Head to Toe Party

'Tis the season to be jolly
Fa la la la la, la la la la
Its that time of year, when the sequins come out, the red lip makes an appearance and the Xmas music is heard all over the world. Its PARTY SEASON! I for one could not be happier, this is the perfect time of year to wear whatever you want and feel fabulous. I went to one christmas do at the weekend with work and a few more planned with friends - who even am I? This is a quick run through of my easy, yet pretty party look that requires very little effort, but will leave you looking and feeling wonderful.

Long Lasting Base

Having oily skin can be a nightmare when you have a special occasion as you never know when everything will start slipping off your face. This is why its important to use products that you know and trust, rather than using something new for the night to see how it goes. I love the combination of the Milk Hydro Grip Primer with Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation.

The primer moisturisers my skin and leaves it feeling slightly tacky, which helps with the application of makeup massively. It also helps with disguising pores, which is always a must for me. Whatever the weather or special occasion this foundation is the only one that I reach for. I rediscovered it a few months back, after going without it for some time and I just love it. Double Wear is perfect for you, if you have oily skin, want full coverage with just one layer and need something long lasting. It looks flawless and you really can't beat it.

I don't find the need to set this as its pretty locked in, just a bit of bronzer to warm my skin up and of course highlighter. I love a bit of a glow and this E.L.F one is gorgeous on the skin, its buttery and so glowy.

Golden Eyes

I can't think of a better reason to wear gold eye shadow then at this time of year. I am so simple when it comes to eye makeup, not very talented and hate having to sit there for ages creating a look. I picked up this cute Natasha Denona palette in Greece over the summer and have been so excited to get it out. The shadows are hella pigmented and blend so beautifully. I love the mix of shades within the palette and find it so easy to swipe them all on without too much fuss.

Layering a tiny bit of glitter right in the center, some mascara and of course falsies. I love the Red Cherry Wispy lashes*, they are easy to apply and wear. If you wear glasses like I do, then these are perfect, as they don't hit or irritate the eye area. Lashes make the biggest difference to an eye look, as you can see above, they just make the eyes POP.

For accessories, I tend to keep it pretty simple with items that are dainty yet stand out. My double piercing makes a great addition in the festive season as it gives me room to mess around with different earrings. I have been loving these bow earrings from Onecklace*, they're silver plated, very lightweight on the ear and look perfect with any look. These would also make the best Christmas present for someone you know, as well as all the other pretty jewellery they stock on their website.

As my accessories are pretty neutral and makeup isn't all out there, my nails become the star of the show. I love Christmas nails, so much so I plan what I'm having months before. This year it was time for a mixture and these are just perfect.

If you can't go all out in your own way at this time of year, then when can you! Happy partying people!
