This way, you won’t waste any time and you don’t have to take a place on the course if it turns out it isn’t for you.

You can’t realistically know whether something is going to suit you for the next few years without checking it out properly first. Go to a taster night and see how you feel. There may be lectures you can sit in on, questions and answer sessions with lecturers, and more. You can look around the grounds and get a feel for the uni. Speaking to those closest to you is a good idea. They care about you and should give you their honest opinion on whether it’s the right decision for you or not. They will more than likely encourage you to better yourself and tell you what a good idea it is, but you should still see what they say anyway. Remember, you don’t have to listen to them. It’s just another perspective for you to look at. You might find they offer to help you in multiple ways too, like bringing things over for you and helping you set up your new digs. How Much is it Going to Cost?

Knowing how much it’s going to cost is important. You’ll need to work out whether you need to get a part time job, and whether your student loans will cover everything. In some cases, you might not be entitled to much money. Make sure you do your research!
