Working From Home Loungewear

Since April, I like a lot of people in the world have been working from home. My bedroom is not only my room anymore but a classroom for when I'm teaching children. I'm in more of routine now than before and writing a to do list everyday has been a massive help too. Since the lock-down started, I feel like everyone went crazy for loungewear. Sales have gone through the roof online and I can definitely see why. The best place to buy comfy, stylish and affordable sets from is Femme Luxe*, so many choices and so cosy! Here are my two favourite sets, with my messy bun and makeup free face ❤🙌✨

Tackling Blackheads & Pores

Korean Beauty is such a vast world. I find that you can find products for absolutely anything, but its so overwhelming as there is just so much choice! I know, that if I were to visit any of the Asian countries, I would spend most of my time in the beauty shops buying new things to try out. I've been lucky in the past to try out different products from them and one day will have to do a must haves post, because the products are excellent! My most recent finds, helped me discover a new cleansing balm that has changed the makeup removal game. Today we are talking all about blackheads and pores...two common problems amongst us all....

Face Halo Review

Removing makeup in the evening can sometimes be a pain, mainly after a long day and even night. I've seen Face Halo* floating around online for a while now but never really thought it would work, it claims to do a lot of things and I just wanted to put it to the test...

Trying Soap and Glory Makeup

I have the biggest crush on Soap and Glory. Ever since I started blogging, they are a brand that have featured on here numerous times. The body washes, hand food, sugar crush scrubs and so many more are my ride of dies. There makeup is something that I equally love and have loved in the past. A few weeks back when an email popped through from their PR team, asking if I'd like to try a few bits - I SCREAMED. No, like I actually did and my parents got so excited too, as they know its a brand that I adore.

Korean Beauty Finds

I'm a huge fan of Korean skincare and beauty products, infact, I have a whole tag dedicated to them. They have some of the best products on the market and many brands now, take inspiration from them and their ingredients. When the team over at StyleVana got in touch to try some new bits, I couldn't resist. They stock a variety of brands and products, its more than possible to spend a fortune without knowing.

Pixi 20 Years of Glow

Pixi are celebrating 20 years of glow! What an incredible achievement. In that time, they've created some iconic products, some of which they have kindly sent to me in the most gorgeous PR package. As a brand, Pixi have taken over my heart. I adore their skincare and makeup products, everything I have ever tried from them can be found under this tag

Lisa Eldridge Velvet Myth Lipstick

I’m a huge fan of the queen that is Lisa Eldridge. She is someone on YouTube who teaches you things, as opposed to just doing things for the sake of it. She is very experienced in the makeup field, loves to experiment with colour and a pleasure to watch. When I heard that she was releasing new lipsticks back a few months ago, I had to get my hands on one. Her summer range was gorgeous but I own so many pinks and nudes, I resisted and waited for something darker - and I am so glad I did!

Sudocrem, The Unsung Hero

In the beauty world, there are 100s of products released every week. Some are hits and others are flops, in the skincare world there is one product that I come back to, time and time again. In my mind, if you use/repurchase a product more than twice, then its a holy grail and worth the splurge. For me this is 'Sudocrem', this unsung hero does not get enough praise for all its qualities and uses. Fear not, I will explain why it is an item you need to have in your stash - and it won't break the bank.

Pixi Pretties Collection Review & Swatches

Pixi have my heart. I am yet to find one product from them that I hate/dislike, and now their latest makeup collection has got me loving them even more. The Pixi Pretties collection* is a range of makeup that they have released with different influencers. For once, a brand has done a collaboration with people who I actually know! All 5 women are people who I regularly watch on YouTube and adore, their makeup, style and whole personality is just amazing! Let's see how they work..

Relaxing with Bubble T

There is nothing better in the world than relaxing, having a pamper and doing absolutely nothing. After a busy working week, I have dedicated my weekends to doing exactly this and taking time for myself and nobody else. The team at Bubble T recently sent me over things and I have fallen in love with some incredible products, that I just have to share.

