Home Sweet Home Restaurant || Manchester ♥

During the half term the family and I popped up to Manchester to have a day out, and after a long day of shopping and getting drenched in the rain we were hungry monsters! It was one of those days where we just wanted to eat something warm, hearty and delicious! When I was doing some research on where we could go and eat that night as vegetarians I stumbled across Home Sweet Home that is located right in the centre of the city and when reading the menu online I was dying to try it out and I am so glad we did!
As we entered this american diner/ western restaurant it was packed and looked like we would have to wait for a while to be seated, but that was not the case! We walked and got directed to the back where there was a cute little corner table waiting for us and when I took my seat I knew I was in heaven.
The atmosphere in the restaurant was amazing, and there is something on the menu for everyone, as veggies we all really enjoyed it as there was so much to choose from! Not only were the mains sounds good..but the drinks where amazing! I ordered the Nutella Milkshake that was topped with roasted marshmallows and was truly heavenly! I just had to take a picture to share with you all, and then for mains I had there halloumi cheese and falafel wrap with sweet potato fries on the side - this was amazing. Every bit was so tasty and I felt like I was eating my life away.
If you ever happen to pop into Manchester, then I could not recommend this restaurant to you all more the food, service and just everything was amazing! Here are a few pictures to melt your heart and you will be very jealous of me!

Starting Off; Makeup Tools ♥

makeup brushes for beginnings
No way is this the last ever week of #TheSoProject!! I can't honestly believe that 10 weeks have gone so quickly, and that since first signing up to do this project my knowledge has grown so much more! For the final ever time, I will be taking to you about how to apply your make up.. there are so many different ways to apply it that you are spoilt for choice on what to pick and when and how!

makeup brushes for beginnings
First of all is the most common one which is brushes! There are so many brands out there that you could choose from and use, but my favourite has to be Real Techniques because there is something for everyone for such a great price. It would be something I would add to your wish list because they are amazing! In the below picture you can see two gold brushes, these aren't actually RT they are 'dupes' I bought this on Ebay for £3 each or you can but the whole set for £12. Just like the real ones they work perfectly! The on the left is mainly for foundation and is great for all different types! It also helps create a flawless finish on your face.. the one on the right which is pointed can be used for either blush or bronzer as it is tapered.
The one in the pink is from the actual RT travel collection and is the multi-task brush, you are able to use this one for everything - foundation, powder, bronzer and blusher. Just like the dupe ones it works perfectly on your face and picks up just the right amount of product!
To read a full review and where to buy the gold ones check it out here.
Find out about the pink one and where you can buy them for slightly less money click here

The next thing you could use is make-up sponges that are now available to buy anywhere! These are great used damp with foundation and again give you that flawless airbrushed look to your whole look. For such a great price you can achieve such a lovely look and they come in all different shapes and sizes so you are able to find the one that is the best for you to use.

As well as using brushes and sponges for your face you need tools for your eyes to make them look amazing as well. The two black brushes in this picture are from a make up brush set I actually bought it in a set for Morrisons and haven't stopped using them since! The one at the top is a eye shadow brush which is flat so it makes it easier to really pack on that eye shadow and really bring out the vibrant colours that you want to show off. The other is a eye smudge brush that I love using to mix together colours on the eye and use it more on the crease line so that there aren't any harsh lines that make it look a little like a dolls make up. One of the best tools ever invented has to be the eye lash curler, this one from Primark is my favourite. Why? Well, it was not only cheap but also great at curling your eyelashes before you apply that lovely mascara to give you even longer looking lashes!
TIP - heat your curler for a little while with a hair dryer to make it easier to curl them lashes!

Thank you for being with me for the past 10 weeks and I hope that you have all enjoyed these posts, and if you want to go back and read the rest then click here to find them all together!

Favourite Yankee Candles for Autumn/Winter ♥

I have a serious obsession with candles, not just at the moment but all the time. After a cheeky few purchases I thought I would share with you my favourite ones for the up and coming seasons, there are two sweet scents that you class summery but I love them for autumn!

