The Interactive LOOK Magazine ♥

The Interactive LOOK Magazine

I love reading magazines, whether they come out monthly or weekly I love buying them and flick through them to learn about the latest trends and all the gossip that is going down in the beauty world! One of my favourite all round magazines that comes out every week is LOOK, they provide some many different articles and there is always something in there for everyone. I love the fashion spreads they have because there is always a mix between high street and high end so you can create the most amazing look for little or even more!
The world of technology has allowed so many magazines like LOOK to have their magazines digitally, so you can download on your smartphones, iPads! This is great and is so much easier than going out to the shop and buying them! However, if you do buy your magazines at a store then you should go pick up a LOOK issue as their magazines are now interactive!
The Interactive LOOK Magazine
the drop dead gorgeous Kate Moss is on the front cover!

All you have to do is download the Blippar app on your Apple devices or even Android for free and then all you have to do is scan the page and you will get directly linked to the site that is featured on that page! To make it simpler to understand, the app allows you to shop directly from the page as well as a chance to be the cover star!

The issue is currently on sale, and the above logo will be on the pages that you can blipp through the app and then purchase online if you really like them. As well as buying the products, you get a sneak peek behind the scenes look at the going on's at LOOK HQ!
Here is what I blipped and bought through the issue as I loved these items so much!
The issue is currently on sale until the 4th November, so if you want to spoil your self this week I would buy (the currently on offer for only 99p) magazine and then shop till you drop with out having to go out in this horrible weather!

The app was so easy to use and I can't believe that I have never used it before! When I held the camera on my phone of the front cover so many blipp icons appeared it was so amusing to click on them all!

This is one of things I actually went on and bought straight from the magazine, the trio of blushes that this model is wearing and that looks really stunning!

Not only can you buy things through the app, but you can also watch different videos, for example the one I was interested by and watched is the video of someone copying miley cyrus!

Here is what LOOK say...

A first for LOOK, the magazine is offering readers three ways to shop – ‘Blipp to buy’ from the print version, ‘Tap to buy’ from the digital version and via the websites online pop up shop. Each section of the magazine from catwalk, main fashion, celebrities wearing high street fashion to beauty; readers will be able to directly buy products from the pages of the magazine. Any page that has a Blippar ‘B’ logo will come to life and all the products on the page will be available to purchase via the Blippar app and will also feature behind the scenes videos of the fashion shoots.

Enabling consumers to ‘be a cover star’ by using Blippar technology; readers can download the free Blippar app and click on ‘be a cover star’by hovering the app over the cover and taking a photo of themselves. The image generated will feature the reader’s picture along with the magazine’s masthead to create a cover that can then be shared via Facebook and Twitter. In addition, the readers can interact with the beauty and catwalk pages by using Blippar to see how to videos for nails and catwalk shows featuring the products in the magazine. Readers can also star in their own beauty shoot.

Ali Hall, LOOK editor says: “The LOOK team are incredibly excited about our first interactive shoppable issue. Combining traditional print with new technology, readers can shop, share and watch like never before via their smartphone or tablet. With greater engagement and shareable content, we are meeting the demands of the tech savvy shopper and we can’t wait to see the results!”

Home Sweet Home Restaurant || Manchester ♥

During the half term the family and I popped up to Manchester to have a day out, and after a long day of shopping and getting drenched in the rain we were hungry monsters! It was one of those days where we just wanted to eat something warm, hearty and delicious! When I was doing some research on where we could go and eat that night as vegetarians I stumbled across Home Sweet Home that is located right in the centre of the city and when reading the menu online I was dying to try it out and I am so glad we did!
As we entered this american diner/ western restaurant it was packed and looked like we would have to wait for a while to be seated, but that was not the case! We walked and got directed to the back where there was a cute little corner table waiting for us and when I took my seat I knew I was in heaven.
The atmosphere in the restaurant was amazing, and there is something on the menu for everyone, as veggies we all really enjoyed it as there was so much to choose from! Not only were the mains sounds good..but the drinks where amazing! I ordered the Nutella Milkshake that was topped with roasted marshmallows and was truly heavenly! I just had to take a picture to share with you all, and then for mains I had there halloumi cheese and falafel wrap with sweet potato fries on the side - this was amazing. Every bit was so tasty and I felt like I was eating my life away.
If you ever happen to pop into Manchester, then I could not recommend this restaurant to you all more the food, service and just everything was amazing! Here are a few pictures to melt your heart and you will be very jealous of me!