Vinopure Purifying Gel Cleanser Review

VINOPURE PURIFYING GEL CLEANSER

Cleansers are one of those skincare products that I am so fussy about! I need something that is going to refesh my skin, make it feel clean but not break me out like crazy. I'm very careful with brands, ingridients and the formula. Caudalie is a brand that I adore and always have, their serums, elixir and even the moisturising sorbet are just some of the products I love. This time my heart has been taken by the Vinopure Purifying Gel Cleanser* (£16).

This gel cleanser is enriched with salicylic acid, grapeseed polyphenols and a blend of different essential oils. The cleanser really does cleanse the skin without leaving it dry or irritated. I have never used a cleanser like this, the texture is a gel but it isn't harsh on the skin. Its gentle and so lovely on my very problematic skin.

Since using this for around a month, every morning and night I have seen a difference in the size of my pores, the amount of sebum that is produced on my skin. Which in turn is reducing the amount of blemishes that are appearing on my skin, which is the biggest win of all. The range also includes a toner, serum and moisturiser which are all on my list to try next!

Revolution Conceal and Hydrate Range on Oily Skin

You might be reading the title and thinking - what on earth is Parie on about?! Well its true, I am test out a hydrating range from Revolution on my very oily skin. It sounds like a skincare nightmare but as my skin starts to turn more dry in the winter, I thought it was time to put something to the test. The Revolution Conceal and Define range is a firm favourite of many. The concealer from the matte range, is a great dupe for the Tarte concealer, which I blogged about early last year. This 50 shade range however is infused with hyaluronic acid to hydrate, provide a plumping effect and create a gorgeous smooth, satin glow finish to the skin.Let's go on shall we...

2 Must Have Eyeshadow Palettes under £10

I'm addicted to ''drugstore'' makeup. There are so many things that attract me to it; the quality, price, accessibility and the wider range of brands that are available. Years ago, there was only a few brands stocked in both Boots and Superdrug but now there is so much choice and variety! I love L'Oreal, Maybelline and for the past couple of years Revolution. They've killed the makeup game and are constantly bringing out products that are incredible. I was very touched when they got in touch to send me a couple of bits and lets just say - they did not disappoint.

Rabot 1745 Body Scrubs

Did you know that Hotel Chocolat don’t only make chocolate? They’ve also got a whole beauty range named after the place where their chocolate story started. Since 1745, the Rabot Estate has been producing cocoa beans and providing employment for the local farmers. But in recent years the  cocoa production has seen a real decline.... and with that the Rabot 1745 story began.
The Rabot Estate plantation in Saint Lucia is now the inspiration for a full range of beauty items, perfumes and diffusers. Some of these products are based around chocolate, but a lot of the range takes inspiration from the tropical location of Rabot and contain ingredients grown on the estate.

Evening Summer Makeup

The weather over the past week has been glorious. As a family, we have been going out a lot more in the evenings after work, as its cool but still a little hot. This makeup look has been my go to, as it is lightweight. Still having golden eyes and skin with a bit of a nude lip. I think its important to seem it simple when the sun is out because you don't want to be clogging up pores and looking extra oily. I've also been loving some new makeup brushes and just had to share them with you before they get really dirty and I forget to clean them....

Must Have Festival Makeup

When June arrives, so does Festival season. In the UK there are a wide range of festivals happening all over the country, some experience bad weather and others get glorious sunshine. Whatever the weather, your makeup of course needs to be prepared and ready for everything! I’ve selected a few favourites that are available to buy through Cosmetify, a website that makes buying beauty products quick and easy. You can browse over 1000 brands and find the best places to buy the products you are wanting/love.

#1 Long lasting Base

It is very important to make sure that your base is long lasting, not too heavy and will last through rain or shine. A primer is always a must for my oily skin, I love anything that is gripping and pore filling. The Milk Hydro Grip is fabulous and helps any foundation applied on top stay like a dream. Then for foundation, I adore the L’Oreal Infallible 24-Hour Fresh Wear. Its so light on the skin and no matter how many layers you apply, it still feels like skin. The coverage is medium – but enough for everyday and special occasion wear. A little bit of powder and you’re face is good to go.

