NYX Soft Matte Lip Cremes

NYX is blowing up the beauty world at the moment. Its become so easy to get a hold of around the world and its slightly better quality than drugstore brands but not as expensive as high end. I've fallen in to the hype of the brand and you can see my first impressions here. Since then, every chance I get during my lunch hour I've been going for a browse around the stand and seeing what they have to offer. Of course as a beauty addict, I want everything.

One day, I was browsing the reduced section - its an amazing place to visit. Hidden at the back were the NYX Soft Matte Lip Cremes, reduced to £3.50 from 35.50. Not a huge discount but it was something. They were all sealed and unopened, I couldn't be happier.

Packaging

All NYX products seem to be packaged very 'basic', no fancy designs or tiny details. It is all very plain, black and standard. I love it in one way, because it makes travelling so much easier but also hate it, as I love gorgeous packaging. The colours of the tube, closely match the shade inside a great idea instead of having to open up the product.

Formula

All four of the shades that I have are within the same spectrum, pinky-nude. What can I say, its my go to colour. Each one applies the same and smells the same - like cake! I could sit and smell them all day long in all honesty. The application is done with a dofer applicator and the size is perfect for you to be able to draw and fill in your lips.
These glide on like butter to the lips, very soft (no pun intended) and silky. I find you need two coats for the colour to really show on the lips, whereas in the swatches on my arm I only needed one very odd. They last on my lips all day from first application, they have been my go to to wear to work as they don't budge.
