The Essentials; Pamper Evening with Chawtons

Every so often, I believe that we should all take some time out for our selves and just relax. Whether this means reading a book, watching TV, eating some sugar or running yourself a lovely hot bath and soak watching you tube videos and reading blogposts like I do! Whatever it is...make sure you enjoy it and really take the time to breathe and let go of all the worries and stress that you have on your mind. One of the ways is to dedicate a day to pampering yourself and recently I decided to do this with the goal of feeling amazing and happier at the end of it. Recently, I discovered a life changing brand 'Chawtons'  who offer a wide range of products that are relaxing and enriching.  Here are a few of my favourite ones and how I like to give myself a well deserved treat!

I usually do my pamper night on a Friday straight after I get in from school as this is when I need some serious TLC. The first thing that I have been loving to use is this Travel Fatigue Roller Ball* that is made with Rosemary and Eucalyptus oils that have been blended with Aloe Vera and Witch Hazel - all of my favourite things to create a roller ball that you can apply to you pulse points to help you feel refreshed and calm. This is something I use a few hours before I go in the bath, otherwise there isn't no point if everything is just going to get washed off, nevertheless I will be taking this with me when I travel away for the weekend or even go abroad.

Then I run the bath with some Luke warm water, I hate the water been really hot and uncomfy so somewhere in the middle is just right for me. To really relax myself and to help with the everyday pains and aches that I get from a hard day at school and then walking home  I use this Regular Mustard Bath* that helps with all my issues and helps to control my breathing. On a side note it is excellent if you are currently experiencing a cold due to this weather. I like to use a good helping of this stuff and swirl it around the water, and then soak my self in and let the  Wintergreen and Eucalyptus oils do their magic.

After getting out of the bath I like to generously apply my Soap&Glory righteous butter everywhere, this is super moisturising and applying straight after I come out of the bath/shower helps the goodness sink into my skin and I get the most out of the product. 

Then after getting into my cute Bambi PJ's from Primark I light this new Yankee Candle and then I am ready to apply my Muscles Cream*. I walk to and from school and up a big hill, so my legs and the soles of my feet get very tired every now and then. To look after them I love applying this cream because it works well and soaks into my skin quickly to make it easier to carry on doing things. At first the smell really gets to you, but then it fades away and in fact helps you get to sleep because of the calming Eucalyptus and Rosemary oils that have been put into this wonder cream.

Then I get my self tucked up in bed and close my eyes (after spending an hour or so on my phone) and get a good nights sleep ready for the next day! What are you essentials?

Haul||Primark Jewellery,Poundland&Boots

In half term I went to do some shopping but only really spent my time in Primark staring at the pretty jewellery as they have some really lovely things in at the moment! And then I went to Boots and let's just say the current 3for2 and my double points vouchers did the better of me and a quick stop in Poundland to see what goodies they currently have to offer. 

I don't know why or how but Primark have been getting in on point at the moment. I decided to update my accessories for the summer time and spring with some pastel coloured stuff as most of what I own is winter stuff. Plus, going to college at the moment and wearing normal clothes proves difficult If you don't have accessories to jazz it up. The first thing I spotted was this stunning flower statement necklace, that I cannot stop staring at - it will look great in the spring/summer with a peter pan collar or even with a jumper. To match that I also bought a bracelet that is fairly similar and some cute little earrings that come with simple pearl ones as well for everyday wear. I picked up some Midi Rings as well as I think that they look super cool to wear and ace when stacked up with different rings, along with some other rings that you can't really see in this picture as they are facing the wrong way but they come in a set with a flower and bow too. I also bought one packet of their false nails as so many people on my twitter and instagram feed have been raving about how long they last, so I got these printed daisy ones.

