This Week I'm Loving #1

I love writing monthly favourites, but when it gets to the end of the month and hang to write the posts, I always forget what to include. This is going to be my version of a 'sunday catch up (not on a sunday)/ instagram roundup/ life post' Sometimes it might include just beauty and sometimes it might include a little bit of everything!

Chapter 1 - First Year Finished

life at university

Wow. Ok, I am actually writing this post. Today I finished my first year at university. Say what? This blog is like a diary for my life, not only does it consist of reviews and hauls but it has very deep, life posts too. Just over 9 months ago I posted a blog post called I'm Going to University! , where I spoke all about getting into my dream uni and doing the degree I have always wanted to do. Then I posted all about Freshers Week, where I felt very out of place. I don't drink, so I don't go out partying every night, much more of a staying in kind of person.

University Room Tour

This is my last official week at university and in my accommodation, thought it was about time to do a little room tour and show you around. The first day I moved in I was over the moon with my room. It is the first one on the left as you walk in and a pretty decent size compared to other ones I had seen. My accommodation block has only been up for the year before I moved in, so I was the second person in this room - no pressure to keep it clean then!

Makeup of the Moment #4

Greetings everyone! I thought it was around the time for a new makeup of the moment post, this time featuring a few old favourites and some new pieces too! If you have missed any of my previous ones, then you can catch up here. This months I have been going for a very matte and define look, with a bold lip - usual I know.

L'Oreal Paris Infallible Sculpt Contour Palette Review

Coffee, Contour, Confidence - my life motto. Yeah right! Contouring has become such a phenomenon and still going strong through the beauty world. I have never got into the cream/powder products created for it specially due to them been a bit on the expensive side. As part of L'Oreal's new Infallible range they have launched their own concoction. A Sculpt Contour Palette, that includes a contour shade and a highlighter.

Lavazza Coffee Review

Lavazza Coffee Review

There are several ways to my heart, lipstick, shoes and the slightly cheaper alternative coffee! There is something refreshing about having a cup of coffee in the morning or even during the day to keep me going. The smell of coffee is like no other, you can't beat a cup of good old smelling coffee to wake you up first thing. I was recently sent some Lavazza Coffee to taste and review, let me tell you - this stuff is heavenly.

The AM | PM Routine Tag

The lovely Mollie from ModernMollie tagged me to do the AM| PM routine tag, I haven't taken part in a tag blog post in such a long time, this was the perfect time! So, thank you Mollie for tagging me, she's the cutest person - so check her out!

I am more of a morning person and always have been, up early in the morning ready and showered everyday before everyone else. When it comes to the night time, my head will hit the pillow and I am out. If you like the idea of this tag, please take part and then let me know!

Nails of the Moment #4

This time round when I went to get my nails done, I said to the lovely lady that I wanted something spring/summer like but not to bright. There was a lovely red but I would have to keep it for 6 plus weeks, which is too long to have such a bold colour. I still wanted it on the nude sign, so please welcome 'OPI tickle my france-y'. Its a gorgeous muted pink colour that I have loved wearing.

Eloquence Pure Luxury Collection Review

For the past few weeks, I have been trialing some gorgeous skincare from Eloquence. I am very hesitant about what I try on my skin and have brands that I trust, all because I am acne prone and sensitive. When it comes to Eloquence, I was partly hesitant. They are a brand that invest time in making sure all their products are the best quality and made from all natural ingredients. They have the finest of ingredients in their products, one been Sachi Inchi Oil, a unique blend of Omega 3 to restore the skins elasticity. Omega 6 to fight dehydration and Omega 9 to help with signs of ageing. You can read more about the brand and their vision here.

All of this works together to give you skincare products that your skin likes and contains nothing harsh or unnatural. My skin and the way these products work on it, will be completely different to how it work on your skin - just a caution. This set is a 4 step system but no product has been created for you to use to the t, I like to use 1 and 2 in the morning and then 3 and 4 in the evening.

New from Maybelline

maybelline uk haul

How do I even justify this? I went into Superdrug to purely buy a concealer, I promise. Then, I came across the Maybelline stand and wowza, there was a whole range of new things. I got a little carried away but am super happy I manged to pick everything up before they sell out.

Meat free mango glazed sausage skewers

Meat free mango glazed sausage skewers

I have to admit that despite having been a vegetarian (no meat or fish) for more than ten years I love an easy (lazy) life and usually don’t put too much of an effort in to preparing my meals. However, this recipe for sticky sausage skewers which uses mango chutney as a glaze has been a revelation! If you are hosting any veggies this summer for a BBQ this is a recipe which is bound to go down well, and it’s easy to boot!

Spring Beauty Wishlist

I seem to be in the mood to spend lots of money, some would say this is the way I am all the time. Nonetheless, I haven't bought any new beauty items in a while and its about time I do! My aim is to treat myself in a few weeks time, when I finish my first year of university!

April Favourites

This month has been a stressful one to say the least as is May, as with every month I am always in shock with how fast it is going. Time is of the essence and this months living in the moment goal and helped me a huge deal. The motto is now 'if it doesn't get done today there's always tomorrow'. Here is what I have been loving this past month..
