Glitter Chat #2 - Christmas, Blogmas, New Year! ♥

Oh how it has been a while since I have just sat down and talked. Prepare for a long one guys, this could take a while. I have so much to tell you and so much has happened/happening since we last spoke...oh how time flies! We are at the end of November going into December which means we are closer than ever to Christmas and 2014! That is crazy when you say it out loud or even in your head, honestly time flies and I have had the best year in my life! This post it to just let you know about what is happening on my blog to the run up to the festive season!
Blogmas

I am doing blogmas this year (well hopefully) for those of you who are familiar with vlogmas then it is just the same but blogging, For the strangers to this name; I will be blogging everyday from the first of December to Christmas Eve! How exciting, some of the posts will be pre-written as I have a few festive posts I want to get up and others will be written on the day of something happening. I started planning all the posts at the start of the month and as it ends I am petrified. You can expect to see a range of different posts until Xmas Eve and then probably nothing for a few days as I will be taking a break to spend time with family and friends as well as relaxing and revising for mocks in January! You might be wondering why on earth I am telling you all of this but..I like for everyone to know before I do some drastic posting on my blog and you will be initiated with excitement. I hope you enjoy the posts as much as I did planning them and writing them, in the month of Novemeber/October I also installed photoshop in order to edit my photos properly as one of my blog resultions for this year and a lot of the blogmas posts have been edited using all the tools and psd's ect. so this is a very big step for me!!
Blogmas

After all of that craziness, there will be a short break on my blog as I want to enjoy some time with my family over the festive period..and revise for my mocks in January that start the third week into the month. Argh! But I will be back just before the new year for a quick post and then at the start of the new year, with lots of exciting posts and a blogging routine hopefully! I may also be reviewing/showing the things that I get as presents ... but I am undecided as I don't want to seem as though I am showing off - haha.

Next weekend, I am going to the clothes show which is also very exciting! I went last year with no idea what to expect and now this year I have saved up and can't wait to go. I will of course be blogging about it and hauling everything that I buy because you get some bargains on the day! My weekends have been so busy recently and will be now until the holidays..oh my days. I still need to finish my Christmas shopping as well, which I am hoping to do next Friday as I am in Leeds for the day with school - I think a shopping trip is in order. I want to pop into LUSH and pick up a few things as well as The Body Shop..but not spend too much.

Speak to you all soon - x

Decorate with Paper Themes ♥

With the festive seasons quickly approaching and everyone needing decorations for their party's or even for a wedding or in my case a anniversary party. My grandparents celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary on Thursday and as a thank you and happy anniversary we as a family decided to throw them a surprise party! Paper Themes very kindly supplied me with the party poppers, confetti and mini chocolates which all fit in the with the theme of gold and ivory that we set!
Here are some of the pictures from the night and the decor!
Paper Themes
This was the entrance table as all the guests walked in, we had champagne glasses and sholer bottles ready to go for the toast. Next to is the gorgeous eggless cake that we had made, the bottom square was vanilla and the love heart tier was chocolate - yummy. We decorated the table and the other tables with mini chocolates and confetti it looked so pretty and magical.
Paper Themes
When the decorations came in the post, they were all packed in a big brown box and inside were these sleek black boxes with the logo printed on the top that made it so much easier to carry and transport to the venue.

On the left are the beautifully patterned party poppers that look so pretty in real life, they made a quiet noise as well which is always good for those who get scared. The confetti is made up of gold and ivory love hearts and came in these cute little boxes. The bottom picture shows you how everything looked on the tables, both the things worked so well together and really pulled together the whole room.
Paper Themes
These mini milk chocolates, where the best. They were so much fun on the tables and tasted even better. I love the idea of having these as so many people were snacking on them as well as eating them afterwards or even took them home for afterwards.
Here are the links for everything, I love organising and decorating things as well. The venue we hired out was Alder House Hotel.

Websites like Paper Themes are so much more economical than buying them in store, and there are always fantastic offers going on.

