Hand Luggage Essentials

Your hand luggage always depends on where you are going and for how long, no matter how many people you ask or how many posts you read about what to pack, you will still end up taking the 'non-essentials' and the essentials. This time around for a city break I have been very strict, only packing things what I need and nothing that I am unsure about. Here are those things, split into three categories:

> Staying Hygienic
A must when travelling my plane, train or even car is hand gel this will be your life saver when you have to use the loo or clean your hands after touching something. It comes in various scents but I opted with a plain one and under 100ml. The second thing is wipes these are great for freshening up on the go and to clean any mess, I went with Strawberry Laces scent as the soap version of this smells divine.

> Looking Fresh
After a long journey, the last thing you want to be worrying about is doing your entire face again and looking really glamorous. Because let's be honest, who can honestly be bothered. I am not someone who takes a entire kit full of skincare and makeup on the plane because there isn't any point. Instead I stick to a few essentials, a blemish stick* that is perfect to kill spots on the go, a pocket mirror to keep everything in check, a lip moisturiser to fight dry lips, some form of oil blotting to control your makeup and finally some relaxing treatment to keep you calm - this time I am opting with eye masks.*

> Keeping Sane
Rules and Regulations mean that you can't take certain things with you on flights, with other transports there isn't a problem so fill your bag with drinks, snacks and lots of sweets. But when flying you must always remember the rules, and to avoid any problems I tend to but things after I get through security. Apart from sweets which are must for me when on a plane, plasters in case of an emergency and some medicine for when you don't feel your best.

Three simple categories make packing your hand luggage a lot easier, what are you essentials?

City Break| Makeup Bag

BASE

I have been debating about this for months, what products do i take? something new or something that I am used to? In the end I have settled for the infallible duo because they are two products that I can trust and know that they will stay on me for the long days when we are out and in the evening as well. Also, taking along with me the CC Cream you will be seeing a first impressions in a few weeks, but this will be my second time using it and hoping for the best. Concealer and powder are the same as always because I can trust them and then a lip balm to keep my lips hydrated.

> Collection Concealer // £4.19
> Rimmel Stay Matte Powder // £3.99
Superdrug CC Cream //  £8.99
>Balmi Lip Balm // £4.99

EYES AND FACE

My aim is to take products with me that are mutli purpose, and all of the palettes that you can see above do exactly that. They will be making my life easier and hassle free as it gives me more option without having to take separate things along. See more about the palettes I am taking here, There is a mascara in the On The Run palette but I am also taking along Roller Lash because its the perfect evening out mascara and looks amazing on my lashes, as does the rose gold blush for the evening time and it gives me another option if I get bored of the things in the palette.

> Benefit Roller Lash // £19.50
> On the Run // £37.00
> Eyes Uncovered // £2.99
> Sleek Rose Gold Blush // £4.49
>MR Protection Palette // £6.00

LIPS

The toughest part of them all, having to whittle down my lip product selection to only a few because I don't want to be taking everything with me is very hard. My aim is to take these four only as they provide me with different looks, but knowing me on Thursday right before I fly I will end up putting more in or even buy some at duty free oops. Taking a red lip with me is essential, mainly for the evening and the Maybelline one doesn't budge and is easy to put on in a rush. Then we have a lip gloss and a neutral lip for everyday, both are quick to apply and smell good too. And finally a bright pink colour, perfect for morning and night and the formula of these are amazing, thinking I might just have to take another one because they are just that good!

> Maybelline Colour Drama in Red Essentials // £4.99
> Tanya Burr in Chic // £6.99
> Revlon Lip Butter in Pink Truffle //  £7.99
> Bourjois Rouge Edition in Ping Pong // £8.99

BRUSHES

There isn't a chance that I am able to cut down the brushes I bring with me, I just have to have them all oops. Real Techqiues are my most trusted brand, along with me I am taking;
> Multi Task Brush (Part of the travel collection)
> Setting Brush
> Contour Brush
>Buffer Brush
As well as these I am taking a random blush brush I found one day, my EBAY MAC shadow brushes and the RT Miracle Complexion Sponge which is just AMAZING!

