Blogmas Day 2 || Night Time Skincare ♥

To be fairly honest, only recently have I started sticking and following through with a strict night time skincare routine. Without fail every night I used to just use make up wipes, then I converted and started doing the full works so that I knew that my skin was getting a through clean.
Night Time Skincare

I start off first with these ‘Tea Tree Facial Cleansing Wipes’ which removes all the makeup from my face with one wipe and assures me that even sleeping like this is still okay. If I am wearing any eye make up then these smaller compact makeup remover pads come out of the draw as they are amazing! One wipe thoroughly takes off all my primer, shadow and even waterproof mascara – great!

After wiping everything off I then use a facial wash from simple, this brand for me is the best when it comes to washes because they are made for sensitive skin and doesn’t react with me. After washing and patting dry, I follow up with a moisturiser that I am running out of. This clean and clear one is very old packaging but does the job perfectly...it targets break outs and helps to reduce the redness overnight – genius.

My skin in winter gets really dry and after using endless moisturisers I have finally found something that works like a charm. This ESPA serum that I blogged about a few weeks ago is just the bomb, I use it every night on my cheeks and nose to help with the dry, flaky skin. Not lying that this thing is amazing, I have seen such a difference in not only the dryness of my skin but also the brightness of it!

As for ‘treatments’ I always go towards this eye roll on from Q10 for under the eyes, the cool metal roller ball helps to target the puffiness and the liquid that come out of it really helps with my dark circles as they get pretty bad when I don’t get enough sleep. Finally, if I have any upcoming spots or really ugly ones then I use this tea tree post stick that comes with a doffer application and apply it all over the place. When I wake up I can see such an improvement.

Blogmas Day 1 || The 2013 Christmas TAG ♥

Hello and welcome to the first day of Blogmas! I will be blogging from the 1st to the 24th of this month, everyday! Be sure to follow so you can keep up to date with everything I post. Kicking it all off with a Christmas Tag to get us all in the festive mood! This is another Tag created by Georgina and the questions are ace!
The 2013 Christmas TAG

1.  Do you prefer a real Christmas tree or synthetic?
I have never had the experience of having a real tree, but I would love to! But for now I love the synthetic ones as well as they last a lot longer and are just as real looking as the real ones!

2.  You're in a coffee shop, it's December, what do you pick?
Ooh, what a tough decision.. Currently loving the salted caramel hot chocolate from starbucks but also the gingerbread latte. Hungry as I am typing this!

3.  Whats your favourite colour scheme for decorating the tree?
I love always having a mismatch tree, it sounds funny and weird but in a way works perfectly. This year I love the red chequered look it looks so different and original!

4.  Giving or receiving?
I love getting presents and opening them really carefully or even guessing what they are, but I love seeing the expressions on other people’s faces when they open other presents!
5.  To mince pie or not to?
Not a fan at all!

6.  What's your traditional sunday lunch?
As a veggie, I love my sides. The roasted vegetable, mash and gravy is my favoruite!
It just completes the whole meal and the dessert is the best as well.

7.  Christmas day fashion
I usually wear a nice dress on Christmas with tights, so that I am super comfy yet look really stylish and good at the same time. If I had the choice I would be in pjs all day.

8.  What's your favourite Christmas song?
I love all the typical songs ‘All I want for Christmas is you’, ‘Chestnuts Roasting On An Open Fire’, ‘Deck the Halls’, ‘Jingle Bells’ and the Buble Christmas album is an all-time favourite!

9.  What's your favourite Christmas film?
It has to be Elf! For me it is the cutest film I have ever watched and so funny as well.

10.  Open presents before or after lunch?
The little ones before lunch and the bigger more expensive ones after lunch.

Glitter Chat #2 - Christmas, Blogmas, New Year! ♥

Oh how it has been a while since I have just sat down and talked. Prepare for a long one guys, this could take a while. I have so much to tell you and so much has happened/happening since we last spoke...oh how time flies! We are at the end of November going into December which means we are closer than ever to Christmas and 2014! That is crazy when you say it out loud or even in your head, honestly time flies and I have had the best year in my life! This post it to just let you know about what is happening on my blog to the run up to the festive season!
Blogmas

I am doing blogmas this year (well hopefully) for those of you who are familiar with vlogmas then it is just the same but blogging, For the strangers to this name; I will be blogging everyday from the first of December to Christmas Eve! How exciting, some of the posts will be pre-written as I have a few festive posts I want to get up and others will be written on the day of something happening. I started planning all the posts at the start of the month and as it ends I am petrified. You can expect to see a range of different posts until Xmas Eve and then probably nothing for a few days as I will be taking a break to spend time with family and friends as well as relaxing and revising for mocks in January! You might be wondering why on earth I am telling you all of this but..I like for everyone to know before I do some drastic posting on my blog and you will be initiated with excitement. I hope you enjoy the posts as much as I did planning them and writing them, in the month of Novemeber/October I also installed photoshop in order to edit my photos properly as one of my blog resultions for this year and a lot of the blogmas posts have been edited using all the tools and psd's ect. so this is a very big step for me!!
Blogmas

After all of that craziness, there will be a short break on my blog as I want to enjoy some time with my family over the festive period..and revise for my mocks in January that start the third week into the month. Argh! But I will be back just before the new year for a quick post and then at the start of the new year, with lots of exciting posts and a blogging routine hopefully! I may also be reviewing/showing the things that I get as presents ... but I am undecided as I don't want to seem as though I am showing off - haha.

Next weekend, I am going to the clothes show which is also very exciting! I went last year with no idea what to expect and now this year I have saved up and can't wait to go. I will of course be blogging about it and hauling everything that I buy because you get some bargains on the day! My weekends have been so busy recently and will be now until the holidays..oh my days. I still need to finish my Christmas shopping as well, which I am hoping to do next Friday as I am in Leeds for the day with school - I think a shopping trip is in order. I want to pop into LUSH and pick up a few things as well as The Body Shop..but not spend too much.

Speak to you all soon - x

Decorate with Paper Themes ♥

With the festive seasons quickly approaching and everyone needing decorations for their party's or even for a wedding or in my case a anniversary party. My grandparents celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary on Thursday and as a thank you and happy anniversary we as a family decided to throw them a surprise party! Paper Themes very kindly supplied me with the party poppers, confetti and mini chocolates which all fit in the with the theme of gold and ivory that we set!
Here are some of the pictures from the night and the decor!

This was the entrance table as all the guests walked in, we had champagne glasses and sholer bottles ready to go for the toast. Next to is the gorgeous eggless cake that we had made, the bottom square was vanilla and the love heart tier was chocolate - yummy. We decorated the table and the other tables with mini chocolates and confetti it looked so pretty and magical.

When the decorations came in the post, they were all packed in a big brown box and inside were these sleek black boxes with the logo printed on the top that made it so much easier to carry and transport to the venue.

On the left are the beautifully patterned party poppers that look so pretty in real life, they made a quiet noise as well which is always good for those who get scared. The confetti is made up of gold and ivory love hearts and came in these cute little boxes. The bottom picture shows you how everything looked on the tables, both the things worked so well together and really pulled together the whole room.

These mini milk chocolates, where the best. They were so much fun on the tables and tasted even better. I love the idea of having these as so many people were snacking on them as well as eating them afterwards or even took them home for afterwards.
Here are the links for everything, I love organising and decorating things as well. The venue we hired out was Alder House Hotel.

Websites like Paper Themes are so much more economical than buying them in store, and there are always fantastic offers going on.