Favourite Yankee Candles for Autumn/Winter

First up we have two sweet scents that I love burning in the autumn as I think that they are great for the summer into winter transition. Vanilla Cupcake has a delicious and sweet smell to it, and very rich vanilla smelling! When I first heard the name I wanted to buy the big jar, but then I thought that it may be a little too sickly! So, I decided to just stick to the sampler to see how the smell does.
Vanilla Frosting is one I bought from Tesco so it was slightly cheaper than normal, again a very sweet vanilla smelling candle however isn't as strong smelling as vanilla cupcake, this is great if you don't want something heavy smelling and just a sweet note.

Favourite Yankee Candles for Autumn/Winter
The next two, were kindly gifted last Christmas to me and I love them for the winter winter time. By this I mean in the run up to Christmas and after as well. I have burnt a little bit of each last year to get a sense of smell and I love the way they just fill the room with this scent.
Christmas Cupcake has to be my favourite scent for Christmas, it just makes you feel so cheerful and happy and makes your house smell like a cake making factory! This doesn't smell sickly either!
Next is Winter Wonderland, this straight up smells like fresh pine. I love the smell of pine, oak and real christmas trees and this is all them smells in one compact jar. You seriously can get the house smelling all cosy and warm with this scent of wonderland.
Favourite Yankee Candles for Autumn/Winter
I have always loved burning tarts, they last for a super long time and they are a great way to test whether or not you are going to like the smell. These are ones again purchased from Tesco smell just amazing, Both are very spicy scents that are perfect for the fall time as they just fill the room up with all these amazing smells and makes the house feel very cosy and warm. If you like your strong, infusion scents then these are both for you!
Favourite Yankee Candles for Autumn/Winter

And finally, are two fairly new tarts to the growing collection. On the left is Vanilla Chai which just smells heavenly that I can't honestly wait to burn it! And on the right is my favourite candle scent ever! Salted Caramel just smells amazing and it isn't too sweet smelling either as there is a hint of salt.

Nails of the Week; BarryM Gelly || Blackberry ♥

It has been ages since I last showed you what was on my nails, and I will now be changing all of that! I love the pastels and neutrals in the summer, but I must say that I prefer the deep colours of the Autumn/Fall! This past week I have been wearing another BarryM Gelly in Blackberry! When I read the name and saw the colour I knew it didn't match - I think there is some confusion with the packaging but never the less... I still love it!

Just like any other Gelly polish; the formula is very thick so you either do one thick coat or two thin even layers and it gives you the perfect 'gel replica' nails! So glossy after two coats, I didn't feel the need to apply a top coat but I wanted them to last for a long time so I did and I am glad I did as they have lasted a whole week!! I fall in love with BarryM more and more each time I purchase something new.
BarryM Gelly Blackberry

The pictures on the top have been taken at different times of the day, I took the one on the left in this morning with no flash and the one on the right at night with the flash on. The colour is more of a deep, dark blue not a blackberry colour!
BarryM Gelly Blackberry

I may have also purchased a few more other BarryM nail varnishes when I picked this up!

Take a peek in inside my travel make-up bag ♥

Travelling. My love - whether it be up and around the country or around the world in a plane I love it. Today I will be showing you what products I am taking with me for a few days away with the family, so I am not taking a lot of things as I just want some make up that can make me look half decent and that I can take from day to night..let's get start on!
 travel make-up bag
First up my face. I have to take my UD Naked Palette with me everywhere, it is such a staple item now that I own it and I can use it to change my look from day to night and the shadows are so versatile.
Then I have a newer buy this is the Simple Kind to Skin BB Cream, and the reason that I am currently loving this so much is because it is designed for sensitive skin!! hallelujah!! A bb cream that won't break me out, and it has tiny shimmer particles to illuminate my skin for a fresh faced look. LOVE LOVE LOVE.
Yes. I am taking two concealers, but there is need for them both..I use the Collection one for under my eyes and redness and then the silver one is the one from Witch which is for blemishes and works like a wonderful. Powder love in the winter is from The Body Shop and is such a soft texture and feels amazing on the face and is full coverage in my opinion so over the light coverage of the bb cream and my concealer I love the  coverage.
 travel make-up bag

Taking brushes that are useful for everything is the best plan when travelling, the gold one you can see is the 'dupe' that I own for better blend of the bb cream and to set my concealer. The pink 'actual' RT brush is their multi task brush which I can use for powder and everything else.
As I am currently in lust over lip products I have to take options with me, first is MUA Power pout the perfect berry colour for the autumn time and the formula for these things are amazing. Then a Revlon lip butter for those lazy mornings and Peach Parfait is great for an everyday look. Party Proof in the white packaging came in my birch
box for this month and it a matte lipstick that I have fallen in love with, perfect for the night time.