This is what I am taking in my suitcase, pretty simple and basic but everything that I trust and know will make life easier. The things coming with me in my hand luggage are a bit different, but there is a whole post coming on that soon!

Joe Browns Summer Sale Top Picks

Summer is finally upon us and I don’t know about you but my wardrobe is in need of a serious revamp. Joe Browns is a brand that creates a unique range of clothing items that are different from the items you find on the high street. Their BIG Summer Sale has just launched and I thought of sharing a few of my favourite picks from the sale and items YOU NEED in your wardrobe this summer.

1. Chill Out Trousers WAS £29.95 NOW £19.95

I have been on the hunt for a pair of printed trousers for a few months now and the hunt has officially ended today. These trousers are perfect, the colour is bright which is perfect for the summer and the pattern on the trousers is also very simple which makes me feel more comfortable to wear them.

2. Lacey Daisy Vest Top WAS £34.95 NOW £21.95

As soon as I saw this top my first thought was summer. Lace and daisies are the perfect combination for the summer time, and this vest top is great to wear with the trousers I mentioned above, jeans as well as a skirt. It can also be dressed up and down to suit you.

3. Tropical Jersey Dress WAS £29.95 NOW £17.95

This is one of those dresses that you can just throw on with a pair of sandals and your good to go. Perfect for those lazy days at home as well as for the days you go to the beach and want to just relax.

4. Polka Dot Skirted Swimsuit WAS £39.95 NOW £27.95

Isn’t this just the sweetest thing ever? It’s a swimsuit but with a skirt at the bottom giving you another layer and in my opinion make you feel more comfortable wearing a swimsuit. The print is also really pretty.

5. Floral Mac WAS £49.95 NOW £29.95

I live in England after all and summer isn’t summer without the rain, but instead of a coat something much lighter yet protective is the best option. This floral mac is absolutely stunning and I would wear it even if it wasn’t raining because I love the print.

6. Funky bow court shoes WAS £29.95 NOW £19.95

No Wishlist is complete without a pair of amazing shoes! This pair is quirky and fun, and very not me but this summer I want to take more risks and wear things which are bright and stand out similar to the trousers. The heel also isn't that big, making it wearable for everyone.

There you have it, my top picks from the Joe Browns Summer Sale! Is there anything that you have got your eye one?

Pre-Holiday Pamper

Before I have big event or I am going away I like to de-stress, calm down and pamper myself. Sometimes it is as simple as putting a face mask on and sometimes it is the full works and I mean why not - sometimes you need it!

The first step in my pamper routine is to get rid of all the makeup and let my skin breathe. I am one to swear by micellar water and wipes, until I discovered the Bliss Fabulous Makeup Melt*(£24) the other day. I'm still getting used to using the whole concept of a gel to oil cleanser but all it is a gel cleanser that turns into an oil once massaged into your skin to remove makeup and impurities. The cleanser is full of seven different essential oils (here is a quick low down):
  • Tamanu Oil: antibacterial and anti-inflammatory
  • Abyssinica Seed Oil: nourishing
  • Mirabelle Plum Seed Oil: conditions and softens skin.
  • Olive Oil: full of antioxidants
  • Orange, Sage, and Lavender Oils: calming, soothing, and relaxing
  • Milk Thistle (silybum marianum ester): transforms the oils into a fluid that cleans the skin

After my face has been cleansed, cleaned and nourished it is time to focus on the under eye circles, mine are awful and with a 2 hour flight this week I need to look good and not blame the jet lag. The classic cucumber trick works but having to sit there is a pain, now I am a convert to the Bliss triple oxygen instant energizing eye masks *(£40.00). These little packs a genius, there are four in the pack and the size makes them perfect for travelling with as well and ideal to pop on whilst on the plane. You soak the pads with the vitamin water in the smaller section of the packet and then place them under your eyes for 15 minutes. Enough time to paint my nails and put on a face mask to help my skin.
Painting my nails is a must, otherwise it isn't a pamper session. My toes have recently just come out of hibernation, they still look a mess and to cover that up I am sticking with bright, bold colours such as Maybelline's Pink Volt (£4.49) which is absolutely gorgeous and the perfect summer colour. Then sticking with something a little more neutral on my hands is Nail Inc Uptown (£14.00) a colour that makes your fingers look neat, tidy and a lot more elongated. The formula of both these are amazing and very long lasting.

