Skincare First Impressions #1

My post man has been delivering me a lot of skincare recently and I am so happy and thankful. I think PR or samples are something that I love and am always so grateful for - its like its my birthday whenever a parcel comes! This past week I have been trying some new in bits from Antipodes, Dermalogica and Shiseido and thought I would do a sort of first impressions post and then hopefully review them fully in the future. After a week back teaching actual humans, my skin needs all the love!

I absolutely adore Antipodes and they have been one brand that I have always supported and loved since I started blogging. Their honey mask and kiwi eye cream are staples for me and my mum! The newest launch is something very different from them and very exciting - its the Culture Probiotic Night Recovery Water Cream. Its purple in colour and has the exact same texture as yogurt in my opinion and smells incredible. This cream has been formulated to help rejuvenate and hydrate the skin whilst feeding it with the good bacteria that our skin needs.

I have been loving this as my evening moisturiser! It has been hydrating my skin and gives me a lovely glow at night time, I have been pairing it with a facial oil too and the combination has been doing my dry patches from wearing a mask wonders. I can't wait to see the long term effects of this.

I have spoken about and mentioned the Clear Start range from Dermalogica a few times on here and I love it. Dermalogica aren't a budget friendly brand by any means but their products are worth the investment and these two newbies are worth the penny. I went on a Zoom call with them and Toff (Made in Chelsea) to learn all about the mist and the hydration gel and completely changed the way I use them. Typically, I would use products like this in the evening but I've been using them in the morning under makeup and they create the perfect base.

I start in the morning after showering and cleansing and spritz the Micro Pore Mist, not sure if it is benefitting my skin in anyway but its very refreshing and awakening in the morning. Then I apply the Cooling Aqua Jelly, which is the perfect gel based moisturiser to wear under makeup if you have oily skin. It gives you a dewy not oily glow and hydrates the skin - giving me the perfect smooth canvas for makeup. Adore them both!

Next up we have a serum and eye cream from Shiseido, as part of their ultimate power infusing line. I squealed when these arrived because of how bougie and high end the brand is as a whole. I have had these two for a while and still seeing whether they work with my skin or not. Still trying to incorporate the serum into my routine as I have so many on the go at the moment and the eye cream I am using as much as possible to help with my dark circles. Can't wait to see if these are worth the price tag.

So much skincare and just one face! I have completely changed my routine recently to use more hydrating products and I can't tell you how much my skin is loving it. Its been about 3 weeks since I've used any acid and I can't believe how much difference its made - I'm loving skincare so much recently!

What have you been loving recently?
