Why You Should Always Wear SPF & Giveaway

SPF - three of the most important letters you need to remember and learn this summer. No excuses about it will ruin your tan or that you don't like the feeling of it. Its the most important thing in the world and I am always preaching to my family about the importance of wearing SPF whether its 15 degrees or 50 degrees. It’s recommended to wear at least SPF 15 every day no matter what the weather. To protect against UVA and UVB rays which can cause cancer, ageing and sunburn.

I've really made sure this year that I am taking care of my healthy and my skin and it starts with the basic such as SPF. But just why is it important to wear it? (I'm about to get all geeky... you've been warned!)

> Protects You From Harmful UV Rays
The degrading ozone layer has put us at a higher risk of getting affected from the harmful rays of the sun. While the sun is great for Vitamin D, it does not mean that you should put your health at risk! Applying sun cream blocks these harmful rays from penetrating the skin.
> Prevents Aging
Want younger, radiant and glowing skin? Then apply your sun cream! It shields your skin from premature ageing such as fine lines and wrinkles.
> Skin Cancer Risks Are Lower
The biggest benefit by far is on your health, applying cream regularly protects your skin from various types of skin cancer, especially Melanoma - the worst type.
>Helps with Sunburn
Getting sunburn is not the nicest thing, it weakens your skin, and subjects it more to bruises. The consequences of sunburn include peeling, swelling, redness, hives, and itching. This comes from the influence of UVB rays. So, apply sun cream and stay safe.

Need to invest in some new skincare? Then I have you covered. My go to recently has been from Ladival, The first is the Ladival Lotion SPF50+  (£19.99) and the second is the Ladival Spray SPF15+(£19.99). All of their products are water resistant, both the flip top and spray make it easy to use on the go and apply everyday without any fuss. I love the formulation of their products because, they aren't greasy and sink into the skin straight away without leaving a residue. Which some creams tend to do.

My skin is super sensitive, when it comes to sun creams I am on the lookout for ones that don't contain perfumes, parabens and preservatives. The last thing I want, is for my skin to react to something that should be helping it. The Ladival products haven't broken me out, caused any irritation or redness - my skin loves it! Of them both, I seem to be going for the spray one more as it is so much easier to apply, you spray and then pat it in. So quick, I hope that the brand brings it out in a under 100ml formula so its perfect for the plane.

Available to buy at Asda, Boots, Lloyds & Well Pharmacy.