After all this, it is  time to apply some heel genius on both my hands and feet, remove my mask and eye patches and sleep. The best kind of spa treatment there is.

Do you have a pre-holiday pamper routine?

25 Things Herbal Tea Can Do For You

There’s nothing like a good cup of tea to jump start your day, pick you up on a sleepy afternoon or even help you wind down in the evening. This age old drink is one that many enjoy not just for its taste, but for health benefits as well. As many people know, drinking herbal teas is an excellent way to keep the body in tip top shape.
Unlike your normal tea, these are made from infusions of seeds, roots, leaves, or bark of herbal plants, as the name implies. These caffeine-free drinks not only satisfy the palate but do wonders for the body as well. Simply adding a few drops of edible CBD oil from a tincture to your favorite tea could be a great way to boost your health - accordingly, you can learn more about how to take tincture based CBD in your tea by doing some research online. For now though, if you haven’t included tea in your daily diet, there are plenty of good reasons that you should and if you are ever stuck then here are some of my top tips...
1.        Boost the Immune System- Green tea is known to keep the system away from illness, but many different herbs can do the same. Rosehip, ginseng and dandelion are just some teas which can work to keep the body’s immunity up.
2.       Detoxify- Have you been feeling sluggish and tired? Flushing out the toxins from your system can help. Herbal teas such as rooibos can promote liver and gall bladder functions to facilitate waste removal from the body.
3.       Calm and Relax- If you need to unwind after a long day, or you just feel the need to slow down grab a cup of tea with chamomile. This has been proven to relax blood vessels and muscle fibers.
4.       Improve Concentration- Having trouble focusing on your tasks at hand? A dose of peppermint will help increase dopamine levels in the system, improving alertness and concentration. Citrus can also help perk you up and clear the mind.
5.       Relieve Anxiety- Stress is a part of daily life, but when it builds up it can cause anxiety. Calm your nerves with some lavender which has been proven to work against General Anxiety Disorder. Lemon balm has also been proven to lower stress levels.
6.       Reduce Inflammation-   Swelling of tissues in the body can happen anytime due to various reasons. Regardless of where your inflammation occurs, regular intake of tart cherries can help keep it at bay according to Health Impact News. The best part is that these taste delicious as tea.
7.       Aromatherapy- No need to buy essential oils or incense sticks. Each time you steep some herbal tea you also get the benefit of smelling it. A whiff of these herbal ingredients can help improve brain and body functions.
8.       Ease Nausea- Whether you’re queasy from motion sickness, morning sickness or an upset stomach, ginger tea will work for you. It helps with secretion of digestive juice to soothe stomach acids and relax digestive muscles.
9.       Anti-aging Properties- Contrary to popular belief, green tea isn’t the only drink that contains large amounts of anti-oxidants. Herbal brews made with blueberries and pomegranate can do the same for you being packed with polyphenols and flavonoids.
10.   Skin Care- Skin care can go beyond what’s on the outside. Regular intake of herbal teas can help care for the skin from within by stopping oxidative stress in the cells and promoting regeneration. Aside from the usual antioxidant blends, try something with apples.
