L'Oréal Super Duo

Mixing foundations is something I have never done, I seem to always strike lucky with the right shade and can adapt to the formula of the foundation. Until recently. I saw the lovely Taylor post on instagram about her favourite foundation combination at the moment, that consists of the l'Oreal true match and the Infallible. After hearing her thoughts I knew I had to try it out to see the results. Low and behold the girl has done it again and has created a super foundation. 

When you mix them both together you are infact mixing the properties of each one, the True Match is light weight, medium coverage and gives a dewy finish whereas the Infallible is high coverage, sometimes too heavy for everyday and matte. When you put these together you have a foundation that is high enough coverage for a flawless face, a semi-matte finish that looks incredible and coverage that lasts all day. I have slightly fallen in love with mixing these both together, and it comes at the right time seen as though both of them need finishing up. 

If you like both of these foundation on their own, then I suggest trying to mix it up by putting them together because you are creating the perfect foundation. It isn't something I would do just for a quick trip to the supermarket but for a long day at work or school this is great.

Ebay Find - Cartier Love Bracelet

Don't you just love when you find something on Ebay that is an absolute bargain buy? This time I was on the hunt for a dupe of the Cartier Love Bracelet as I have seen many people wear the real ones, and saw a real one myself when I went to Munich, I just knew that I had to have one. I could not ever justify spending £4600 on one but can justify £3! 

As always with dupes like these, I can't compare them with the actual thing because I don't own one. But I can compare with images and to me it is pretty much the same. The quality of this bracelet is very good and surprising to me seen as though it was very cheap, it took a while to get here as it was from overseas but I haven't stopped wearing it since. 

I saw this very late at night on Ebay and am so glad that I pressed the Buy Now button because it is a steal and well worth the wait!

Primark Black Leather Jacket

Back in 2013 I posted a blog all about the leather jacket I picked up from Primark in a very unusual nude/pink colour. To this day I still own that jacket and wear it to death in the winter time, when I went university shopping with my mum is was apparently time to get a new one. I didn't want to go get just any old one I wanted one from Primark. If my other one has lasted me this long surely I can find another one that will last me as long. I couldn't find the same colour as before so opted for a black one instead and I love it just as much (maybe) even more than the other one. Ssshhh.

The quality is amazing and feels like real leather even though it isn't, the detailing is all in silver and very simple which makes me love it even more. As sometimes leather jackets can have too much going on and this makes it look manly.  It also feels snug and fits like a glove, at first leather jackets are hard to wear due to them sticking to you but once you wear it out, the comfort of it becomes the best thing. I guess buying a black jacket wasn't a bad idea seen as thought it goes with everything and it only cost £14 compared to the other one of £25. A leather jacket is the perfect thing in the winter as you can wear it at night, during the day or even with a hoodie underneath to keep you warm.

Maybelline Midnight Red

Back in September I wrote a post all about  my favourite Autumn nail colours, since then I may or may not have encountered a few shopping trips and bought some more nail colours. One of which is this stunning one from Maybelline in'Midnight Red'. I have reapplied this colour ever single time I have gone to paint my nails and I can't stop staring at it. It is best described as a deep burgundy red that is perfect for this time of the year. I also love the formula of these nail polishes if you didn't already know because they apply beautifully, look stunning for a long time and never seem to chip even after the 7 day promise! 

If you can get your hands on this gorgeous colour then go and get it because it is perfect for A/W!

Foundation: How To Get The Perfect Coverage

Every girl would like to have perfect looking skin. Getting your foundation technique just right doesn't happen overnight. It takes practice along the way. If you want to learn the secrets to beautiful skin, look no further. I've put together a few expert tips for you that might just change the way you approach your beauty regime. I hope you like them!

1. Prepare your base

Before you even reach for your tube of foundation, you need to start prepping your base. If your skin is less than perfect, don't panic. You should use a cleansing routine to keep it as clean as possible. Failing that, you might want to look into getting microdermabrasion. Once you have the right base, everything else will be easy.

2. Find the right tone

Finding the right foundation tone is not easy at all. You might think you know which one suits you, but how can you be sure? It is well worth heading to a department store and seeing what they have to offer. After all, the staff can help you in your quest to find the perfect shade for you. Ask them to try different tones on your skin. Once you know what shade suits you, you should always use it.

3. Use some primer

Primer is essential if you want your skin to look beautiful all day long. There are many primers on the market, and so you might want to test a few out for yourself. You need to get the right primer for your skin. Once you have it, it will help the makeup look fresh all day long. Before you apply your foundation, you need to smooth the primer over your skin. This step will reduce the look of pores and blemishes.

4. Brighten beneath your eyes

Do you have bags under your eyes? Well, you are not alone. Getting rid of them is easy, though, so long as you know how. If you use an eye brightener below your eyes, it should make all the difference. All you need to do is dab the solution on the area and then blend it with your fingers. Once you have used your foundation, you need to get the perfect finish. You can now get some luminous powder to put over the top of your foundation.