That is everything I fit in my Jack Wills make up bag, and boy oh boy I still have room for all those skincare essentials!

Starting Off; Lipgloss/Stick ♥

Woah, the second to last week for 'The So Project'..I can't believe this has gone soo quick! I have slightly cheated with this post, as I actually used this whole post on a guest blog post for someone else! However, the lip products I was going to choose for this weeks starting off would have been the exact same, so I have just tweeked the post and used the same pictures! Hope you all enjoy and let me know you fav lip products!

Starting Off; Lipgloss/Stick

Starting Off; Lipgloss/Stick
First up, is my newest purchase from Revlon...this is there lip butter in 'Sorbet'. I have always heard so much about these little gems, and really wanted to try one out for myself and when I had the chance to buy one - I jumped with joy. These butters are so moisturising and feel amazing on your lips, there is also a wide range of colours some which are highly pigmented so that the colour shows on your lips and others that are sheer for those of us that aren't very daring. This one is a mix of both, and I love it to death and it smells amazing too.
Starting Off; Lipgloss/Stick
Next up, is a product that the blogger world can be blamed for! This is one of the two  Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquers that I own - this is in the shade  'Celestial'. This is such a pretty nude pink colour and is great for the night time and day time on your lips, the formula of these lip lacquers is also great because they don't feel sticky and feel very light on the lips. The brush on these however are quite frightening as they pile a lot of product on, so the best way to apply is using the underneath of the wand.
Starting Off; Lipgloss/Stick
Don't you just love the drug store? One of my favourite budget brands are MUA, they basically bring out all the dupes for the high end and expensive stuff! This is one of their lipsticks, that have recently been re packaged so that the bottom circle can come off - and stores a little bit of extra product. This is in the shade 'Nectar' and is a bright, bold orange colour that goes on your lips and looks beautiful. These lipsticks last for a very long time on your lips and apply so softly.
Starting Off; Lipgloss/Stick
This is another Revlon beauty and this is one of there lip glosses in the shade 'Peony'. This is a light, beige pink colour that actually applies and looks sheer and glittery on the lips, I find that it looks great on its own and on top of other lip products especially with the products I have mentioned above. The sponge applicator is great and evenly distributes the product across your lips and leaves your lips looking great!
Starting Off; Lipgloss/Stick
And finally, I have one of them staple 'I couldn't live without' lip glosses! This is a limited edition BarryM lip gloss I got from a Impulse bottle ages ago, thanks to Nicole telling me! This is a clear, glittery lip gloss that is basically sheer on you lips and on it own it looks amazing as well as it looking great on top of another colour. The only thing about using this on top of other lip colours is that it stains the applicator as it is white :( but oh well - a great product!

Lush | Catastrophe Cosmetic Face Mask Review ♥

These winter/autumn masks are really good to my skin, which is a surprise because I suffer from really dry skin. Saying that though, it does have a tendency to break out loads. In a recent trip to Lush, I asked the lovely assistant which mask she would recommend for skin that breaks out ect and she said  'Catastrophe Cosmetic' which is deep cleansing mask.

Catastrophe Cosmetic Face MaskCatastrophe Cosmetic Face Mask
Here is what Lush say; "here to lend you a bit of perspective, to tell you to calm down, it’s not the end of the world and it’s nothing that can't be sorted. Basically, this is your best mate in a pot."