11.   Better Sleep- Whether you suffer from insomnia or just want a more restful sleep, reach for some lavender, chamomile or lemon balm based tea. These calm and relax the body which can help you sleep better.
12.   Fight Obesity- Aside from exercising and eating right, drinking raspberry tea can help keep weight under control. According to studies, these berries contain phytonutrients which increase metabolism in fat cells. It also helps with preventing fatty liver. Tea Forte offers a delicious raspberry and hibiscus blend that can be enjoyed hot or cold.
13.   Lower Blood Pressure- Increased blood pressure has been linked to a number of health risks including stroke, cardio vascular disease and even death. Hibiscus based teas can help reduce the risk for these by naturally lowering blood pressure.
14.   Fight Colds- Feeling a little bit under the weather? There are various herbal teas that can help cure the sniffles. Lemon, fennel and cinnamon are some good choices when it comes to dealing with colds.
15.   Alleviate Indigestion- If you’ve had a bit too much to eat, or your last meal isn’t sitting well in your stomach, a herbal brew can help you feel better. Teas are generally known to help with digestion. Lemon grass in particular is good for dealing with gas and bloating.
16.   Uplift Spirits- As mentioned earlier, lots of different herbs can calm the mind and body. People suffering from the blues or mild depression can take advantage of this. Blends containing vervain have long been used by herbalists to help improve moods.
17.   Get Rid of Phlegm- Cough and other respiratory illnesses that stem from the buildup of phlegm can be eased with herbs as well. Licorice in particular works as an expectorant and is good for easing cough as mentioned on Live Strong
18.   Cleanse- Teas are natural diuretics that can help the body with cleansing. Those made from cranberry, peppermint and ginger are particularly good for fighting urinary tract infections.
19.   Increase Milk Supply- Breastfeeding mamas will certainly enjoy the benefits of a fennel based tea. Studies show that this can be used to increase milk supply and aid in lactation.
20.   Ease Headaches- Health conditions, stress and the daily grind can all cause headaches every now and then. The next time that you feel one coming on, reach for a cup of herbal tea. Good choices for alleviating headaches include peppermint, basil and lavender.
21.   Control Anemia- Lack of sleep and low iron levels are common culprits for anemia. Certain herbal teas contain high levels of iron that can help combat this illness. Apricot and red raspberry leaf teas, as well as those with nettle are excellent choices.
22.   Keep Eyes Healthy- As people age it is normal for eyesight to weaken as well. Drinking herbal tea made with apricots can help prevent this thanks to high beta carotene content. Another option is plum tea which is known to slow down macular degeneration.
23.   Provide Nutritional Supplements- Aside from the many benefits of herbal teas, these are also a good source of essential nutrients. Vitamin C, calcium, iron, magnesium, zinc, potassium and sodium are just some examples of vitamins and minerals found in herbal teas.
24.   Increase Energy Levels- Coffee isn’t the only way to get an energy boost during the day. Peppermint tea can help pick you up without the use of caffeine.
25.   Strengthen Teeth and Bones- Milk isn’t the only way to provide your body with more calcium. Many different herbal teas contain high amounts of calcium including peach, cinnamon, peppermint and rooibos.
Aside from these 25 benefits, there are many other advantages that come with drinking herbal tea regularly. To better enjoy these healthy brews, look for something that comes with a unique blend.