Starting Off; Makeup Tools ♥

makeup brushes for beginnings
No way is this the last ever week of #TheSoProject!! I can't honestly believe that 10 weeks have gone so quickly, and that since first signing up to do this project my knowledge has grown so much more! For the final ever time, I will be taking to you about how to apply your make up.. there are so many different ways to apply it that you are spoilt for choice on what to pick and when and how!

makeup brushes for beginnings
First of all is the most common one which is brushes! There are so many brands out there that you could choose from and use, but my favourite has to be Real Techniques because there is something for everyone for such a great price. It would be something I would add to your wish list because they are amazing! In the below picture you can see two gold brushes, these aren't actually RT they are 'dupes' I bought this on Ebay for £3 each or you can but the whole set for £12. Just like the real ones they work perfectly! The on the left is mainly for foundation and is great for all different types! It also helps create a flawless finish on your face.. the one on the right which is pointed can be used for either blush or bronzer as it is tapered.
The one in the pink is from the actual RT travel collection and is the multi-task brush, you are able to use this one for everything - foundation, powder, bronzer and blusher. Just like the dupe ones it works perfectly on your face and picks up just the right amount of product!

The next thing you could use is make-up sponges that are now available to buy anywhere! These are great used damp with foundation and again give you that flawless airbrushed look to your whole look. For such a great price you can achieve such a lovely look and they come in all different shapes and sizes so you are able to find the one that is the best for you to use.

As well as using brushes and sponges for your face you need tools for your eyes to make them look amazing as well. The two black brushes in this picture are from a make up brush set I actually bought it in a set for Morrisons and haven't stopped using them since! The one at the top is a eye shadow brush which is flat so it makes it easier to really pack on that eye shadow and really bring out the vibrant colours that you want to show off. The other is a eye smudge brush that I love using to mix together colours on the eye and use it more on the crease line so that there aren't any harsh lines that make it look a little like a dolls make up. One of the best tools ever invented has to be the eye lash curler, this one from Primark is my favourite. Why? Well, it was not only cheap but also great at curling your eyelashes before you apply that lovely mascara to give you even longer looking lashes!
TIP - heat your curler for a little while with a hair dryer to make it easier to curl them lashes!

Thank you for being with me for the past 10 weeks and I hope that you have all enjoyed these posts, and if you want to go back and read the rest then click here to find them all together!

Favourite Yankee Candles for Autumn/Winter ♥

I have a serious obsession with candles, not just at the moment but all the time. After a cheeky few purchases I thought I would share with you my favourite ones for the up and coming seasons, there are two sweet scents that you class summery but I love them for autumn!

Favourite Yankee Candles for Autumn/Winter

First up we have two sweet scents that I love burning in the autumn as I think that they are great for the summer into winter transition. Vanilla Cupcake has a delicious and sweet smell to it, and very rich vanilla smelling! When I first heard the name I wanted to buy the big jar, but then I thought that it may be a little too sickly! So, I decided to just stick to the sampler to see how the smell does.
Vanilla Frosting is one I bought from Tesco so it was slightly cheaper than normal, again a very sweet vanilla smelling candle however isn't as strong smelling as vanilla cupcake, this is great if you don't want something heavy smelling and just a sweet note.

The next two, were kindly gifted last Christmas to me and I love them for the winter winter time. By this I mean in the run up to Christmas and after as well. I have burnt a little bit of each last year to get a sense of smell and I love the way they just fill the room with this scent.
Christmas Cupcake has to be my favourite scent for Christmas, it just makes you feel so cheerful and happy and makes your house smell like a cake making factory! This doesn't smell sickly either!
Next is Winter Wonderland, this straight up smells like fresh pine. I love the smell of pine, oak and real christmas trees and this is all them smells in one compact jar. You seriously can get the house smelling all cosy and warm with this scent of wonderland.

I have always loved burning tarts, they last for a super long time and they are a great way to test whether or not you are going to like the smell. These are ones again purchased from Tesco smell just amazing, Both are very spicy scents that are perfect for the fall time as they just fill the room up with all these amazing smells and makes the house feel very cosy and warm. If you like your strong, infusion scents then these are both for you!

And finally, are two fairly new tarts to the growing collection. On the left is Vanilla Chai which just smells heavenly that I can't honestly wait to burn it! And on the right is my favourite candle scent ever! Salted Caramel just smells amazing and it isn't too sweet smelling either as there is a hint of salt.