#2 Golden Shimmer

The best thing about summertime is the glow and golden look you can give to the skin, even if you haven’t seen the sun. Bronzer is a must for this exact reason. Applying a little bit near the hairline, cheeks and jawline will not only sculpt the face but give it some colour. I must apply bronzer because foundation makes me so washed out. Then its time for highlighter – the best part of any makeup look. TheBalm Mary Lou Manizer* is perfect for every skin tone and I can’t believe it’s taken me so long to try it out. It’s a shimmer that diffuses the skin and makes it look softer whilst adding a subtle glow.

#3 Pop of Colour

If a festival isn’t the best time to bring out the colours and glitter. If I’m going very heavy on the eye make-up, then I make sure the face is done quite simple and subtle. If you haven’t got a palette for the summer yet, then you need this Technic Summer Glow Palette*. JUST LOOK AT HOW BEAUTIFUL. This pressed pigment palette, features a range of browns, pinks and shimmers to help create a wide range of looks. Each shadow is named after a place in the world. I love the bright colours and for less than £10 it’s a steal. The shadows are pigmented, very easy to blend and look beautiful. For this festival look, I took a mixture of Mauritius and Bora Bora in the crease. Then packed on Antigua and Bahamas all over the lid, to give a sunset type look. I decided it then needed some glitter, so I mixed all 3 from the palette and applied just to the middle of the lid. I am in love with the overall look – it’s so pretttyyyyy!

#4 Glossy Lips and Coral Tips

The lip gloss trend has got me going crazy. Never thought that I would be someone who loves a gloss over a traditional matte lipstick but I’m loving it so much more. I recently discovered the Bobbi Brown Crushed Liquid Lip in Juicy Date* and it’s a hybrid product. The look of a liquid lipstick but feels like a balm that leaves a glossy look. It smells like berries and just glides on to the lips. It is also a great shade and product to keep in your bag when at the festival top up without worrying about not being able to see what you’re doing/when in a hurry. Your fingers and toes are going to be out for a festival so make sure there is some colour on them. Essie’s Resort Romanza* is a stunning summer shade suitable for all skin tones. It’s a coral with more of a red undertone and looks amazing with sandals and lots of jewellery.

#5 As You Go

I think its important to take a bag with only the essentials. Don’t be carrying around things ‘just in case you need them’. Be strict. The essentials are of course; phone, charger, money ect. One essential I can’t anywhere without is Blotting Paper*. It not only helps keep your makeup in check, but it also controls oil, shine but also helps with sweat control.

Festivals are so much fun, as are outdoor concerts which are common now too. If you are going to anything this year or in the future, then I do hope this helps in some way.

Fenty Concealer: BUY OR BYE

I couldn't have timed this post better as Fenty is now available in Boots! Which is so exciting as it will be easier to get a hold of and worth saving those points for. Boots are bringing out some incredible brands at the moment, almost becoming the UK's version of Sephora. No joke, Becca and Too Faced have also launched there! This post is a dedicated review to the concealer that was released quite a while ago but I was late to the party with. I've been using it under my eyes rather than my skin as the colour doesn't quite match me on my face.

Dermalogica Redness Relief Essence Review

I've been loving Dermalogica products for around 2 years now and they have changed my life. Products that have worked magic on my spots, scarring and the overall look and feel of my skin. Couldn't be without them. Their newest product is the Redness Relief Essence, that is like a serum and toner in one. In the k-beauty world, essence plays a big role in the skincare routine.  Its a key part of the 10 step routine and it's about having the right products that do the right things, and using them in the right order. I've tried to use it as often as possible for the past month and this is a round up of my thoughts...

Molton Brown Suede Orris Collection

As I've got older I've become one of those people that needs to use good quality bath and body products. Everything from the packaging, scent and the brand now matters to me more than before which is very odd. Brands such as Molton Brown are one of the best for a splash of luxury and always make me feel really fancy! I've been using their newest launch – the Molton Brown Suede Orris Collection for a couple of weeks now and its safe to say, its worth every penny.