Author Bio: Health buff and tea expert, Regina enjoys sharing her knowledge on the subject to others during her free time. Find more information about the various tea blends she mentioned at Tea Forte.

Australian Bodycare's Blemish Stick Review

The Australian Bodycare's Blemish Stick is the ideal treatment to get rid of those nasty spots that appear right before you have to go somewhere or do something. I had a pesky one on my nose that just had to go before I go away this week and after applying this tea tea roller ball on to the area twice a day for the past three days, it's gone! It went away quickly and the ease of a roller ball rather than a cream or treatment makes life a lot easier.

The main ingredient in the blemish stick is tea tree oil, and it really is the star of the show. It fights off any bacteria that causes spots on your face and it is a natural oil that won't harm or burn your skin in any way. The blemish stick is only 9ml making it perfect to carry around with you in your hand luggage when you go on holiday and also keeping it with you on a day to basis in case of an emergency. The clear liquid means you can apply on top of your makeup, it doesn't show up and kills off your spots at the same time.

I seem to have never discovered the amazing benefits of  tea tree oil and this little wonder is great for treating spots as soon as they appear and it will definitely be coming with me on holiday!

It retails at  £5.99 and you can find it at

The Travelling Outfit

This week I go on my holiday and I can't wait! A lot needs to be done within the next few days but one thing I have got sorted is my 'travelling outfit'. I don't know about you, but I love planning outfits out and one of the ones I love planning is my journey home. I like to show off  that I have been away, and that the sun was wonderful. I'm weird ok

The outfit I will be wearing is my new jumpsuit from Asda (found in store), after searching everywhere for one I finally managed to find one and for a bargain of £8 down from £16! It was love at first sight, not too revealing, a nice and bold pattern as well as a string to tie near the base which helps keep my waist in check. The zip on the front just finishes off for me, and it a low v-neck which was the thing that drew me towards it, as others are more scooped neck. My shoes are still a problem, probably decide when I get there.

With a patterned jumpsuit, I want to keep everything else pretty simple seen as though I will have to tag along my luggage. So in the simple theme, I will be wearing my Ethiopian opal and white topaz ring* from Gemporia at £24. I have only recently become a fan of dainty rings, and this one I can't stop wearing. The finish of it is beautiful, and Opal is something I would never think of buying but something about the size, and finish is just stunning. The white topaz detailing on the sides adds something different and brings together the ring as a whole. You can find a whole range of rings from Gemporia, each one is crafted for you and at reasonable prices so you can afford to treat yourself. Also, if you don't know your ring size like me then use their app/print out to find out - genius!

I love how simple yet chic this outfit is, and feel so summery just thinking about it! What is your go to travelling outfit?

Palettes Perfect for Travelling

T-Minus 8 Days until I am on a plane out of this country and into sunny Germany! Packing makeup is one thing I find really frustrating because I never know how much to pack, or even what?! It usually ends up me having way more lipsticks than items all together, but that's why I am called a lip product addict right? One thing that I do have sussed out this year for travelling abroad is that palettes are a girl's best friend, they make it easier to take more things with you and take us less/sometimes more room.

Protection Palette  This was a no brainer to put into my travel bag, the protection palette is the number one product for touch ups and on the go. This will be the one i keep in my hand luggage, mainly because of the big mirror and with me along on the trip so that I can keep tabs on my sweaty face. The bronze, highlighter and blush is also a combo that is suited to my skin tone, meaning I don't have to take these things separately.

Collection Eyes Uncovered - This is a pretty new addition to the eye shadow family, but since Amelia Liana raved about the amazingness that is this cute little palette I just had to try it and at the size of my palm it is perfect for travelling! The options in this selection allow you to do day and night looks, even though the brush is bad, it saves me taking lots of blending brushes with me. They are also super pretty, meaning they will last me for a long time.

Urban Decay Naked 1 - I have been debating a lot whether or not to take this with me, but the Naked palette is one of the most versatile palettes out there. It allows you to create a whole book of looks, from a one shadow sweep for everyday to a smokey eye for the night time. I also know that they last a long time so on the longer days/nights it will last.

Urban Decay On the Run - Truthfully, I only wanted this back at Christmas for the purpose of this trip. I have used it before but now it is going to get its full use!!! The eye shadows, bronzer and blush give me more options for a day to basis and it includes a lip gloss, eyeliner and mascara making it even easier to use when I am away.

What are your go to travel palettes???

Help: Clear Skin Review

It is no surprise to regular readers of c&g that i suffer from acne, and it is a real pain. I have documented all the different products I have ever tried and today's post brings you another product. Let me introduce to you the help:clear skin a formula that has been proven to be rich in lactoferrin. Lactoferrin (very fancy) is something that helps to reduce the development of the bacteria that is mainly responsible skin impurities.

I was kindly gifted the 28 day pack from the brand to test out and see how it works ,I finished my 28 days yesterday and in this post will be sharing my experience, thoughts and more about the product. In the box you get little sachets that you can take daily, you just mix the powder into a drink or some food, i went with water each time, stir until dissolved and then drink/eat.