EPSA Optimal Skin Proserum || Review ♥

My skin for me is a funny one and trying out new products makes me feel a little bit on edge only because I don't want anything I use to ruin my skin even more than it already is! Saying that, I do love using more luxury brands on my skin as I find that it actually helps the more money you spend on your skin. This the 'Optimal Skin Proserum' from ESPA which is one of their newer launches (September 2013) and is a formulation that feeds the skin with lots of goodness and treats your face with all of the powerful essential oils and strengthens your overall skin.

I received a little sample in the post and have been constantly for 2 weeks straight and I have seen such a big improvement in my skin! I only use it on my nose, cheeks and chin and this is where I have mainly dry skin and this serum has helped me so much and really targeted the dry skin and if I may say - got rid of the worst of it!
Overall, my skin now feels and looks a lot healthier and brighter - yay!
EPSA Optimal Skin Proserum

I only have a small 8ml sample and the full is 30ml but is a tad pricey so I might have to save up a lot..
Be sure to check out this and find out more! I also found this article all about the serum ... Telegraph

OOTD || Once upon a print ♥

My style is always something I love experimenting with and I find going out the best chance to do this and try out different clothes. One thing I tend to always avoid is print, until today when I wanted to go out there and just wear it and own it with style! After wearing this, my motto in life now is 'wear what I want and flaunt it - ignore the rest of them' and I believe that even though we always want to look great it doesn't matter what you wear or look like at long as you feel comfortable and cosy.

Chique Clothing

This dress is so pretty and this abstract print dress is full of so many lovely colours that just well together in one geometric print. I love that there is a low section at the front and then the back is longer - my favourite type of dress by far! The sheer panels at the top is just adding more style to your whole look. As we are in winter I decided to pair it with tights or you could wear leggings as this would keep me warm and still look great at the same time.

You can buy this dress from Chique Clothing a new women's boutique brand, where everything is glamorous, and feminine.  They design fashion that makes you stand out from the crowd and express your inner personality. Smooch Cosmetics || Review ♥

I love discovering new make-up brands and playing around with them to wear different looks and moving away from your traditional brands that are available in store. One of the new brands I have recently found out about is called 'Smooch'. In this post I will be telling you about the brand and review a few of their products!

About Smooch
“Cosmetics with Sex Appeal”
Smooch are know for their overall concept, which is creating make up that has saucy and sex feel to it without it being rude and disgusting! Their lacy and saucy packaging comes in a variety of colours and represents a drawer of lingerie. They want you to enjoy the make up that you are using and enjoy it, they are their to inspire the world of cosmetics.
Smooch want you to feel confident and the packaging is there so when you open it up you have this product that will make you feel and look great every time.

Smooch Cosmetics

If you think the photo looks pretty, you should see them in real life they are stunning! The design and overall packaging is totally cute and the names of each of their products are so well names and unusual to anything else you just want to wear it all the time!

Smooch Cosmetics
First up is lipstick my current and most recent addiction! These three colours and gorgeous and different to anything I have used before so at first when I swatched them on my had they were frightening...but on my lips I fell in love with them!! They are also very soft and easy to glide on to the lips and I have dry lips and this worked like a treat as well as staying on for ages!
Smooch Cosmetics

First up is 'Popping Pink' this is the colour that I have fallen head over heels for because it is a candy coloured pink lipstick that is sheer when applied, so the more you apply the more you are starting to build the colour up.

Smooch Cosmetics

'Hot Lips' is up next and this is a deep coral lipstick that just looks utterly stunning. Even though many think that coral is a summer lipstick this is perfect for the winter because it is much darker than your average coral colour and looks lovely in the day time.

-Smooch Cosmetics

And finally in the trio of lipsticks is 'Inferno'  which is what put me of the lipsticks at first as I have never been this daring with colours on my lips. But that all changed when I applied it as it is gawgus! When testing these I had neutral make up on and this lip colour added that big pop of colour that you need to refresh your every day make up look!
Smooch Cosmetics

Next up is the eye-shadow duo that is the perfect combo for the winter time, these two shades are heaven. The packaging is super chic and elegant as it is black and professional in my opinion. 'Filthy Rich' is a duo made up of a pearl coloured shadow and a copper coloured; that do not only work well together but will also look great paired and blended in together! Blending will create more of a sharp look as the colours totally contrast one another

v

As many of you know I do not have a huge collection of bronzers stocked up as I don't wear them very often! I think that is about to change, only because this bronzer is lovely and is one that doesn't make you look to muddy or even appear very dark on my skin which is always my main problem. 'Smooched' is a bronzer that comes with a small applicator that I think is great to contour your cheeks as it is very small and easy to use. It is a golden colour that will add definition and highlight to you make up look.

