Christmas is over and the streamers from the New Year’s party are all in the bin. You’re packing away the decorations and getting ready to go back to work. With the highlights of the winter’s calendar done and dusted, and many more weeks of cold days and dark nights to endure, it can be all too easy to start feeling a little gloomy at this time of year.

But you don’t have to let the ‘January blues’ spoil the start of your new year. With a bit of forward planning and creative thinking, you can turn your frown upside down and start feeling more like yourself again.

Over a countless number of times I have raved about how much I love Statement Necklaces and even written a post on how to wear them. Currently, they are my number one accessory to wear with any outfit and are perfect for dressing up an outfit for being too boring, or making a evening dress even fancier. I have a lot, but this necklace* has to be my favourite of them all.

As you can see, there is four different things inside the parcel...below I am going to talk through each one there is one 'for you, two for later and then a little handbag hero'.
How it Works?
Its super simple and easy to navigate around the site, all you do is tell them you're favourite brand - choice between the famous ones! Then you select you're dates, now if you're like me and very irregular then it's not to worry as you can change and edit you're dates. You'll then get the parcel 3-5 days before getting you prepared and ready!

The 'For Later' and little 'For Now' parcels include tampons. There is enough in here to last you, you're entire period from start to finish depending on how long you're periods last for. I love the idea of the little bag it's great for keeping with you at school/when you're out and even at work. The boxes are also great to keep in you're room as they don't look as obvious as wrapping you get in the shop and can be hidden away from someone's eyes. To find out more about how the box works then click here to find out more!

How to Survive the Christmas Sales - Looking Fashionable!

Let's be serious now - there is officially 8 Days until Christmas. Well, it really depends on when you're reading this! You could be reading it the day before the big day, the day after, or even after Christmas -THE FUTURE! I love Christmas Day, everything that comes with it and the fun on the day but the real thing I love is the sales on Boxing Day. Yes, I am one of those lunatics who wakes up a little early in the morning and goes to the Next Sales along with many other shops in Leeds. But it is actually a lot of fun and if you do it once trust me you'll love it!
In today's post I am going to be telling you the best tips and tricks on how to survive the sales, I guess these will work for either the Christmas sales, summer sales or any sales! I guess you could say I have some experience but you learn from you're mistakes sooo...

Think like an insider
Not all boxing day sales happen in store, some happen online as well.  Sign up to as many mailing lists you can before so you are well aware of all the sales they are going to be having. The best ones to sign up to are Asos, and if you want to know all of them then SalesGossip is your number one friend because they email you regularly about all the sales available! If you get worried about these emails clogging up the inbox after then don't worry there is always a handy unsubscribe bit underneath.

Plan, Plan more and plan even more
What I really mean is that don't go to the sales without knowing what you are kind of wanting. Make a little mental note of want you are wanting to pick up and it will help you find everything you want when you go in to a store. I even recommend planning as detailed as the way you get to the sales, driving can be a little bit tedious and well no one wants to walk, do they? So, I would highly recommend taking the train why?
- You don't have to worry about paying for parking you just pay for you're ticket, and trains are every so often so no rush
- You can take all your bags on with you afterwards and gossip about what you have
- When you get on in the morning you can plan what you are going to be buying making life easier
- book your tickets in advance to avoid disappointment, TransPennine Express are always offering deals to locations within their train line.
- They will also keep you updated with any issues that might affect the train you are going on, and they also have a whole page dedicated to Christmas as there will be disruptions during the festive period - THAT IS WHY IT IS IMPORTANT TO PLAN. Find out more about the disruptions
How to Survive the Christmas Sales

Double Trouble
This is one I always forget about, when ever you see something that you really want to buy and start debating over it the best thing to ask yourself is 'if i double the price then will i still pay that same price'. This question is a stealer and buying something just because it is cheap can get us a little bit carried away, and then it stays in the back of the wardrobe till the following year and you have a 'oh i forgot about this' moment. Seriously though, would you pay the original price for something even if it is only a few pounds off!

3 Outfits or no Outfit
There is a simple little saying that we should all live by, and that is 'will i be able to wear it with 3 or more outfits, that i already own' This rule kind of goes with any kind of fashion shopping, so no matter how amazing a leather jacket looks like with a fur rim can you really wear it with anything else in you're wardrobe?

Wear Comfy
Its no lie that in instore sales, people do really push and shove around the store floor to get what they want - some people are brutal. Wear clothes that make you feel comfortable. It will also be a bonus when you go to the changing rooms as it will be really easy to pull on and off the outfit you are wearing.  Below are some ideas of outfits that I have tried to be comfy in - I forgot to take pictures of shoes!

Clothes Show Live 2014| Press Pass Experience+Haul

PICTURE HEAVY WARNING.

Clothes Show Live 2014

It's that time of year again CLOTHE SHOW TIME! If you want to see my posts from last year then click here and have a read! This year was a little bit different to the other two years that I have been because I was very lucky to be going as a member of press! Yes, tiny little blog on the internet was very kindly accepted for a press pass and I LOVED IT! In this post I will be posting a lot of photos so please be warned, as well as showing you what i bought along with my experience of being pass - i had no idea what to expect from it and maybe I can answer some questions you might have!