The big question, how did it work out? Well, it definitely got rid of the acne along my T Zone aka the problem are. The painful, under the skin pimples that I get all the time didn't seem to appear as much and also didn't hurt as much. Taste? Nothing, it dissolves into the water and then you honestly taste nothing! The only thing I recommended is that you take it with hot water/hot drinks not cold because it can be really difficult to mix well- like i experienced the first time around.  I have absolutely loved the results from using this 'supplement' and if you are fed up of applying topical application to help with your spots, then I highly suggest trying this as an alternative.

Buy your 28 day pack at £39.95 here

The other thing that I kindly got send was the help:beautify skin which is a really nice apple flavoured jelly supplement that doesn't need mixing anything with anything, you just have it in one go. The amazing apple tasting jelly is filled full of natural ingredients that have been proven to deliever anti-ageing benefits. There is alot lot of vitamins and goodness inside that benefits different areas of your skin, I was taking this every other day along with the powder and haven't experienced any side effects - touch wood.

Buy the 14 day supply here

Overall, I have been really impressed with both of these products and if you are looking for something new to try then you should look on the website and view what works best for you.

Which Hairbrush Materials Prevent Breakage?

Today I have a guest post By Jennifer McCarrick of Capillus, all about the hairbrush materials that prevent any breakage in your hair. Enjoy!

Summertime means humidity, and for curly, thick or unruly hair, high temperatures usually lead to frizz. Believe it or not, your finishing gel isn’t the only cure for split ends and pouf. In fact, your styling tools might be a major contributor toward frizzled hair that’s all too present during the hotter months.

To combat frizz, stick with the following hairbrush materials.

Boar
Boar bristles come from hogs and are perfect for sealing the cuticle layer of your hair. These natural, flexible bristles are excellent at creating a sheen finish on all hair types. Boar bristles are extremely flexible and can’t withstand styling alone, so manufacturers often mix them with nylon materials for a stronger hold. Even though they aren’t 100 percent boar hair, mixed brushes still manage to create shiny hair and are strong enough to use while styling.

Nylon
Most generic hairbrushes are made from nylon. They are engineered to be soft and pliable or alternatively, very firm and stiff. If you suffer from unruly hair, nylon brushes are the best at providing control while blow-drying. Nylon brushes vary, so opt for a tight bristle for better hold. The looser spaced bristles aren’t as good at detangling curly and knotted locks.

Porcupine
Porcupine brushes aren’t actually made of porcupines. The term is derived from the pattern in which porcupine brushes are made, also known as the tufted bristle. These brushes are usually made of both boar and nylon bristles, and the pattern is best for detangling and styling fine hairs.

Metal
Metal bristles are extremely rigid and shouldn’t be used on real hair. But, if you’re suffering from hair loss and using a laser hair therapy product, you might be wearing a wig to cover balding. Metal bristles are best used for hairpieces because they are strong enough to detangle false strands. Be sure to opt for plastic tips as to avoid damaging your wig or hairpiece.

Aside from brush materials, you might be wondering about the best shape of brush for your needs. There are four main types of hairbrush heads: round, vented, styling, and cushioned. Vented brushes feature wide, flexible bristles – best used for blow-drying since they allow airflow to pass through. For a basic brush, consider cushioned, which is the type most commonly used in paddle brushes. Round brushes are good for curling, but require a strong hand since they are more difficult to maneuver. Finally, classic styling brushes have a half-rounded head with around seven rows of bristles. These are best used for traditional blowouts.

Thank you Jennifer for the lovely post! If you would like to guest post please email me on pariejoshi@hotmail.co.uk

WOW. That was a long list and half way through I nearly gave up, but carried on after taking inspiration from the internet. I think writing it up is a great way of keeping a track of my goals, and every time I achieve something it will be crossed out.