Catastrophe Cosmetic Face MaskCatastrophe Cosmetic Face Mask

This little tub has been my number one skin saviour these past few weeks, due to the fresh blueberries that it contains you have to keep it in the fridge and there is a certain date to finish it up. I seem to have got more use out of the mask then it says on the pot which is 4. The texture is very weird, as it isn't soft and smooth but not rough and gritty. I apply this all over my face every week for 10 minutes; until it is dried up and use a hot wash cloth to wipe it all away.
I don't instantly see a difference, but after a good few hours my skin feels and looks amazing. It is so much softer, brighter and has calmed down loads.
If you are like me and suffer from sensitive skin that is dry and sometimes oily, then this mask is for you! This is also my first time trying a Lush face mask and it won't be the last time either.
5/5 for this!

Revlon Lip Butter Collection | Review + Swatches ♥

These not so little and quite expensive lip butters are a addiction of mine, from only having one I know own three. This post will show you a review and swatches of 'Sorbet', 'Berry Smoothie' and 'Peach Parfait' I can't pick a Favourite as they are all so amazing!
Revlon Lip Butter Collection

Packaging
I really love the 'faux-quilted' pattern on the tube covers, it looks elegant and adds a little bit of design without being too much. I also really like how the tops of them are clear, so that it enables you to look through the top and see what it looks like. The lids also match the colour of the lip butter which is lovely, as it is coordinating!
Revlon Lip Butter Collection

Revlon Lip Butter Collection
Berry Smoothie ( left swatch) - The shade is a light, cool-toned mauvy pink which doesn’t look over the top during day time since it’s sheer and the shimmer is very subtle. Of all three I have, this is the best for a night time look as well as for suiting every skin tone as it just balances everything out.

Peach Parfait (middle swatch) - When swatched it makes it look really sheer, but when on lips the colour is really pigmented and makes your lips look really natural and gives them this lovely peachy colour. I find my self always going to this one for an everyday nude lip, as it doesn't make it too over powering - just subtle.

Sorbet (right swatch) - Sorbet is what I would call a medium bright pink colour with cool undertones. You can build it up to its full intensity in 2-3 swipes, it covers up pigmented lips quite well. If you’re looking for a flattering bright pink lip colour, this is a great option! This is super pigmented and lasts for good 4 hours on my lips leaving the colour on there like a stain. Out of all of them, this is very glossy.

Overall, I love love love these! They are so moisturising and feel amazing on your lips, they slide on your lips just like normal lip balm yet the colour is so much more intense then your regular tinted lip balms. There are loads of shades in the range, wonder which I should try next?

Top 5 Autumn/Winter Nail Polishes ♥

Top 5 Autumn/Winter Nail Polishes
If any of you haven't guessed already, then let me in on a little secret .. I adore painting my nails! I don't care what time of day it is, or what mood I am! Painting my nails releases my stress and having polish on my bare nails makes my day when I look at them and really like the view! Today I bring you my fav's for autumn winter, the best time to get out all those deep colours and put away the bright pastels. I love these upcoming seasons and the transition from the summer months into the colder months couldn't make me more excited! Picking and narrowing it down to my top 5 was not easier!

Top 5 Autumn/Winter Nail Polishes

Just looking at the picture is making me want to paint my nails yet again! I also bought my self some nail wheels as they are so much easier to show you the nail colours on them my uneven, not manicured nails!
Barry M Gelly in Blackberry - I go on and on and about these Gelly nail polishes and if you are fed up of me then just say so! But honestly you guys I am not even lying the formula of these are amazing and they are so glossy and last for a lifetime on your nails! This lovely deep blue colour is perfect for the autumn time!

Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Wet Cement - This is one of those poundland buys and my oh my I am impressed! I freaking love Sally Hansen and everything that they do, but a polish is something I have never tried but now I will be trying out more. This grey colour is very unusual as I have never seen a colour quite like it, very cool toned and looks perfect on your nails.

Rimmel Lasting Finish in Black Cherries - Currently wearing this on my toes, I have become to realise why exactly I bought it last year. For me personally, this is my one and only true berry love. At first glance in the bottle it seems a very deep purple, then when on your nails after two coats it is a dark purple/ black. The name sounds so wintry and the colour is just heavenly.