THE PRESS PASS EXPERIENCE
Clothes Show Live 2014

Being part of press sounds all very exciting and fancy and it really is! On arrival you get escorted by security to the lounge where you have access to Wi-Fi, plugs, press materials from stall holders as well as refreshments which for me was the best bit by far. You also get you're own little pass with you're name and the publication on which essentially gives you a chance to view the fashion row from the front of the stage! Yes, I was inches away from beautiful models in stunning clothes (see pictures below) and you get to sit on the first two rows and i was sat two seats away from Proudlock (made in chelsea) but stupid security wouldn't let me have a picture! After seeing the show you walk around the stalls as causal and have a jolly time!

HAUL

BarryM - A must have every year this year filled with even more goodies! In total I got 6 polishes which is crazy! Was kind of hoping for a Gelly in there but never mind the other ones are amazing! There is also a lip crayon, eye-liner, lip gloss, dazzle dust and a brow kit inside, All comes with a cute makeup bag perfect for travelling!

Ciaté - This one I was very EXCITED about! For only £10 you got a neon set which is perfect for the summer so look out for that, a little bag that contains three mini polishes along with glitter! And then a choice between either a pastel doll house or a beach house - i went with beach house because summer is going to be perfect for it! I was so shocked that this was in the bag as I have always wanted one and my dreams came true!

Diet Coke were also there doing their bit as usual! You got the chance to design a bottle with various stickers and ribbons and then enter a competition to win ASOS vouchers! It even came with tissue and a bag which is the real reason I made my mum que up with me!

Another two that were there again this year...
Cosmo - Came with a magazine, lots of samples including salt spray and a Little Miracles Drink
So Susan/Jelly Pong Pong - This is the cheapest goody bag available on the day at only £5 you get a load of goodies that will soon appear on my blog especially that blush you can see - it is stunning!

That's it for this year, I had such an amazing day and felt so proud of myself for not spending lots and picking up some presents along with having amazing seats for the show! Did you go this year? Or will you be going next year?

Jack Frost Bouquet from FloricJack Frost Bouquet from Floric

Who said that flowers aren't for the winter time? I think that having a beautiful bouquet of flowers all year round really opens up a room and makes it seem like a brighter, happier and a more fun place to be! In winter though, I don't think that we should have neon coloured flowers in December, I mean seriously? But the wintery colours are acceptable - I'm talking reds, whites and those frosty ones! Basically, I am talking about this Jack Frost Bouquet* the perfect winter flower arrangement that is perfect in your living room near your christmas decorations!

The Jack Frost Bouquet is by far my favourite! Filled with Chrysanthemums, Roses, Eucalyptus, Eryngium and glittered Gypsophila they all add a little Christmas sparkle. It feels amazing to know that the florists at Floric have carefully picked out the flowers for this arrangement and have trimmed, and placed them in such a beautiful way to then come to my doorstep. It is the perfect treat for any one and especially at this time of year! Be sure to check FLORIC out and buy someone special a beautiful flower arrangement this Christmas.

*these flowers were sent to me for review purposes, but as always opinions are my own*

Faith in Nature Aloe Vera Shampoo+Conditioner| Review

Faith in Nature Aloe Vera

I love washing my hair even if it does take up a lot of time, I like standing in the shower as well as my hair feeling clean and fresh! Since becoming a blogger I have become a lot more aware of the nasty things that are put in products but didn't realise just how many of them are in hair products!

I was recently contacted by the lovely people at Faith in Nature to review their shampoo* and conditioner range and I immediately jumped at trying out the Aloe Vera range because I am obsessed with the smell and the plant in general. They are a brand that are all natural, they don't use anything horrible in their products and offer body care as well as hair care, so maybe take a sneaky peek at their website to discover more.
Faith in Nature Aloe Vera

The bottles are 400 ml each and retail at £5.35 each which is a whopper of a bargain for the amount you are getting. The packaging isn't very out there but should that really matter if the product inside is amazing? I've been using the two of these* combined for over a week and a half now so that's around 6 times in total and lemme break it down..
Smell - The smell of a hair product is the most important to anyone I think, you're hair has to smell nice. This set of products have a citrus smell to it, very lemon like but not too strong that it burns you're nose when you smell it.
Texture - At first the shampoo was really runny and watery but after a good shake it was a little better and lathered into a soapy shampoo that filled my hair with freshness. Following up with the texture much more thicker in texture, I used it on my ends and my hair felt/feels so soft! I love the feeling of it, sometimes conditioner can feel really oily and I hate it but this is different.
Afterwards - After drying my hair I was left with volume, and my hair feeling super soft it was as though it has stripped it of everything bad and left a lot of good it in!

My mum who has thick, curly hair also tried both the shampoo and conditioner and she has fallen in love with them! She loves the smell of them on her hair afterwards and the way it feels in her hair and she is a lover of thick conditioners as they do the job well!

If you want to look at the full range of products faith in nature have to offer, check them out and let me know if you fancy any of their shampoo scents they have chocolate, pineapple and grapefruit!

*items in this post were gifted to me, but opinions are my own*

Festive Nails #1 - BarryM Raspberry

BarryM Raspberry

Its the first of December, EEEEPPP!! This month you will see a whole range of festive posts, and every monday for the whole month I will be posting different 'Festive Nails'. I did this last year as well, feel free to check them out here hope you enjoy and hopefully I can remember to post every Monday! Today I am bringing you one of the polishes I have had for a while but haven't used before! This is BarryM's Rapsberry with Rose Gold Glitter on top and is the most beautiful combination I have ever seen, the colours work so well together and I wish that this polish was in gelly formula because it doesn't last as long! But never mind, still love it and have worn it for the the past week on my toes and fingers!