Hope you all enjoyed this review and be sure to find out more about Smooch using the links down below and maybe make a few cheeky purchases for Christmas as everything is so affordable!

Top 5 Autumn/Winter Lip Products ♥

After posting my Autumn/Winter Nail Polishes, I wanted to follow it up with a lip post as well as I think that it is a great thing to mix or even match up your lip and nail colours and that is exactly what I am going to show you. There are so many lip trends this season, from berry's to deep reds and something everyone can pull off - the nude lip. All swatches are at the end of this post.
Top 5 Autumn/Winter Lip Products

First up is a lip gloss from 2True that I blogged about a while back, this is a lovely plum colour from 2True in shade 16/Plum and when applied to the lips comes off very sheer with a slight hint of plum colour. This is quite a sticky formula but after a while wears off and leaves your lips looking amazing.
Top 5 Autumn/Winter Lip Products
Next up is a lipstick that I received in my Birchbox last month, this is a matte nude lipstick with a slight pink tint and I love the final matte finish off it. This is in the shade Kitty and it is great for everyday and the night as it goes with everything and anything.
Top 5 Autumn/Winter Lip Products
How could I not mention a lip butter in this post? This is Berry Smoothie and is very sheer with one coat and then when you put more coats on the colour builds up and it appears more berry like. This is a shimmery butter so when on the lips it looks great and anyone can pull this colour off. As far as formula goes it is so silky on the lips and easy to apply.
Top 5 Autumn/Winter Lip Products
This is the darkest shade of all from MUA in Shade 1 this is a cherry red colour and this is best for people with medium skin tones as it can be very overpowering if you carry on applying it layer after layer. It also has tones of purple in it which is weird yet works really well. This is great if you wear it with neutral make up and your lips will be the statement piece of the whole look. Also, what can go wrong with a lipstick that is only £1!! Bargain..
Top 5 Autumn/Winter Lip Products

Finally. is one that I only blogged about a few weeks or even over a month ago now. Since then I haven't stopped wearing it because this is a deep berry lip gloss/stick/balm/ stain. The pigment in this thing is amazing and just like the rest after layering it up you can really get a deep coloured lip, it does apply sheer and is more than wearable for everyone.
Top 5 Autumn/Winter Lip Products
Here are some swatches of the products in the order you have just seen them in above, on the left it taken with the flash on and the right is without. I decided to do with flash and without because it really makes a difference when you wear it and the lighting around you.

Sexy Hair Products || Review ♥

I first head about the 'Sexy Hair Products' on Beauty Bay, but there is so much choice that I didn't know what to get! When I had the chance to review ones that were perfect for my hair type I couldn't wait to see how they worked with my difficult hair type!
Sexy Hair Products

First up your classic hairspray, but this isn't no already hairspray! Not only does it keep your hair in place all day but it adds volume at the same time and my mum told me when I had it on my hair that it gives it a lovely shine that doesn't make it look greasy or oily! And because it is healthy it also protects from environmental damage.

Sexy Hair Products

I only curly my hair every so often, but my mum has extremely curly hair - like thick curly hair. So, I gave her the chance to review this and try it out as that would be more beneficial than me! It is now her holy grail product as she finds that it doesn't knot her hair up after she has dried it. It also conditions your hair to leave it looking really lovely! Saying that I also used it over night when I 'waved' my hair and it worked like a gem and kept the curls.

Sexy Hair Products

Finally. the one I was most excited to try!
According to the bottle this is new and I had never heard of it so I was really excited, as it claims to help humidity and for a girl who walks in the wind all the time and we are currently in the windy/rainy season I really wanted to put this to the test. Oh my goodness me! This stuff smells amazing and keeps me hair protected from the humid conditions outside. Frizz is controlled and you can still have that volume from the morning.