MUA Moody Mink - Next up is a all time favourite from MUA - moody mink. I love their polishes, and this is why I fell in love with them in the first place..and moody mink (love the name as well it sounds so sweet and innocent). This is what I would call taupe and what a beautiful taupe it is. If you have never tried an MUA polish I would give it a go, for £1 you are getting a lovely nail polish that may not be great quality but is amazing.
Sinful Colours in Go Go Girl - I am loving Sinful Colours at the moment, and for only £1.99 they are amazing quality! Go Go Girl doesn't just have a cute name it is an amazing colour, it did take 3 thin coats to build it up, but after it did I fell in love with it. Christmas time is the best time for red polishes and this is my favourite colour ever.

All of the nail polishes in the picture swatch above is without any top coat! Hope you enjoyed this post and let me know your favourites down below...

Collective Beauty Haul #3 ft Primark,Yankee + More! ♥

Primark,Yankee + More!
Another month, another haul. Quick fact here - I bought this all that is pictured in the first image at the beginning of September and some in the end of late august...however I may have had to buy a few other things later in the month so they are down at the bottom. This is a range of different things and I think I need to go on a spending ban, this is just got out of control.
Primark,Yankee + More!

Primark,Yankee + More!

First stop as usual was Primark! I needed a few more basic and simple tops/jumpers for school and only ended up buying 2 to see how they go. The first is one of there basic long sleeve t-shirts in blue and white, these are great to just wear in the winter with a cardigan and jeans. I also bought a thin jumper from there basics range, to test it out and see how it feels in the colder months - there were a few colours but the purple stood out to me. I always seem to be buying make up wipes, but I go through them so quickly that I would rather just buy them whenever I can and have them in back up as such. I can always guarantee on Primark to have wipes on offer and these exfoliating with cucumber were only a £1 and I just couldn't resist! Every time I go in to the store I spot the nail art pens and when they they had a big red sticker that said £1 on I just grabbed them and bought them. I have also lost my handbag mirror so I bought my self a simple one that I can keep with me from now on. I only seem to have big chunky bracelets in my cupboard, so when I saw these simple and small ones I thought that they would be great to stack and wear just like that. Finally, a bought a set of silver rings as it has the cutest little silver bow ring and a dupe that is similar to pandora rings you can get.

Primark,Yankee + More!

Superdrug is so close to me now when I am at school, that I just can't help but go in for a browse. Late August I bought 5 of the baby lips which you can read more about here. I also finally bought an MUA Power Pout, these are just the cheaper versions of all them lip gloss things that are out there and I got the shade 'Crazy In Love' which you can also read more about here. Then I found these two nail polishes that are amazing colours for the autumn/winter time as they are deep and just lovely.

Primark,Yankee + More!
A few random purchases here! I had the chance of trying Wonka Nerds a few months ago and have been on the hunt for them ever since, when we found out that a local sweet shop stocked them as well as other american food goodies I bought two boxes which will keep me going for a while now. If you have never tried these; then I highly recommend them! Ever since I browsed the Yankee Candle website the other day I have wanted to buy these two tarts so bad..I usually buy the tarts from Yankee as a test to see whether or not I like them and then work my way up the candle ladder as such. Both 'Salted Caramel' and 'Vanilla Chai' have been burned and both smell amazing.. I will be buying the samplers next and a little tub too.

And just like I expected, I have bought a few more items! I popped back in to Yankee Candle and bought some more tarts and samplers to last me right up until Christmas! They always seem to have a basket full of goodies of the scents that they have now discontinued and one of my favs 'Strawberry Buttercream' was in that bit, so I picked that up. Then the other sampler I got was 'Christmas Eve' for that day as I love the smell! And then for tarts I bought 'Fireside Treats' which just smells all warm and cosy and one of their newer scents 'Snowflake Cookie' if I love this then I will be buying the jar and so far it smells amazing.
Primark,Yankee + More!
I then did a quick shop in Store Twenty One as it is very near to me, they don't usually have the greatest of clothes their however everything else seems to be amazing at this time of year! I bought two scarves as they were buy one get one half price, one is a butterfly print and the other is a Christmas print for the late winter season. I also saw this cute ornament of an owl that I have put on the top of my books on my desk and it looks so cute, and is my new best friend!

That's is for this month, don't expect one next month as I need to stop spending money!!