Why not create yourself a list of 101 things to do in 1001 days! I TAG YOU ALL.

The £4 Charlotte Tilbury Dupe from W7

I've always regarded W7 as a 'cheap' brand, they can't be found in many places and a lot of their things appeal to much younger audiences then myself. Until recently, when I had a good look and realised that in fact some of the things they have are absolute gems! A lot of their products are dupes for the higher end things, such as the In the Mood Palettes is a dupe of the UD Basics, Honolulu is a dupe for Benefit's Hoola.

This dupe from W7 is a Charlotte Tilbury one, on the more luxurious side of the brands their items are similar to. Let me introduce to you W7 Hollywood Bronze & Glow at only £3.99 you can achieve the same/exact look that I am guessing the Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow gives you at £49.00. I don't own the higher end version, nor do I think I ever will but just by looking at pictures of it and putting them next to the W7 item I am pretty sure it is the exact same.

If I had the actual product at hand, this comparison would be a lot easier but I don't think you need the physical product, just by looking at pictures and other people's reviews you can tell the difference. The biggest one is the price, W7's version is more than half the price of the CT one which is insane! Then we have the packaging, W7 have there's in a plastic cover, with a see through lid and a small mirror inside on the top, whereas the CT one is a lot more bulkier just looking at it, it has a big mirror on the inside, rose gold detailed and her signature logo on the front.
That's all the comparing, now onto the actual product. It's a highlighting and contouring palette in one and is a beauty to take away with you as it really isn't that heavy/bulky. I am in shock at how much I like this product, the bronzer is stunning and gives you a lovely glow to the skin with its warm undertones - very natural. Then the highlighter is just something completely different, not the biggest fan of them but this one works nicely with the bronzer and you don't really need anything else on your cheeks. Neither products are highly pigmented but that is expected with the price, they are perfect to build up and give you a heavier look

Now, even thought I don't own the CT version, I can tell you that no way can something compare to anything that is a high end product just because of the things that go into to make it 'high end' .But I still love this from W7 and it is perfect if you are on a tighter budget like me!

There is all sorts that W7 Offer, and everything can be find on Xtra's.  Have you ever tried anything from the brand?

Teeth Whitening Strips - Do They Work?

I have talked about teeth whitening quite a lot on this blog, because I love making my teeth look nice and a smile is the best accessory for anybody. Whitening toothpastes are amazing and there are a lot of them out there, but more recently the new trend is whitening strips - you apply before you are about to go somewhere for instant white teeth.

The strips I am telling you about today are from Doll White*, the main concept around them is that you apply the small strips (top and bottom), which has been coated with a gel on to your teeth and leave them on for 30 minutes. After half an hour you should be left with whither and brighter teeth, the more you use them the more you will see a difference.

The big question, do they work? Also, how do they feel?

Well, in my household three of us used them. Dad, brother and myself for this review the pictures are only of my teeth but the two of them used the strips as well and their thoughts are also included with mine as they were pretty much similar.

When you first apply and press the strips onto your teeth it feels really weird, the texture of the strips are odd because you aren't used to having something stuck on top of your teeth. It is also hard at first to talk correctly, a lot of saliva builds up and it can be hard to control. My dad was having a lot of problems trying to talk with the strips in, he had to spit a few times and coughed a lot but after a bit he was fine.

After the 30 minutes are up, all you have to do is remove and dispose of the strips and rinse. You should be left with a coating on your teeth and a whiter smile. Did I notice a big difference? Not a first, it was very hard to see whether my teeth had actually gotten whiter or if it was just the light. When you look at someone else's teeth it is a lot easier to see the big difference.
Top - BEFORE
Bottom - AFTER

I haven't edited the pictures or anything, just cropped out my double chin!
Using it once was great and for a few hours I loved the way my teeth looked, but I don't think you can get the best benefits from Doll White unless you use it regularly and personally I don't have time to wait around for my teeth to 'set' and would rather just use them on special occasions. So, yes they do work for a one off but if you want really white teeth use them everyday.