Two Little Birdies || Review ♥

When I got the chance to be able to review this lovely notebook I couldn't refuse the amazing offer! This 'very special notebook' from Two Little Birdies is so cute and to be fair so are all of their products they have available!
Two Little Birdies
When I opened the parcel it was wrapped up with a cute little rope bow and a tag! I was in awe at how pretty they had made their packaging! I opened it up so carefully because I like to keep things like this safely, and when I did unwrap it I couldn't believe how adorable the actual notebook was!
The products on their site are all from new talented people and they truly believe in british desginers and many of their things are made right in our country!
Two Little BirdiesTwo Little Birdies

I have now officially names this notebook my 'blogging notebook' where all my ideas and brain storms will be jotted down. The top right hand corner has a list of the days of the week, so I can also write down a to-do list for each week to keep me on top of things. I love the feel and rustic look of this notebook, as it is different to anything and everything I have ever bought.

October Favourites ♥

First of all I would like to apologise for not doing a September Favourites, there wasn't a great deal of new things or even old things that I had been loving that month so I thought instead of boring you guys I would just leave that month out! However, I have got some October Favourites to share with you and my oh my is there a range of them!

October Favourites
First up skincare, I have been loving both these things from Nivea this month as I suffer from really bad dry skin in the autumn and winter months. So these have been my skin care saviours! The Nivea lotion for me is great to use on my legs, arms and body as it really nourishes my skin and leaves it feeling silky soft all day long. The pink tub, is there hydration express primer and holy moly I am in love with it. There will be a full review coming up on this but for now let me just tell you that this primer works so well at keeping my make up on my face all day; but it also helps with the dry patches and gives them love so that my foundation doesn't appear flaky and patchy.
October Favourites

Another skincare saviour this month, has to be the Tea Tree oil from Superdrug, I used a little bit of this on a cotton round every night for a week to soothe and calm down my breakouts. Not only did it help with the redness and spots, but it also helped with the scaring I have from previous breakouts. The scent can be very intimidating for some and was for me at first, but after a few tries and go's with it you just become immune to it.
October Favourites

Then for the more beauty items, I have been loving the body shop oil control powder. I have used this nearly everyday on my face over the bb cream I am currently using and it has such a nice finish and works well with my other products to give me a long lasting finish. A nail polish that has to be mentioned in this months favourites is 'Black Cherries' by Rimmel, I haven't stopped reapplying this on my toes since the start of the month, even though it lasts for ages I like to redo the colour as a touch up. It is a lovely deep purple with a slight hint of black in it. For school I have been loving both these lip products equally as they both give my everyday look some natural glow. The baby lips is in 'Peach Kiss' and the Party Proof lipstick in 'Kitty' are both nudes, the party proof one is more of a pinky nude then the other which is a brown nude. Both of these give my lips some colour during the day and complete my whole face.
October Favourites  October Favourites

Here are the more random favourites for this month - starting off with food! I have been craving these Caramel Snack A Jack's all month, they are the perfect sweet treat when you want something sweet and sugary yet is very healthy for you. I like to eat these on their own as well as with a spread of peanut butter on top - heaven on a plate.

This months music favourite has to be from The Vamps and their song 'Can We Dance', I only really heard this song a few weeks back and since then have completely fallen in love with it and the band its self to be honest. The song is very catchy and great to get into a good mood on one of those days..

Something else that I have been loving these weekend is the new series that Khila a.k.a 'MissBudgetBeauty' has started on her vlog channel. For those of you who don't know who she is then.. where have you been? Khila is a mum to two, with a vlog, blog and beauty channel! She has just finished doing Vlogtober and I have been loving one of the videos as part of her 'Khila Talks' series which is where she does like a chat show with other youtubers and bloggers about life! The one I have been loving is about Time Management, and I really learnt a few things from that video.
If you haven't heard of Khila before or never seen her videos or even blog posts then I highly recommend you do so!
