carry on using this all through the summer.

Rediscovered #3 - NC Bronzer

This week's rediscovered is this stunning Natural Collection Bronzer in Golden Glow, this brand is what I always used back in the day it was my makeup starting point and every time they had the 3 for £5 offer I would jump with joy and buy anything I could. I haven't actually used it since the start of last year and even though it is really bad to keep makeup products for a long time, this is still fine.

The bronzer has a very slight shimmer to it, for me a little shimmer is nice because in the warmer weather it looks lovely. I have started to use it as an all over bronzer rather than just in the cheeks and this makes my skin look a lot more glowy and alive then just one colour!

As we get into the summer months I am on a hunt for a lot more bronzers from the high street because they are just amazing! Let me know if you have any favourites!