Then I promised my self that If I go into boots I have to spend wisely and it would then mean no more beauty spending for a few months. So I stocked up with some things that I have been wanting for a long time, so the 3 for 2 deal was superb! I headed straight to buy the new things that Revlon have recently launched first the  Matte Balm in 'Sultry' and 'Elusive'  then a Lacquer Balm in 'Vivacious' all of which are so pigmented and feel super soft when I swatch them on my hands. Then I bought another Revlon Lip Butter; these things are amazing and slowly becoming a habit of mine to buy! This new one is in 'Pink Truffle' a shade I have had my eye on for a long time, the perfect everyday nude. I also picked up the new Maybelline foundation that claims to help you skin, the disappointing thing with this is that the shade range wasn't the greatest so I went with '020 Cameo' as it was the closest I could get to my skin. I have also been wanting to try the erase under eye concealer for the longest time and decided to just buy it try out and after using it twice now I have fallen in love with it. I picked up another of my concealers as I need a new one to use, along with the constantly raved about Rimmel Stay Matte Powder. Lord knows, how many people talk about this on youtube and blogs so I thought I would try it out. 

I just had to pop into Poundland really quickly to see what they have to offer and to my surprise they had some things I was eyeing up online a few weeks back. I bought two Revlon Nail Polishes in Minted and Grey Suede as well as the Witch Tinted Moisturiser. I am a big fan of the brand so I have high hopes for this wonder product.

Ebay Finds|| Michael Kors Rose Gold Watch Dupe

One Saturday afternoon I decided to have a little browse on the Michael Kors website to see if there was anything that tickled my fancy. Wrong Choice. I basically fell in love with everything; the handbags, purses, watches and even the shoes! Everything just looked so pretty and I wanted it all!! But, then I snapped back in to real life and asked my self if I would actually ever pay nearly £300 for a watch , as it was the thing that my heart had fallen for. So, in the true spirit of finding cheaper alternatives, I found myself on eBay looking for some dupes. Shopping on eBay is a great way to save money on both designer goods and dupes and in fact, you can often find an eBay coupon to knock even more money off your haul - if you would like to learn how to use eBay coupons to save money you can discover more here by taking a look at some of the helpful resources on the Raise website.

I came across this  seller who sells MK look a like watches and literally nearly weed myself when I saw that I was only going to be paying £11 for a watch that basically looks the same! I was a tiny little bit scared at first of ordering as I didn't want to be mugged off, but to my surprise the watch arrived 2 days after ordering that Saturday (so it came on Tuesday!) in a little bag to keep it safe. It isn't as heavy as I expected, but is a little heavy if that makes sense, and I went to the watch shop nearby to get some links taken out and hey presto I had my very own rose gold watch. Since, buying it ..I cannot stop wearing it and have been staring at it constantly because it is just so beautiful. I may just order another one later in the year but a different style. The one I got is the 'Diamond Rose Gold' so it comes with the face all covered in 'diamonds' but there are other alternatives. 

I am so excited to start wearing a watch everyday and I find that anything rose gold looks great with everything you wear and the colour is becoming my fav!

Green Tea - My Skin Saviour

It's not a Tuesday I know, but I want to do a teen talk Tuesday style post all about my best friend Green Tea! A few weeks back I started a challenge to drink a cup of green tea everyday or even every other day if i can, to see what a difference it makes to me health wise and other benefits as well - and boy oh boy it has made such a big impact on my life. You won't see benefits straight away as it does take time!

Why Green Tea? 
Green tea has been used as a medicine for thousands of years, originating in China but widely used throughout Asia this beverage has a multitude of uses from lowering blood pressure to preventing cancer. The reason that green tea has more health benefits attached to it than black tea is (apparently) due to the processing. Black tea is processed in a way that allows for fermentation whereas green tea’s processing avoids the fermentation process. As a result, green tea retains maximum amount of antioxidants and poly-phenols the substances that give green tea its many benefits.

How has it benefited me? 

Well, I have seen a huge difference in my skin! I have a problem with breakouts and have found very few treatments that work for a long period of time, but since starting to drink green tea my over all skin complexion and the breakout frequency has improved so much. My main spots always used to come out on my forehead and they have dramatically decreased, there are still scars there but its good enough for me! I have also been sleeping a lot better (And a lot early in fact!) after a few hours of drinking the tea I feel tired and ready to close my eyes and sleep like a baby!
